Before they had gone far, he said to his two elder brothers, "You two brothers go ahead, I have something to take care of, I will follow later." Saying this, he went along that road, quickly arriving at the place where the tigress's den was, and lay down next to the tigress. The tigress opened her mouth but could not eat. At that time, the prince used a sharp wooden splinter to cut open his body, letting out blood, and allowed the tigress to lick it. The tigress opened her mouth and ate all the flesh of his body. The two elder brothers looked and, as he had not returned for a long time, went back to search for him. Based on what he had said before, they guessed that he must have been killed by the hungry tigress. Thinking this, they went there and saw that their youngest brother had been eaten by the tiger, his whole body covered in flesh and blood, like a pile of garbage. They fell to the ground and fainted. 传说中听到，鸽子是儿子的魂灵。鸽子窝里的小鸟被老鹰抓走时，（他们想）我的儿子们肯定会遭遇不幸，于是立刻派人四处寻找。没过多久，两位王子回来了，问道：儿子们没什么事吧？怎么了？两位哥哥哽咽着说不出话，很久都没缓过气来，说不出话。在那之后，缓过气来说道：被老虎吃了。女神听到这话，昏了过去，倒在地上很久。缓过气后，带着两个儿子、王妃和宫殿的侍从，迅速赶往王子转世的地方。当时，母老虎已经把王子的肉吃光了，只剩下骨头和血，像垃圾一样散落在地上。王妃抱着头，国王抱着手，哭天抢地，在那里又昏了过去很久，才醒过来。王子大心众生在那里去世后，转生到了兜率天。他心想：我为什么，做了什么才转生到这里？于是用天眼观察五蕴，看到自己转世后的骨骸在树林里，父母围绕着它，非常伤心，因悲伤的刺痛而痛苦，哭天抢地。天神心想：我的父母因如此不悦，如果因此生病，甚至危及生命，我应该让他们高兴，去和他们说话。于是从天空降临，从上方的天空中发出各种美妙的声音，让父母高兴。父母抬头看着天空，问道：神啊，您是谁？请告诉我。天神说道：我就是王子大心众生，因为我把身体布施给饥饿的母老虎，所以转生到了兜率天的神界。伟大的国王，请您这样理解。任何有为之法，最终都会毁灭。有生必有灭。作恶者将堕入地狱。行善者将转生到天界。既然生与灭是普遍规律，又何必（如此悲伤）？

Before long, the two princes returned and asked: Are the sons alright? What happened? The two elder brothers choked with sobs and couldn't speak for a long time. After that, they regained their breath and said: They were eaten by a tiger. When the goddess heard this, she fainted and fell to the ground for a long time. After regaining her breath, she took her two sons, the queen, and the palace attendants and quickly went to the place where the prince had been reborn. At that time, the tigress had already eaten all the prince's flesh, leaving only bones and blood scattered on the ground like garbage. The queen held her head, and the king held his hands, wailing and crying, and fainted there again for a long time before waking up. Prince Mahasattva, after passing away there, was reborn in the Tushita Heaven. He thought: Why me, what did I do to be reborn here? So he observed the five aggregates with his divine eye and saw that the bones of his rebirth were in the forest, surrounded by his parents, who were very sad, suffering from the pain of grief, wailing and crying. The deity thought: My parents are so unhappy, if they get sick because of this, or even endanger their lives, I should make them happy and go talk to them. So he descended from the sky, and from the sky above, he emitted all kinds of beautiful sounds to make his parents happy. The parents looked up at the sky and asked: God, who are you? Please tell me. The deity said: I am Prince Mahasattva, because I gave my body to the hungry tigress, I was reborn in the heavenly realm of Tushita. Great king, please understand this. Any conditioned phenomena will eventually be destroyed. Where there is birth, there is surely destruction. Those who do evil will fall into hell. Those who do good will be reborn in heaven. Since birth and death are universal laws, why (be so sad)?
