Wow! Then, the Blessed One said to him: "Child, have your parents given permission?" Dhritarashtra replied: "Venerable One, they have not given permission." The Blessed One said: "Child, the Tathagatas or the Shravaka disciples of the Tathagatas do not ordain or grant full ordination to those who have not been permitted by their parents." Then, Dhritarashtra went to his parents, and after going, praised the Buddha, saying: "I have seen the Blessed One, the perfectly enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni, who renounced the vast kingdom of a Chakravartin king and sixty thousand consorts, shaved his head, wore robes, and was living by begging for alms in this vast land. I, Blessed One, am fit to follow you into ordination." Then, his parents did not give permission. Then, he fasted from one day, two days, three days to six days. Then, Dhritarashtra's parents went to where their son Dhritarashtra was, and after going, said this to their son Dhritarashtra: "Son Dhritarashtra, know this! You are happily staying here, desiring comfort, you have not experienced suffering, and practicing Brahmacharya is difficult to practice. Living in solitude is difficult. Living alone is difficult to enjoy. Residing in secluded places, deep forests, and remote places is difficult even to think about. Son Dhritarashtra, stay here and enjoy all kinds of desires! Also give alms, and also accumulate merit!" Even when they said this, the householder's son Dhritarashtra said nothing. Then, the householder's son Dhritarashtra's parents urged the relatives, saying: "Hey, relatives, persuade our son Dhritarashtra!" Then, the relatives of the householder's son Dhritarashtra went to where the householder's son Dhritarashtra was, and after arriving, said this to the householder's son Dhritarashtra: "Son Dhritarashtra, know this! You are happily staying here, desiring comfort, you have not experienced suffering, and practicing Brahmacharya is difficult to practice.

O! To live in solitude is difficult. To live alone is difficult to enjoy. To settle in a secluded place, in the depths of the forest, and in remote places is difficult even to think about. Son, guardian of the land, stay here and enjoy your desires! Give alms, accumulate merit! Even if they said this, the householder's son, the guardian of the land, would not say anything. Then, the parents of the householder's son, the guardian of the land, urged the friends of the guardian of the land, saying: 'Children, persuade the son, the guardian of the land!'. Then, the friends of the householder's son, the guardian of the land, went to the place where the guardian of the land was, and after arriving, they said this to the householder's son, the guardian of the land: 'Hey, guardian of the land, you should understand! You are living happily like this, wanting comfort, because you have not experienced suffering, and it is difficult to keep celibacy. To live in solitude is difficult. To live alone is difficult to enjoy. To settle in a secluded place, in the depths of the forest, and in remote places is difficult even to think about.' Therefore, guardian of the land, stay here and enjoy your desires! Give alms, accumulate merit! Even if they said this, the householder's son, the guardian of the land, would not say anything. Then, the friends of the householder's son, the guardian of the land, went to the place where the parents of the guardian of the land were, and after arriving, they said this to the parents of the householder's son, the guardian of the land: 'Father and mother, please listen! Therefore, the guardian of the land would rather die, but with true faith, allow him to go forth from home to homelessness. If he enjoys going forth, then if he is alive, you will still see him. If he is not happy, then there is no one else for the son to go to except his parents.' The two parents said: 'Children, if the son, the guardian of the land, comes to see us after going forth, then allow it like that!'. Then, the friends of the householder's son, the guardian of the land, went to the place where the householder's son, the guardian of the land, was

Then he came to the Land Protector and said this: 'Land Protector, your ordination is permitted by both parents. If you can meet after ordination, then it is allowed.' The Land Protector said: 'It is possible to meet.' After that, the householder's son, Land Protector, gradually increased his physical strength and power, went to where the Blessed One was, and after arriving, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat to one side. After sitting to one side, the householder's son, Land Protector, said this to the Blessed One: 'Venerable One, I have been permitted by my parents, and if I can be ordained and fully ordained in the Dharma and Vinaya well-spoken by you, and obtain the status of a Bhikshu, then I also wish to practice Brahmacharya in the presence of the Blessed One.' After that, the son of good family, Land Protector, became ordained and fully ordained in the Dharma and Vinaya well-spoken by the Blessed One, and obtained the status of a Bhikshu. After he was ordained in this way, through diligence, practice, and effort, he realized that this wheel of samsara of the five-eyed ordinary person is shaking and unstable, and thus completely cut off all aspects of the overturning, falling, scattering, and destroying Dharma. Having abandoned all defilements, he directly realized the state of an Arhat. The Arhat, having abandoned the desire of the three realms, became equal like gold and dirt, possessing a mind like the sky and the palm of the hand, and became cool like sandalwood soaked in water. He shattered the eggshell with wisdom.
