དེད་དཔོན་རྣམས་དང་། ལྷ་རྣམས་དང་། ཀླུ་རྣམས་དང་། གནོད་སྦྱིན་རྣམས་དང་། ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་རྣམས་དང་། ནམ་མཁའ་ལྡིང་རྣམས་དང་། མི་འམ་ཅི་རྣམས་དང་། ལྟོ་འཕྱེ་ཆེན་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཀུར་སྟི་བྱས། བླ་མར་བྱས། རི་མོར་བྱས། མཆོད་པ་བྱས་ཏེ། ལྷ་དང་། ཀླུ་དང་། གནོད་སྦྱིན་དང་། ལྷ་མ་ཡིན་དང་། ནམ་མཁའ་ལྡིང་དང་། མི་འམ་ཅི་དང་། ལྟོ་འཕྱེ་ཆེན་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཆོད་ཅིང་ཤེས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་བསོད་ནམས་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ལྡན་པ། ན་བཟའ་དང་། ཞལ་ཟས་དང་། གཟིམས་ཆ་དང་། གདན་དང་། སྙུན་གསོས་དང་། སྨན་ཟོང་རྣམས་བརྙེས་པ། ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་པ། ཀོ་ས་ལའི་ལྗོངས་རྒྱུ་ཞིང་གཤེགས་པ་ལས་ནགས་ཁྲོད་ཅིག་ཏུ་བྱོན་པ་དང་། ནགས་ཁྲོད་དེ་ན་མ་ཧེའི་ཁྱུ་ཆེན་པོ་དང་མ་ཧེ་རྫི་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་འཁོད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་རེ་ཞིག་ན་དེའི་ནང་ན་མ་ཧེ་སྟོབས་དང་ལྡན་ཞིང་སྟོབས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཞིག་ཡོད་དེ། དེ་མི་གཞན་དག་གི་དྲི་ཚོར་ན་ཕྱི་བཞིན་རྒྱུག་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱང་ཕྱོགས་དེར་གཤེགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་མ་ཧེ་རྫི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་པ་ཐག་རིང་པོ་ཞིག་ནས་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་དེ་དག་གིས་སྐད་ཆེར་བོས་ཏེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་འདི་ན་མ་ཧེ་མ་རུངས་པ་མཆིས་ཀྱིས། ཤུལ་འདིར་མི་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ་ཞེས་བྱས་སོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ཀྱེ་ངས་འདིར་དུས་ལ་བབ་པར་ཤེས་ ཀྱིས་ཁྱེད་སྙིང་མ་ཆུང་ཤིག །དེ་ནས་མ་ཧེ་དེས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཐག་རིང་མོ་ཞིག་ནས་མཐོང་བ་དང་རྔ་མ་ལྡང་དུ་གཟར་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་བརྒྱུགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལོགས་སུ་སེང་གེ་རལ་པ་ཅན་རལ་པ་གཡེངས་པ་ལྔ་སྤྲུལ་ཏེ། གློ་གཡས་གཡོན་དུ་མི་ཆེན་པོ་ལྔ་སྤྲུལ་ཏོ། །སྟེང་དུ་ནི་ལྕགས་ཀྱི་ཕ་བོང་ཆེན་པོ་ཞིག་སྤྲུལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་མ་ཧེ་དེས་ཕྱོགས་ཀུན་ཏུ་འཇིགས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་མཐོང་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་སྟེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་ལ་ལྕེས་བལྡགས་ནས་ཞུམ་པའི་བཞིན་གྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་བལྟས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལ། དེས་བརྡ་ཕྲད་པའི་སྐད་དུ་བཞིན་བཟངས་འདི་ལྟར་འདུ་བྱེད་ཐམས་ཅད་ནི་མི་རྟག་པའོ། །ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ནི་བདག་མེད་པའོ། །མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་ནི་ཞི་བའོ་ཞེས་ཆོས་ཚིག་གསུམ་བསྟན་ནས། ཚེ་རབས་ཀྱང་དྲན་པར་མཛད་དེ་དེ་ཐོས་ནས་ངུས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དེའི་ཚེ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་དེ་བ

The leaders and, the gods and, the nagas and, the yakshas and, the asuras and, the garudas and, the kinnaras and, the mahoragas were respectful, revered, painted, and offered to. The Buddha, the Blessed One, endowed with great merit, who was worshiped and known by the gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, obtained robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medicinal supplies. Accompanied by a sangha of shravakas, while traveling in the country of Kosala, he went to a forest, and in that forest lived a large herd of buffaloes and five hundred buffalo herders. After a while, there was a buffalo among them that was very strong and possessed the greatest strength. When it smelled the scent of other people, it would run away. The Blessed One also went in that direction. Then the buffalo herders saw the Blessed One, accompanied by a sangha of shravakas, from a distance. Then they called out loudly, "Blessed One, there is a fierce buffalo here, please do not come this way." The Blessed One said, "I know that the time is right here, do not be afraid." Then that buffalo saw the Blessed One from a distance, raised its tail, and ran towards the Blessed One. Then, in front of the Blessed One, five lions with flowing manes manifested, and on the left and right, five great men manifested. Above, a large iron boulder manifested. Then that buffalo saw great terror in all directions, and went to the feet of the Blessed One, licked the feet of the Blessed One with its tongue, and looked at the Blessed One with a dejected expression. Then the Blessed One said to it, speaking in a language it could understand: "Well done, all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all dharmas are without self, nirvana is peace." He taught it these three phrases of the Dharma, and caused it to remember its past lives, and after hearing these, it wept. Then the Blessed One at that time spoke in verse:

He said: You have been born as an animal, what can I do now? You have already been born in a place of no leisure, what is the use of crying in vain? Here is the compassionate Victorious One, generate faith in me, it is good to abandon the birth place of animals, however, you will go to the higher realms. Then, that fierce buffalo despised its own body and began to chew. Those beings born in the animal realm died quickly due to the heat of the fire, and were born in the good heaven of the Thirty-Three. When a son or daughter of the gods is born, before long, by nature, three thoughts arise: From where did I die and where was I born? By what karma was I born? Then, he saw that he had died from the animal realm, was born in the good heaven of the Thirty-Three, and his mind was delighted with the Blessed One. Then, the son of the gods who had previously been a buffalo thought to himself: It is not my way to go to see the Blessed One after I have bathed, I should go to see the Blessed One before I have bathed. Then, the son of the gods who had previously been a buffalo, with swaying earrings, his body adorned with necklaces and belts, wearing a crown adorned with various jewels, his body smeared with saffron, tamarala leaves, and kara and other spices, that very night, filled the containers with heavenly udumbara flowers, lotuses, water lilies, white lotuses, and mandarava flowers, illuminating all those forests with great light, scattering flowers to the Blessed One, and sat before the Blessed One to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Blessed One understood the thoughts, habits, dispositions, and nature of the son of the gods who had previously been a buffalo, and taught the Dharma in such a way that he would realize the Four Noble Truths. After hearing this, the son of the gods who had previously been a buffalo destroyed the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates with the vajra of wisdom, and attained the fruit of stream-entry. Having seen the truth, he spoke three times with joyful words: Venerable Blessed One, you have dried up my ocean of blood and tears, and piled up my mountain of bones.
