Alone guarding the house, the novice came to receive alms for the teacher. My lustful fire burned, the novice was elevated, and the precepts he had kept were broken. Unable to bear the change in his heart, the novice devised a way to enter the house and passed away within. My impure body has defiled the originally pure vessel and committed an unforgivable sin, I am displeased. So she spoke. The daughter's parents heard this and were amazed. Why was that? Because from the nature of universal affliction, they could also understand it in the same way. They said to the daughter, "All things are impermanent, do not grieve." After advising her thus, they entered the house and saw the novice's bones stained with blood like red sandalwood. They prostrated and praised, "For the sake of keeping the Buddha's precepts, it is good not to care for body and life." At that time, according to the king's law, if a monk passed away in a layman's house, a thousand gold coins had to be offered as a fine. At that time, the layman also took a thousand gold coins and went to the palace, and told the great king, "I have committed a crime, please accept these coins." The king said to him, "You in my country believe in the Three Jewels and admire the Dharma, and are naturally upright. If you are the only one whose conduct has fallen, then what crime have you committed?" The layman said, "My daughter slandered the novice and praised the novice's merit of keeping the precepts, and told the details of what happened." The king said, "The novice did not care for his body and life for the sake of keeping the precepts, you have no crime. Take the coins and go home. I will also go to your house to make offerings to that novice." After saying this, he struck the golden drum and gathered all the attendants to go to the layman's house. Then, the king went to the layman's house, saw the novice's bones stained with blood like red sandalwood, and prostrated, praising the virtues.

After praising, the ashes were placed on a chariot decorated with various jewels, and they went to a place where everyone could see the flat ground, and offerings were made by burning incense wood. That girl was a very beautiful girl, rare in the world, and that girl was placed in a high place where everyone could see, and all the many retinues were made to see her well, and she said to the people like this: Who would not be attracted to this girl who is so beautiful and very beautiful? This novice has not yet attained the fruit, and this body with birth, old age, sickness and death, for the sake of discipline, is able to give up his life, which is very rare. After proclaiming this, his teacher was also invited, and he was asked to preach the Dharma to the many retinues, and all those gathered in the retinue heard the Dharma, and some asked to be ordained and keep the precepts. Some aroused the supreme Bodhicitta, and all rejoiced and were very happy. The sixteenth chapter, the chapter on the novice keeping the precepts, is completed. Chapter Seventeen, the Chapter on the Masterless Householder. At that time, the Blessed One was in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove Anathapindika Garden, together with the great Bhikshu Sangha, preaching the Dharma. At that time, in that country there was a great householder, rich, with much wealth, possessing gold, silver, seven treasures, elephants, horses, cows, sheep, male servants, female servants, and many working people, and many storehouses. He had no sons, but only five daughters, all of whom were beautiful and intelligent. At that time, the wife of that householder was pregnant, and the householder passed away. At that time, according to the king's law, if there was no son, all the property would be taken by the king. The king also ordered a minister to count his property and possessions, and confiscate them all. Those daughters thought, our mother's womb is not comfortable, whether it is male or female, we do not know, son
