From then on, she used the stupa of hair and nails as a fly whisk, and lit a row of lamps. After that, after a while, King Ajatashatru appeared on the top of the building, and seeing that great light, asked, "What is this?" After a while, another person said, "It is the glorious goddess lighting a row of lamps on the stupa of hair and nails." After that, she was summoned and asked, "Why did you break the king's command?" She replied, "I did break your command, but I did not break the command of the righteous King Rupavan (Gzugs can snying po)." Then, he got angry and threw the wheel and killed her. After that, she became happy with the Bhagavan and died and was born in the good heaven of the Thirty-three (Sum cu rtsa gsum pa). At that time, a goddess also gathered, and the goddess Glorious Maiden, with a halo of light, shining all around for one yojana, went into the assembly of the gods. After that, the lord of the gods, Indra, seeing that great light and the light of the gods, one yojana, asked, "Why is the color of your body like pure gold, like a lotus and an utpala flower? Here, the splendor of your body is unparalleled, where did these lights emanating from your body come from? Why is the color of your face like a blooming lotus, like golden color? By what deeds have you experienced the fruit, goddess, please tell me." The goddess replied, "I have seen the protector of the three worlds, the only lamp of beings, the Buddha who is rich in excellent qualities. To the one who dispels the darkness of the afflictions of the king of speech, I offered a lamp to dispel the darkness. Seeing the light that is like the color of moonlight, I developed faith in the Sage from my heart. Having become happy after seeing the light, I also prostrated to the teacher, the best of speakers. Because I did such virtuous deeds, I appear especially beautiful, my face is like a lotus and the moon, pure, bright, and pleasing to the eye." Indra said, "How wonderful! The field of qualities itself, completely abandoning all faults, in order to be born in a beautiful heaven, you have sown such a seed! Beautiful-faced one, with eyes like the wide petals of a lotus, the best of all women!"

是于何者作恭敬耶？ 佛陀具有如莲花盛开之广阔花瓣般的眼睛，对于如黄金堆积般光彩洁白者，谁不供养呢？ 天子或天女出生后不久，自然会生起三种心念：从何处死殁？生于何处？由何业而生？ 之后，她见到从人道死殁，生于三十三天之善妙天界，且对薄伽梵心生欢喜。 之后，天女具吉祥者心想：我待成熟之后才去瞻仰薄伽梵，这不适合我。我应在未成熟之前就去瞻仰薄伽梵。 之后，天女具吉祥者，充满天界光芒，于当晚以天界的乌巴拉花、莲花、睡莲、白莲花和曼陀罗花装满花篮，并将王舍城（Rājagṛha，今比哈尔邦的拉杰吉尔）所有迦兰陀迦（Kalandaka）居住之处照亮，向薄伽梵散花，为了听法而坐在薄伽梵面前。 之后，薄伽梵了解天女具吉祥者的心念、习气、根性和自性，为她宣说了能够证悟四圣谛之法。听闻后，天女具吉祥者以智慧金刚摧毁了二十座高耸的“有身见”之山峰，获得了预流果。她见到真谛后，欢喜地说了三遍感叹之语： 尊者薄伽梵您使我的血泪之海干涸， 超越了骨山， 封闭了恶趣之门， 开启了通往善趣和解脱之门， 将我置于天人和人类之中， 如此之恩，父母未曾施予， 国王未曾施予， 诸天未曾施予， 亲友眷属未曾施予， 先前的同修未曾施予， 沙门和婆罗门也未曾施予。 又说： 充满众多过患的恶趣道， 极其难忍，您以神力断绝。 开启了充满福德的善趣之路， 悲伤

To whom is reverence paid? Who does not make offerings to the Buddha, who has eyes like the wide petals of a blooming lotus, and whose radiance is white like a heap of the finest gold? When a son or daughter of the gods is born and not long after, by nature three thoughts arise: From where did I die and transmigrate? Where was I born? By what karma was I born? Then, she saw that she had died from the human realm and was born in the excellent heaven of the Thirty-three, and that her mind was delighted with the Bhagavan. Then, the goddess Śrīmā thought to herself: It is not fitting for me to go to behold the Bhagavan only after I have matured. I should go to behold the Bhagavan before I have matured. Then, the goddess Śrīmā, filled with the light of the gods, on that very night filled a basket with divine utpala flowers, lotuses, kumuda lilies, white lotuses, and mandarava flowers, and illuminated all the places where the Kalandaka birds dwelt in Rājagṛha (present-day Rajgir in Bihar), and scattered flowers upon the Bhagavan, and sat before the Bhagavan in order to hear the Dharma. Then, the Bhagavan, understanding the thoughts, predispositions, faculties, and nature of the goddess Śrīmā, taught her the Dharma in such a way that she realized the Four Noble Truths. Having heard this, the goddess Śrīmā, with the vajra of wisdom, shattered the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates, and attained the fruit of stream-entry. Having seen the truth, she spoke three times words of joy: Venerable Bhagavan, you have dried up my ocean of blood and tears, you have crossed the mountain of bones, you have closed the doors of the bad destinies, you have opened the doors to higher realms and liberation, and you have placed me among gods and humans. Such kindness has not been done for me by my father, nor by my mother, nor by the king, nor by the gods, nor by the assembly of relatives and friends, nor by former companions, nor by śramaṇas and brahmins. She also said: The path of the bad destinies, full of many faults, extremely unbearable, you have cut off with your power. You have opened the path to the higher realms, full of merit, sorrow
