ས་ཀྱང་འཛུམ་དམུལ་ཏེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ནི་ཇི་ལྟར་འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་ན་འཁོར་བཞི་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་གང་བ་བཞིན་དུ་འདི་ན་ཡང་འཁོར་མང་པོ་དང་བཞུགས་སོ་སྙམ་མོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོའི་སེམས་ཐུགས་ཀྱིས་མཁྱེན་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་འདི་དག་ལ་ནི་རང་དབང་མེད་དེ། གང་གི་ཚེ་ངས་དེང་ ཤིག་ཅེས་བསམས་ན་ནི་དེའི་ཚེ་འདོང་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །གང་གི་ཚེ་ངས་ཤོག་ཤིག་ཅེས་བསམས་ན་ནི་དེའི་ཚེ་འོང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། སེམས་ཀྱིས་ངའི་བསམ་པ་ཤེས་ནས་འོང་བ་དང་འདོང་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དེ་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་སོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་ལ་མགོ་བོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ་ཕྱོགས་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་གོ །ཕྱོགས་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོས་ལྷའི་འཁོར་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བལྟས་ཏེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཀྱེ་མ་ལྷའི་འཁོར་སྣ་ཚོགས་འདུས་ཤིང་འཁོད་ལགས་སོ། །ལྷའི་འཁོར་གྱི་ནང་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ་ཤེས་ནས་དད་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ་ལུས་དང་བྲལ་ནས་འདིར་སྐྱེས་པའི་ལྷ་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་ཀྱང་མཆིས་སོ། །ཆོས་དང་དགེ་འདུན་དང་འཕགས་པ་དགྱེས་པའི་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ལ་ཤེས་ནས་དད་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ་ལུས་དང་བྲལ་ནས་འདིར་སྐྱེས་པ་དག་ཀྱང་མཆིས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོས་སྨྲས་པ་ལ་འཐུན་པར་དགོངས་ཏེ་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་ནོ། །དེ་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་ཏེ། ཀྱེ་མ་ལྷའི་འཁོར་སྣ་ཚོགས་འདུས་ཤིང་འཁོད་དོ། །ལྷའི་འཁོར་གྱི་ནང་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ་ཤེས་ནས་དད་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ་ལུས་དང་བྲལ་ནས་འདིར་སྐྱེས་པའི་ལྷ་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་ཀྱང་ཡོད་དོ། །ཆོས་དང་དགེ་འདུན་དང་འཕགས་པ་དགྱེས་པའི་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ལ་ཤེས་ནས་དད་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ་ལུས་དང་བྲལ་ནས་འདིར་སྐྱེས་པའི་ལྷ་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་ཀྱང་ཡོད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་གསུངས་པ་དང་། ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོས་སྨྲས་པ་ལ་འཐུན་པར་བསམས་ཏེ། ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །བཙུན་པ་མཽང་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་ནོ། །དེ་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་ཏེ། ཀྱེ་མ་ལྷའི་འཁོར་སྣ་ཚོགས་འདུས་ཤིང་འཁོ

大地也绽放笑容，心想：世尊如在阎浮提洲被四大眷属充满一样，这里也有众多的眷属居住啊！然后，世尊以心了知了具寿大目犍连子的心意，对具寿大目犍连子这样说道：目犍连子，这些是没有自主的，当我想“去！”的时候，那时就会离去。当我想“来！”的时候，那时就会到来，因为心知道我的想法，所以会来和去。然后，具寿大目犍连子前往世尊所在之处，到达后，以头顶礼世尊的双足，然后坐于一旁。坐于一旁后，具寿大目犍连子看着所有的天人眷属，对世尊这样禀告道：尊者，奇哉！天人的眷属各种各样地聚集和安住啊！天人的眷属中，也有了知佛陀，具有信心，脱离身体后转生到这里的这样的天人。也有了知佛法、僧伽和圣者所喜悦的戒律，具有信心，脱离身体后转生到这里的。然后，世尊认为具寿大目犍连子所说的话是合适的，对具寿大目犍连子这样说道：大目犍连子，正是这样，正是这样！奇哉！天人的眷属各种各样地聚集和安住啊！天人的眷属中，也有了知佛陀，具有信心，脱离身体后转生到这里的这样的天人。也有了知佛法、僧伽和圣者所喜悦的戒律，具有信心，脱离身体后转生到这里的这样的天人。然后，天神帝释认为世尊所说的话和具寿大目犍连子所说的话是相符的，对具寿大目犍连子这样说道：尊者大目犍连子，正是这样，正是这样！奇哉！天人的眷属各种各样地聚集和安

