In a certain place, there lived a captain who took a wife from his own clan, and together they played and rejoiced, indulging in pleasure. As he played and rejoiced, he thought to himself: 'As long as I am young and strong, I should accumulate wealth. Later, when I am old, I can enjoy a comfortable life.' So, the captain bought a sea vessel with five hundred servants and merchants, and together with his wife, they embarked into the great ocean. After some time, his wife became pregnant and gave birth to a son in the ocean itself. The boy was handsome, pleasing to the eye, and beautiful. Then, they held a birth celebration for him and named him 'Ocean.' Later, the captain completed his voyage and returned safely from the great ocean. When the boy Ocean grew up, his father appointed him as the captain and sent him to the great ocean with five hundred servants and merchants. As they gradually sailed, they saw villages, towns, cities, countryside, the king's palace, and markets, and finally reached the seashore. He hired a boat for five hundred Karshapanas and also hired five types of wage earners: bilge pumpers, water sweepers, helmsmen, bird watchers, and mast holders. 那时，船上的一位居士说道：‘唉，六师外道和其他神灵对你们没有任何帮助。真心皈依显而易见的本师佛陀吧，他会成为你们的救护者。’然后，船长海以及五百名商人一起高声皈依了本师佛陀。那时，本师佛陀对任何事情都没有不了解、看不到、不理解或不明白的。本师佛陀具有伟大的慈悲心，致力于利益世界，具有唯一的保护，是唯一的勇士，无与伦比，不说二话，安住于止和观，显现三种智慧，精通三学，精通三种调伏之基，超越四条河流，具有神变之足的四足跟非常稳固，长久以来熟悉四摄，以四无畏而不畏惧，发出最胜狮子吼，完全舍弃五种支分，完全超越五趣轮回，具有六种功德，圆满了六度，安住于六种常住之事，富含七觉支之花，宣说八支道，精通九次第定，具有十力，名声远扬十方，比掌控十个百倍的力量还要卓越。按照法性，他们日夜三次以佛眼观察世界，谁衰败，谁兴盛，谁贫困，谁可怜，谁有损害，谁贫困、可怜且有损害，谁倾向于恶道，谁堕入恶道，谁已堕入恶道，谁将被我从恶道中救出，安置于天界、解脱和果位，谁将从欲望的泥潭中被拉出来，谁将从没有七圣财的状态被置于拥有七圣财的地位。

The Teacher Buddha is endowed with great compassion, engaged in benefiting the world, possesses the sole protection, is the sole hero, incomparable, does not speak in two ways, abides in tranquility and insight, manifests the three knowledges, is well-versed in the three trainings, is skilled in the three bases of discipline, has crossed the four rivers, has the soles of his feet of the four miraculous legs extremely firm, has long been familiar with the four means of gathering, is fearless with the four fearlessnesses, roars the great lion's roar of the supreme leader, has completely abandoned the five branches, has completely transcended the five realms of existence, possesses six qualities, has completely perfected the six perfections, abides in the six things to be constantly abided in, is rich with the flowers of the seven branches of enlightenment, teaches the eightfold path, is skilled in the nine successive abidings, possesses the ten powers, is universally expanded by fame in the ten directions, and is far more excellent than those who control ten hundredfold powers. According to the Dharma nature, they observe the world three times during the day and three times during the night with the Buddha's eye, who declines, who prospers, who is impoverished, who is miserable, who has harm, who is impoverished, miserable, and has harm, who inclines towards the evil realms, who falls into the evil realms, who has fallen into the evil realms, who will I rescue from the evil realms and place in the heavenly realm, liberation, and the fruit, who will be pulled out of the mire of desire, who will be placed in the position of possessing the seven noble riches from the state of not having the seven noble riches.

Should be placed in... Whoever has not generated roots of virtue, cause them to arise. Whoever has already generated roots of virtue, cause them to fully mature. Whoever has already fully matured, cause them to attain liberation, thus entering into the contemplation of wisdom. Here it is said: The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, the waves of time may recede. But for the sons to be tamed, the time of the Buddha's teachings will never be missed. Then, for a time, the Blessed One resided in the garden of Prince Jeta, emitting light surpassing a thousand suns, a golden-colored light illuminating all the merchants. He also emitted rays of loving-kindness cultivated for thousands of kalpas, cooling them with these rays and also repelling the black yaksha's wind. Then, for a time, the caravan leader Ocean Vessel Meaning Accomplished returned safely from the vast ocean, and because he was weary of death, he gave alms and gave generously, relieving his relatives, satisfying the ascetics, Brahmins, the poor, and the destitute. The company of five hundred merchants completely renounced in the Blessed One's teachings. Through diligence, practice, and effort, they realized that this wheel of samsara composed of the five aggregates is wavering and unstable, thus thoroughly understanding that the nature of all conditioned phenomena is decay, decline, dissipation, and destruction. They abandoned all afflictions, directly realized the state of Arhat, becoming Arhats free from desire in the three realms, regarding gold and dung as equal, possessing an equanimity of mind like the sky and the palm of the hand, becoming as cool as if soaked in sandalwood. Their wisdom shattered the shell of ignorance, obtaining wisdom, supernormal powers, and individual self-realization, not coveting worldly gain, attachment, and reverence. They became objects of worship, reverence, and respect by the gods, including those with power and attendants.
