Please become the owner of this house and all its possessions. I will be your maid, respecting and serving you. Do not go against this, please fulfill my wish." The novice monk thought, "What sinful deeds have I done to encounter such a situation? I would rather lose my body and life than break the precepts established by the Buddhas of the three times. In the past, some monks, even when they went to brothels, would rather jump into a pit of fire than break the precepts. There were also monks who were captured by savages, tied to the grass, blown by the wind, exposed to the sun, and eaten by many insects, but to protect the precepts, they would rather cut the grass than move. A crow stole a priceless jewel, and the monk saw it, but to protect the precepts, he would rather suffer than speak. After a ship sank, monks grabbed onto a plank of wood, but to protect the precepts, they gave the plank to a fellow monk of higher status, and they themselves drowned in the sea. Like them, just because they were near the Buddha and protected the precepts, shouldn't we have protected them? The Tathagata is also their teacher, isn't he our teacher? For example, if the champaka flower (梵文：campaka，梵文罗马拟音：campaka，藏文：ཙམ་པ་ཀའི་མེ་ཏོག，汉语字面意思：Golden Flower) is pressed together with sesame, the fragrance of the champaka flower will blend into the sesame oil, am I not like that too? If I am completely taken care of by a virtuous friend, why would I commit sinful and unwholesome deeds today? I would rather lose my body and life than ever break the precepts, and I will not defile the lineage of the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, parents, teachers, and lamas." He also thought, "If I run away, that girl, tormented by desire, will even lose her shame and embarrassment.

Wherever I am reborn, may I be ordained in the Buddha's teachings, practice pure conduct, exhaust all defilements, and attain fruition. After making this aspiration, he cut his own throat and ended his life. Blood covered his whole body, and his body turned red with blood. At that time, the girl thought: It's taking too long, so she went to the door and called, but there was no response. The girl opened the door and saw that he had already passed away. Because it did not go as she wished, her desire also subsided. The girl was very unhappy, tore her hair in pain, scratched her face with her nails, and rolled on the ground crying. The girl's parents returned from the banquet and knocked on the door and called, but the girl did not say a word. So they sent someone in to open the door, and seeing that the girl had become like that, they said to the girl: What's wrong with you? Did someone tease you and ruin your reputation? They asked her this. The girl did not say a word, but thought to herself: If I tell the truth, it would be a very shameful thing. If I say that the monk teased me, that would be slandering the noble one, and sentient beings would fall into hell and suffer much suffering. I should not deceive, but tell the truth. Thinking like this, I
