心想，他的福德一定会让他证得菩提，如果他不灰心，为什么不能把这个大海弄干呢？当时，遍入天等众神从远处看到菩萨独自一人身心合一地舀着海水，为了众多众生的利益而努力，他们也心想，应该帮助菩萨。于是，他们互相商量，全部来到菩萨面前，看到菩萨用器皿舀水，众神都脱下各自的神衣，浸入水中，一次取出，海里的水就减少了四十由旬。再次浸入，就减少了八十由旬。第三次浸入，就减少了一百二十由旬。龙族们感到恐惧，来到菩萨面前，说道：请停止吧，不要把海水弄干了！菩萨就停止了。之后，龙族们问菩萨：你需要这颗如意宝珠做什么？菩萨说：我需要它来利益众生。龙族说：如果需要利益众生，海里也有很多众生，为什么要夺取呢？菩萨说：住在海里的众生，虽然也是众生，但他们没有贫困的痛苦。赡部洲的众生为了财物，互相残害，互相伤害，造作十不善业，寿命终结后都堕入地狱。我就是因为怜悯他们，才需要这颗宝珠。龙族们取出如意宝珠，又还给了菩萨。海神看到菩萨如此精进坚定，心想：这个人一定会证得菩提。心想，什么时候他证得菩提，我也要成为他的最佳近侍。于是发愿。之后，菩萨重新得到宝珠，飞向天空，回到原来的地方，问道：之前的商人们还在吗？都平安了吗？商人们也都平安地离开了，

Thinking, 'His merit will surely lead him to attain enlightenment. If he doesn't lose heart, why can't he dry up this ocean?' At that time, the gods such as Vishnu, seeing from afar the Bodhisattva alone, united in body and mind, drawing water from the ocean and striving for the benefit of many beings, thought, 'We should also assist the Bodhisattva.' So, they conferred with each other and all came to the Bodhisattva's presence. Seeing the Bodhisattva drawing water with a vessel, all the gods took off their respective divine garments and dipped them into the water. Once they pulled them out, the ocean's water decreased by forty yojanas. Dipping them in again, it decreased by eighty yojanas. Dipping them in a third time, it decreased by one hundred and twenty yojanas. The nagas, terrified, came to the Bodhisattva and said, 'Please stop, don't dry up the ocean!' The Bodhisattva stopped. Then, the nagas asked the Bodhisattva, 'What do you need this wish-fulfilling jewel for?' The Bodhisattva said, 'I need it to benefit sentient beings.' The nagas said, 'If you need to benefit sentient beings, there are many sentient beings in the ocean as well, why do you take it?' The Bodhisattva said, 'The beings who dwell in the ocean, although they are also sentient beings, they do not have the suffering of poverty. The sentient beings of Jambudvipa harm and injure each other for the sake of wealth, committing the ten non-virtuous deeds, and after their lives end, they are all born in the hells. It is because I have compassion for them that I need this jewel.' The nagas took out the wish-fulfilling jewel and returned it to the Bodhisattva. The ocean god, seeing the Bodhisattva's diligence and steadfastness, thought, 'This one will surely attain enlightenment.' Thinking, 'When he attains enlightenment, may I also become his best attendant.' So he made a vow. After that, the Bodhisattva regained the jewel, flew into the sky, and returned to his place, asking, 'Are the previous merchants still here? Did they depart safely?' 他们彼此相爱，朋友们都觉得惊奇。之后，他们去了婆罗门卡毗利的家，听到菩萨从海里回来了，大家都到门口迎接，非常高兴，和商人朋友们一起举行了盛大的宴会。当时，菩萨拿着珍宝回到家，那个婆罗门的仓库都装满了。之后，婆罗门卡毗利用各种珍宝装饰女儿，并送上珍宝水器，洗了菩萨的身体和脚。他拉着女儿的手，交给了菩萨。菩萨也接受了，婆罗门非常高兴。他还用珍宝装饰了五百名女仆和五百头大象，演奏音乐，送给菩萨。那时，大施主的父母因为失去了儿子，总是哭泣，父母的眼睛都瞎了。儿子从海里回来，和父母相见。 儿子向父母顶礼，他们拉着他的手，认出是自己的儿子。大施主啊，你离开我们之后，我们的眼睛都瞎了。你去海里都得到了什么？他问。大施主把珍宝递到父亲的手里，说：我得到了这个。父母拿在手里，拿着，说：这样的石头我的仓库里以前就有很多，何必这样受苦和祈求呢？之后，菩萨把珍宝拿回来，仅仅擦拭父母的眼睛，就像狂风吹散云朵一样，父母的眼睛比以前更明亮了。之后，父母都很高兴，仔细地看着那珍宝，说：这确实是珍宝，消除了痛苦。之后，大施主拿着珍宝，说：如果你真是如意珍宝，就让七宝的座位出现在我的父母脚下，并用珍宝的华盖覆盖上方。他刚一祈愿，就如愿以偿了，国王的仓库也都满了。

Then, the Brahmin Kapili adorned his daughter with various jewels and sent a jewel water vessel, washed the Bodhisattva's body and feet. He took his daughter's hand and gave it to the Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva also accepted, and the Brahmin was very happy. He also adorned five hundred maidservants and five hundred elephants with jewels, played music, and sent them to the Bodhisattva. At that time, the parents of the great benefactor, because they had lost their son, were always crying, and both parents' eyes were blinded. When the son returned from the sea and met his parents, The son prostrated to his parents, and they took his hand and recognized him as their son. Great benefactor, after you left us, our eyes were blinded. What did you gain by going to the sea? he asked. The great benefactor handed the jewel to his father's hand and said: I got this. The parents took it in their hands, held it, and said: I already have many such stones in my storehouse, why suffer and pray like this? Then, the Bodhisattva took back the jewel, and just by wiping his parents' eyes, like a strong wind blowing away the clouds, both parents' eyes became clearer than before. Then, both parents were happy, carefully looking at the jewel, and said: This is indeed a jewel, eliminating suffering. Then, the great benefactor took the jewel and said: If you are truly a wish-fulfilling jewel, may a seat of seven treasures appear under my parents' feet, and may a canopy of jewels cover the top. As soon as he prayed, it was fulfilled, and all the king's storehouses were filled.

Then the king sent a messenger who could travel a hundred thousand kotis of leagues, announcing to all the people of Jambudvipa: The great benefactor has found a wish-fulfilling jewel from the ocean. This virtuous jewel, starting from now, within seven days, will rain down jewels, clothes, food, and all kinds of necessary items like rain. Please everyone take whatever you need at your convenience. After such a widespread announcement, the great benefactor bathed, put on new clothes, and together erected a victory banner on the Gala plain. He tied the wish-fulfilling jewel to the top of the victory banner, held a vase in his hand, and made this aspiration: The people of Jambudvipa are all impoverished. To benefit them, O wish-fulfilling jewel, if you are not false, please rain down everything that each person needs like rain! As soon as he spoke, black winds arose from the four directions, immediately sweeping away all impure things. A light rain fell, and under the condition that no dust was raised, first, various foods and drinks with a hundred flavors rained down. Then, grains rained down. Then, clothes rained down. Then, jewels rained down. Jambudvipa was filled with piles of jewels, and the jewels were like rubble and pebbles. After the Bodhisattva had thus completely satisfied everyone's needs, he announced to the people of Jambudvipa: The beings of Jambudvipa kill each other for clothes, food, and wealth, and torment each other in various ways, only creating evil and unwholesome deeds. After their lives end, they fall into the three lower realms, going from darkness to darkness. Out of compassion for them, I overcame the obstacles of the ocean and many afflictions. To make you happy, I took these jewels from the ocean. Now, all of you, do not be greedy, and be happy. You should all restrain your body, speech, and mind in the path of the ten virtuous actions, and strive to do good!
