Lhasamai's son got angry and, while riding an elephant, threw the minister's son, along with his chariot, under the bridge. The minister's son, injured in body and limbs, cried and returned home, saying to his parents, "Lhasamai's son harmed me for no reason, and my whole body is injured." The minister was very unhappy and thought, "Those boys are very strong and close to the king, so it is difficult to argue with them. However, I must play a trick on them." So he made thirty-two canes out of the seven precious substances, and put a sharp sword inside each cane. He gave one to each of the thirty-two young men and instructed them, "You are young and it is time to play. I have made these canes for you to play with. Take them and play." The young men were very happy and took the canes, each taking one. According to the king's law, it is not allowed to carry weapons when meeting the king. They took the canes and went to the king's attendants, and the minister slandered the king, saying, "These thirty-two sons of Lhasamai are young and strong. One person can withstand a thousand people, and they intend to harm the king." However, the king did not believe them, and the minister said again, "What I said before is true, and it is not false. These young men are holding canes in their hands, and there is a sword hidden in each one, so it is obvious that they intend to rebel." As the minister said, the king looked at the young men's canes and found that there were indeed weapons inside. So he ordered them to be seized and killed. The young men's heads were cut off, and the thirty-two heads were put in a box, sealed tightly, and sent to their mother. At that time, the young men's mother invited the Buddha and the Sangha. The king thought that the box contained offerings, so he opened the box.

Then, the Blessed One said, "For the time being, do not open the box. Eat something first, and then open it." After eating, the Blessed One taught the Dharma to the child's mother: "This body is impermanent, it is suffering, it is empty, it is without self, it is meaningless, it will not last long, it is bound by all kinds of defilements, it is full of flaws, it is tormented by suffering. Due to the sorrow of separation from desires, this body is wasted and useless. Any wise person will understand this truth." Having said this, the goddess also understood the truth and attained the fruit of non-retrogression. She was very happy, joined her palms, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, for the sake of your compassion for me, please grant these four requests of mine. My four requests are: first, to provide sick monks with the necessary medicine, food, and drink; second, to provide those who care for sick monks with the necessary food and drink; third, to provide visiting monks with supplies; and fourth, to provide monks going to distant places with provisions and supplies. Why do I say this? Because if sick monks do not have the necessary medicine, food, and drink, it will be difficult for them to recover, and even if they are sick, they may be in danger of their lives. Those who care for sick monks will also beg for food because they have no food. There is no time for begging, and if they are late or do not get what they want, the patient will get angry and it will be difficult to care for them, so food should also be provided for them. Monks who come from distant places are not familiar with this place and have no friends, so they beg. When they beg, if they are harassed by dogs or evil people, they will get angry and their patience will disappear, so food should also be provided for them. Even if monks going to distant places have companions, they will be separated from their companions because they have no provisions. There are many wild animals or fierce people on the road, and if they go alone, they may be in danger of their lives, so they should also be provided with the necessary items." At that time, after the Blessed One heard the goddess's four requests, he was very

He praised, saying, "Very good, very good! The great merit of these four that you have requested is no different from making offerings to the Buddha." After giving this teaching, together with the Sangha, he went again to Prince Jeta's Grove. After the Blessed One had passed away, he opened the box and looked, and saw that there were thirty-two sons' heads. Because he was free from desire, he was not displeased. He said, "Alas! A person is born and also has a lifespan that is exhausted, but it was not long ago! Now, in which of the five realms will he experience suffering?" The relatives of the mothers of the thirty-two boys, hearing that it had become like this, were very unhappy and became angry. They said, "The great king is like this, killing all that he likes, and will go to make war with armies and so on." After saying this, they gathered an army and surrounded the king's palace. At that time, the king was afraid and fled to where the Buddha was. When they heard this, they also surrounded Prince Jeta's Grove with an army. At that time, Ananda heard that King Prabhasa had killed the thirty-two sons of the goddess, and the relatives of the mothers had come seeking revenge. He knelt on the ground, put his palms together, and prayed to the Blessed One, saying, "Blessed One, for what reason, for what cause, did the king kill thirty-two people all at once?" The Blessed One told Ananda, "The thirty-two sons of the goddess, it is not just now that the king has killed them all at once. Why these thirty-two people died all at once, I will explain to you in detail. Listen well and keep it in mind." Ananda also replied, "Yes, I will listen." The Blessed One told Ananda, "In the past, these thirty-two people liked each other, were friends, and were of one mind. After they consulted, they stole someone else's cow. At that time, in that place, there was a poor old woman who had no sons. The cow thieves brought the cow to the old woman's house and killed it.