The earth also smiled, thinking: "Just as the Blessed One is filled with the fourfold assembly in Jambudvipa, so too, there are many retinues dwelling here!" Then, the Blessed One, knowing the mind of the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana, spoke thus to the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana: "Maudgalyāyana, these have no autonomy. When I think, 'Go!' then they will depart. When I think, 'Come!' then they will come. Because the mind knows my thought, they will come and go." Then, the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana looked at all the retinue of gods and said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, how amazing! The retinue of gods is gathered and settled in various ways! Among the retinue of gods, there are also such gods who, having known the Buddha, possessing faith, and having separated from the body, were born here. There are also those who, having known the Dharma, the Sangha, and the precepts pleasing to the noble ones, possessing faith, and having separated from the body, were born here." Then, the Blessed One, considering that what the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana said was fitting, spoke thus to the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana: "Mahāmaudgalyāyana, it is just so, it is just so! How amazing! The retinue of gods is gathered and settled in various ways! Among the retinue of gods, there are also such gods who, having known the Buddha, possessing faith, and having separated from the body, were born here. There are also those who, having known the Dharma, the Sangha, and the precepts pleasing to the noble ones, possessing faith, and having separated from the body, were born here." 如是。天众眷属之中，有知晓佛陀而具足信心，身离之后生于此处的诸天，也有如是之辈。有知晓佛法僧三宝和圣者所喜悦之戒律，而具足信心，身离之后生于此处的诸天，也有如是之辈。其后，另一位天子也认为世尊所说，以及具寿大目犍连子和天帝释所说相符，便对具寿大目犍连子如是说道：尊者大目犍连子，正是如此。正是如此。奇哉！天众眷属各种聚集安住。天众眷属之中，有知晓佛陀而具足信心，身离之后生于此处的诸天，也有如是之辈。有知晓佛法僧三宝和圣者所喜悦之戒律，而具足信心，身离之后生于此处的诸天，也有如是之辈。其后，某些天人从座位上起身，袒露右肩，向世尊所在的方向合掌致敬，对世尊如是禀告道：尊者，我等是知晓佛陀而具足信心，身离之后生于此处的。其他天人也如是禀告道：尊者，我等是知晓佛法僧三宝和圣者所喜悦之戒律，而具足信心，身离之后生于此处的。其后，在那里，成百上千的天人，成千上万的天人，成千累万的天人，在世尊面前各自作了证悟入流果的表示，随即隐没不见。其后，具寿大目犍连子知晓诸天已离去，便袒露右肩，向世尊所在的方向合掌致敬，对世尊如是禀告道：尊者，赡部洲（南瞻部洲）的四众弟子，都向世尊的足下顶礼，（询问）损害小吗？恐惧少吗？行动轻快吗？生活吗？有力量吗？安乐吗？没有不适吗？安住于触及安乐之中吗？世尊开示道：

So it is. Among the assembly of gods, there are gods who, having known the Buddha and possessing faith, have separated from their bodies and been born here, such beings also exist. There are also those who, having known the Dharma, the Sangha, and the precepts pleasing to the noble ones, and possessing faith, have separated from their bodies and been born here, such beings also exist. Then, another son of the gods, thinking that what the Blessed One said, and what the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana and the lord of the gods, Indra, said were in agreement, spoke thus to the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana: Venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana, so it is. So it is. Alas! The assembly of gods gathers and dwells in various ways. Among the assembly of gods, there are gods who, having known the Buddha and possessing faith, have separated from their bodies and been born here, such beings also exist. There are also those who, having known the Dharma, the Sangha, and the precepts pleasing to the noble ones, and possessing faith, have separated from their bodies and been born here, such beings also exist. Then, some of the gods rose from their seats, bared one shoulder, and, bowing with their palms joined together towards where the Blessed One was, addressed the Blessed One thus: Venerable One, we are those who, having known the Buddha and possessing faith, have separated from our bodies and been born here. Other gods also addressed him thus: Venerable One, we are those who, having known the Dharma, the Sangha, and the precepts pleasing to the noble ones, and possessing faith, have separated from our bodies and been born here. Then, there, hundreds of thousands of gods, thousands of thousands of gods, and hundreds of thousands of gods, in front of the Blessed One, each made a sign of attaining the fruit of stream-entry and immediately disappeared. Then, the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana, knowing that the gods had departed, bared one shoulder, and, bowing with his palms joined together towards where the Blessed One was, addressed the Blessed One thus: Venerable One, the fourfold assembly in Jambudvipa (Southern Continent) pay homage at the feet of the Blessed One, (asking) is the harm small? Is the fear little? Is the movement light? Do they live? Do they have strength? Are they happy? Do they have no discomfort? Do they abide in touching happiness? The Blessed One said:
