Having become endowed, through the prayer I made, I have now manifestly attained the state of an Arhat. Monks, thus, those actions that are definitely dark will also definitely have dark results. Those actions that are definitely white will also definitely have white results. Mixed actions will also have mixed results. Monks, therefore, one should abandon those actions that are definitely dark and mixed actions, and devote oneself solely to those actions that are definitely white. Monks, you should train yourselves in this way. After the Blessed One had spoken thus, those monks rejoiced and greatly praised what the Blessed One had said. The story of "Rabsdukma" (Extremely Beloved Girl) is as follows: The Buddha, the Blessed One, was honored, respected, revered, and worshipped by kings, great ministers, wealthy people, people of the palace retinue, merchants, ship captains, gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas. Because the Buddha, the Blessed One, was worshipped and known by gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, he possessed great merit and obtained robes, food, bedding, seats, medicine, and medical supplies. Accompanied by a community of Shravakas, he resided in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove of Prince Jeta, in the pleasure garden of Anathapindika. At that time, the wife of Anathapindika became pregnant. When she was eight or nine months pregnant, she gave birth to a daughter who was beautiful, pleasing to behold, lovely, and possessed all her limbs and features. In the hearts of the people living in Shravasti, she was extremely beloved. Then, after holding a birth celebration for her, they began to name the girl, saying, "What should this girl be named?" The relatives said, "This girl is beloved in the hearts of all people, therefore, this girl's name should be Rabsdukma (Extremely Beloved Girl)."

O, thus it is said. Remembering her past lives, as soon as she was born, she spoke the verses: "Whatever the amount of generosity given, the difference in the field will increase from the base. Therefore, the wise should strive in the world, with faith, to give to the gods, humans, the powerful, and the Buddhas." After that, her parents and others living in that house, hearing those words, became frightened and alarmed, and became unhappy, and called her 'blood-drinker,' saying, 'Alas, this girl is a flesh-eating woman.' She said, 'Mother, I am not a flesh-eating woman, nor a Rakshasa woman. I am a girl, please give alms, give alms.' After that, her mother said to the householder Anathapindika, 'This girl says this.' Thus it was said. After that, the householder was happy and content, and very happy, and invited the Blessed One and the Sangha of monks into the house for a meal. Therefore, the lineage of generosity was established. After that, when that girl gradually grew to be seven years old, she asked her parents to renounce in the teachings of the Blessed One. She was kind, poor, lovely, and pleasing to all the nuns. Once, there was a great famine similar to the famine in the middle of a kalpa, and hundreds of thousands of beings died there without food and drink. After that, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ananda, 'Ananda, go and tell Rabtu Dukma to offer clothes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies to the four assemblies for three months.' After that, the Venerable Ananda went to Rabtu Dukma and said, 'The Blessed One said that you should offer clothes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies to the four assemblies for three months.' After that, Rabtu Dukma folded her hands and accepted the Blessed One's command with the top of her head, saying, 'According to the command.' After that, Rabtu Dukma set out for Shravasti to see the villages of enjoyment. After that, after a while, the householder Anathapindika heard the news and very quickly went to Rabtu Dukma.

Then he said, "Radama, where are you going?" He replied, "The Blessed One has instructed me to work as an attendant for three months." Anathapindika of Magadha said, "I will do all of that for you; you do not need to do it." Radama said, "If you, father, are one who sees the truth and can directly see all the treasures hidden under the earth, then what is so amazing about this offering? However, I am doing the work of an attendant in order to benefit the poor." Similarly, five hundred laywomen, the nun Utpalavarna, the royal daughter Yartshulma, the leader of the nuns' assembly, Drangsong Jin, the mother of the ancient people and the hunter, Saga, and King Selgyal, also dissuaded him, saying, "You do not need to do it." Then he went to a cave in the forest, where even non-humans with human forms dissuaded him. Even after being dissuaded in this way, he still served the Blessed One and the Sangha of Hearers for three months with robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies. During those three months, through diligence, practice, and effort, he realized that this wheel of the five-eyed cycle of existence was shaking and unstable. He thoroughly understood that all conditioned phenomena are of the nature of decay, falling, scattering, and destruction. Having abandoned all defilements, he directly realized the state of an Arhat. Having become an Arhat, free from desire for the three realms, possessing a mind that equates gold and tiles, similar to the sky and the palm of the hand, cooled like sandalwood soaked in water, having shattered the shell of the egg with wisdom, having attained wisdom, supernormal powers, and individual self-awareness, not looking to worldly gain, attachment, and respect, he became an object of worship, remembrance, and reverence by the gods, including the gods with power and their attendants. Then, after the Blessed One had passed three months, he made robes, finished making robes, put on the robes, carried the bowl, and together with the Sangha of Hearers, went from Shravasti to the king.
