Done. The Blessed One said: Monks, the beautiful one, in other past lives, has accumulated merit and possessed the conditions, appearing as if riding on a wave of success. Because of doing and accumulating those deeds that will not be in vain, who else will experience those deeds done and accumulated by the beautiful one? Monks, the deeds done and accumulated will not ripen in the external earth element, nor will they ripen in the water element, fire element, or wind element. The virtuous and non-virtuous deeds done and accumulated will only ripen in the aggregates, realms, and sources that are grasped. The deeds of sentient beings will not be wasted even in hundreds of kalpas. When they gather and the time arrives, they will naturally ripen into fruit. Monks, it happened in the past that in this fortunate kalpa, when the life span of beings was forty thousand years, the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, unsurpassed guide of beings to be tamed, teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Blessed One, named "Destroyer of Samsara," appeared in the world. He resided in the royal palace in the beautiful city. Then, King Beauty built a stupa for his hair and nails. Later, on one occasion, during a festival, some friends went to the stupa. Seeing the stupa, they developed faith and offered flowers. Among them, one friend said, "I have nothing, so I will do nothing." Saying this, he left those friends, but later he felt regret. So, he gathered various kinds of flowers and offered them to that stupa. The Blessed One said: Monks, what do you think? At that time, the one who felt regret and offered flowers to the stupa of hair and nails of the perfectly enlightened Buddha "Destroyer of Samsara" was this beautiful one. Monks, the beautiful one has also done and accumulated other deeds.

Monks, in the past, in the city of Varanasi, there lived a merchant who saw a sick Pratyekabuddha. Then he developed faith, prostrated at his feet, and offered alms and clothes. Monks, what do you think? Who was the merchant at that time? It was this beautiful one. Furthermore, during the time of the Blessed One Light Protector, a poor man became a woodworker. He drove a wooden peg into a ridge of a mountain. When he saw a stupa, grass had grown around the stupa. Then he developed faith, pulled out all the grass, and swept the stupa and the area around the stupa with a broom. Then he prostrated at his feet and made a prayer: "By this root of virtue and bodhicitta, may I have a good appearance, be pleasing to look at, and be beautiful. In the future, may I please the perfectly enlightened Buddhas, and may I not displease them." The Blessed One said: "Monks, what do you think? Who was the poor woodworker at that time? It was this beautiful one. Because he swept the stupa and the area around the stupa, wherever he was born, he had a good appearance, was pleasing to look at, and was beautiful. For that very reason, he has now directly realized the state of an Arhat." Monks, therefore, actions that are definitely dark will definitely have dark results. Actions that are definitely white will definitely have white results. Mixed actions will have mixed results. Monks, therefore, abandon actions that are definitely dark and mixed actions, and focus only on actions that are definitely white. Monks, you should train yourselves in this way." After the Blessed One spoke these words, the monks rejoiced and praised the words of the Blessed One. The Hundred Parables of Gangpo, etc., Volume Twenty, Kapina.

I, the great ministers, the wealthy, the people around the palace, the merchants, the captains, the gods, the nagas, the yakshas, the asuras, the garudas, the kinnaras, and the great belly-crawlers, respected, regarded as teachers, depicted, and made offerings. The Blessed One Buddha, endowed with great merit, who is worshiped and known by the gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and great belly-crawlers, having obtained robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicines, and medical supplies, was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika's Garden, together with the monastic community of hearers. At that time, in the south, there was a king named "Thoughtful," and when he was king, there was wealth, prosperity, peace, good harvests, fullness of people and populace, cessation of disputes and battles, cessation of disturbances and internal strife, absence of thieves, famine, and diseases, and possession of rice, sugarcane, cattle, and buffaloes. There was no harm, and he ruled the kingdom like caring for a single son without thorns. Later, after some time, he played and rejoiced with his queen. As he played and rejoiced, the queen conceived, and after eight or nine months, she gave birth to a son, a boy who was handsome, pleasing to the eye, beautiful, and complete in all limbs and details. Then, they held a birth celebration for him and named him Kapina. After that, the young prince Kapina was entrusted to eight nurses: two nurses who nurtured him in their arms, two nurses who nursed him, two nurses who cleaned his dirt, and two nurses who played with him. These eight nurses raised him with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, cream essence, and all other kinds of excellent provisions, so that he grew vigorously like a lotus in a lake. On the very day that the prince Kapina was born, eighty thousand ministers
