Scattering various kinds. Many arose from the mouth. He illuminated all directions. Just like the sun rising. Again, he requested in verse. Those who are free from arrogance, do not like fatness, and have abandoned it. The Buddhas are the sacred source of beings. The victorious conquerors of enemies do not show a smile like the root of a lotus or the color of a conch shell without cause or reason. Since the steadfast ones know the timing with their own wisdom. Ascetics, kings, those who seek to listen. Please eliminate the doubts that arise in the good ones with the steadfast and excellent words of the supreme guide. Those who are as steadfast as the ocean and the king of mountains. Why do the protectors, the perfect Buddhas, not smile now? For whose sake do the heroes show a smile? It is hoped that most people will hear from you. The Blessed One said: Ananda, it is just so. It is just so. Ananda, the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the perfectly enlightened Buddhas, do not smile without cause or reason. Ananda, have you seen this guardian of the Jeta Grove honoring me in this way? Venerable one, I have seen it. Ananda, this guardian of the Jeta Grove, with the roots of virtue, the generation of Bodhicitta, and the complete giving of the Dharma, has perfectly accomplished the Bodhi that is to be perfectly accomplished by three countless eons. Having been completely subdued by great compassion, he has perfected the six perfections. Endowed with the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three unmixed mindfulnesses, and the perfectly enlightened Buddha with great compassion, he will become a Buddha named Lotus Master, and will appear in the world. The Dharma that he gives is this that makes my mind manifest joy. After the Blessed One had spoken thus, the monks rejoiced and greatly praised the words spoken by the Blessed One. Pañcala means that the kings, ministers, wealthy people, palace attendants, merchants, and captains towards the Buddha, the Blessed One

At that time, the king of the northern Panchala became discordant with the king of the southern Panchala. Then, King Pasenadi of Kosala went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, King Pasenadi of Kosala said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable One, the Blessed One is the supreme king of Dharma, the protector of impoverished beings, the pacifier of those who harbor mutual animosity. Now, the king of the northern Panchala is discordant with the king of the southern Panchala, and they are killing many people on both sides. Out of compassion, may the Blessed One pacify their long-standing animosity." Then, the Blessed One did not say anything to King Pasenadi of Kosala, but gave his consent by remaining silent. Then, King Pasenadi of Kosala, realizing that the Blessed One had given his consent by not speaking, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, rose from his seat, and departed. Then, the Blessed One, on the following morning, having put on his lower robe and Dharma robes, and taking his alms bowl, went to the towns of the Kashi region in the direction of Varanasi, gradually wandering, and arrived in Varanasi, and dwelt in the Deer Park at Isipatana in Varanasi. Then, after some time, those two, the Blessed One, me.

Knowing that they had gone to our country. Then, the Blessed One, through the power of his miraculous abilities, conjured an army of four divisions. The king of the northern Panchala, frightened and terrified, rode on a chariot and went to the Blessed One, who taught him the Dharma that causes enmity to arise. Having heard this Dharma, he went forth at the feet of the Blessed One. Through diligence, practice, and effort, he abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of an Arhat. The king of the southern Panchala also invited the Blessed One, together with the Sangha of his disciples, for three months. He offered food with a hundred flavors and also offered clothes worth a hundred thousand, and made the aspiration: "By this root of virtue, generation of bodhicitta, and the act of completely giving away Dharma, may I become a Buddha who leads the blind world that has no guide and no complete guide, liberating beings who have not been liberated, freeing those who have not been freed, giving breath to those who have not received breath, and completely releasing those who have not completely passed beyond suffering." Then, the Blessed One, knowing the cause and effect of that king of the southern Panchala, and the continuation of karma, smiled. This is the nature of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, when they smile. At that time, blue, yellow, red, and white rays of light came forth from his mouth, some going downwards and some going upwards. Those that went downwards cooled and descended upon the beings in the hot hells, such as the Reviving Hell, the Black Line Hell, the Crushing Hell, the Howling Hell, the Great Howling Hell, the Hot Hell, the Very Hot Hell, the Hell Without Interruption, the Blister Hell, the Bursting Blister Hell, the Gnashing Teeth Hell, the 'Kyihud' Hell, the 'Achu' Hell, the hells where beings burst open like উৎপল (utpala, utpala, blue lotus), like lotuses, and like great lotuses. Those that were in the cold hells felt warmth and descended. Thus, the specific sufferings of those beings were pacified. Then,
