那个人什么也没说。蛇生气了，放出毒气，又这样想：这个人有什么错呢？别人问了三次，他也不回答。于是又生气，放出毒气，又挡了回去，又这样想：如果这个人为了我而行善，如果他能记住报恩，就不会放出毒气了。这个人如果做了对我有益的事，即使犯了什么错，也应该原谅。说完，就走到寂静的地方，说：暂时放在地上吧。蛇这样责备那个人，说：现在我后悔并忏悔我的罪过。说完，又把他背了起来，走到僧团的地方。僧团也到了黄昏的时候，那个人把花献给僧团，蛇也以虔诚的心情看着献花。之后，僧团做了吃饭的事，洗了手脚，然后给蛇说法。蛇非常高兴，把六个金瓶也献给了僧团，行了善事，然后就去世了。去世之后，以那善业之力，转生到三十三天。阿难，那时背着毒蛇的人就是我。那条毒蛇就是舍利子。过去世也因为背着蛇，被蛇责骂。因为对他感到惭愧，所以现在也对僧众感到惭愧。阿难等听了佛陀所说，都信受奉行，非常欢喜。金瓶品第二十八完毕。 第二十九品，婆罗门女安乐品。 如是我闻。一时，世尊住在王舍城迦兰陀竹园，与无数比丘在一起。当时，那个地方有一个非常贫穷的婆罗门，什么也没有。婆罗门因为太贫穷了，就问大家：我该怎么做，才能在这一生中拥有财富呢？有人对他说：难道你不知道吗？名叫佛陀世尊的人，现在已经来到世间，正在做利益一切众生的事情。他的近处

Even if this man does something wrong while doing something beneficial for me, I should forgive him. Having said that, he went to a secluded place and said, "Put me down on the ground for a moment." The snake reproached the man, saying, "Now I regret and confess my sins." Having said that, he carried him again and went to the place of the Sangha. The Sangha had also reached the time of evening. The man offered flowers to the Sangha, and the snake watched the offering of flowers with a faithful heart. After that, the Sangha did the work of eating, washed their hands and feet, and then taught the Dharma to the snake. The snake was very happy and offered six golden vases to the Sangha. He did good deeds and then passed away. After passing away, by the power of that merit, he was born as a god in the Thirty-Three Heavens. Ananda, at that time, the man who carried the venomous snake was me. That venomous snake was Shariputra. In the past, also because he carried a snake, he was scolded by the snake. Because he felt ashamed of him, he is now also ashamed of the Sangha. Ananda and others, having heard what the Buddha said, accepted it with joy and were exceedingly delighted. 还有大迦叶、阿难陀、舍利子和无障碍等四位圣者，也经常做利益贫困的事情。如果你们以虔诚之心用食物供养这些圣者，他们就会使你们今生拥有想要的一切。”说完之后，婆罗门听了那个人说的话，非常高兴，到处游走乞讨，或者靠做工赚取一点钱财，然后回到家中准备食物，迎请圣者僧团，供养食物，希望对今世有所利益。当时，那位婆罗门的妻子名叫善护，她供养僧团食物后，受持了一日戒律。当时，国王光明王外出巡视，在返回的路上，看到一个犯了罪的囚犯被绑在路边的一棵树上。囚犯看到国王经过，哭着乞讨食物，国王也说会施舍，然后返回王宫。因为忘记了，到了那天晚上半夜的时候，才想起要给囚犯送食物。于是准备送食物，但是王宫里没有一个人敢去，因为半夜送食物，路上有鬼怪和罗刹的恐怖，没有人愿意冒着生命危险前去。当时，国王想起了那个人的痛苦和饥饿，非常怜悯他，于是宣布：“如果有人能从我的国家给那个囚犯送食物，我就赏赐一千金币。”但是没有人敢去。当时，婆罗门的妻子善护听到了这个消息，心想：“无论是什么世间人，只要受持了一日八关斋戒，就不会被鬼怪等所侵扰，所有的鬼怪都不能加害。”于是她想：“我应该去国王派去的地方。”然后就去了。之后，国王对善护说：“你拿着这些食物，给某地的一个囚犯送去，我会赏赐你一千金币。”于是善护按照国王的命令，拿着食物，忆念着戒律，踏上了路途，一直走啊走。

He wandered around begging, or earned a little money by working, and then returned home to prepare food, invited the noble Sangha, offered food, hoping to benefit this life. At that time, the wife of that Brahmin, named Good Protector, offered food to the Sangha and then took the one-day precepts. At that time, King Bright King went out on patrol, and on the way back, he saw a prisoner who had committed a crime tied to a tree on the side of the road. The prisoner saw the king passing by, cried and begged for food, and the king also said he would give alms, and then returned to the palace. Because he forgot, it was not until midnight that night that he remembered to send food to the prisoner. So he prepared to send food, but no one in the palace dared to go, because sending food in the middle of the night, there were terrors of ghosts and rakshasas on the road, and no one was willing to risk their lives to go. At that time, the king remembered that person's suffering and hunger, and felt very compassionate towards him, so he announced, “If anyone can send food to that prisoner from my country, I will reward them with a thousand gold coins.” But no one dared to go. At that time, the Brahmin's wife, Good Protector, heard this news and thought, “No matter what worldly person, as long as they take the eight one-day precepts, they will not be disturbed by ghosts and the like, and all ghosts cannot harm them.” So she thought, “I should go to the place where the king sent me.” Then she went. After that, the king said to Good Protector, “You take these foods and give them to a prisoner in a certain place, and I will reward you with a thousand gold coins.” So Good Protector, according to the king's order, took the food, remembering the precepts, and embarked on the road, walking and walking.
