Having invited the Three Jewels to offer worship, a dwelling was prepared in one place and set up. Every day, various foods with a hundred flavors and fragrant aromas were prepared. In the morning, the servant girl was sent to deliver them on time. When the servant girl went to a secluded place, she ate the delicious foods and offered the leftovers to the monk. Later, a female devotee saw that the servant girl had a good complexion and had gained flesh. She asked the servant girl, "Did you not leave some of the food offered to the monk?" The servant girl replied, "Mistress, I also have a little faith. If it were not out of aversion, why would I leave the food offered to the monk? The monk seeks the leftovers that have not been eaten up. If I were to eat them, wherever I am born, may I eat my own flesh." Because of this cause, because of this reason, first experiencing this unpleasant result, then in the great hell of sentient beings, immeasurable suffering will be experienced. That monk asked, "Who is it that a large tree is being eaten by many insects, making a loud, unpleasant sound?" He replied, "That is the monk named Lita, who is the worker of the Sangha. He uses the property of the Sangha and gives flowers, fruits, and drinks to the householders. Having experienced this unpleasant result, immediately after his death, he was born in the great hell of sentient beings. Those insects that eat the tree are the people who received the monk's generosity." That monk again asked, "Who is it that a person is surrounded by many people, pierced by arrows, and his body is burning?" Daga replied, "A person who made a living by hunting and killed many wild animals experienced such suffering. Then, after his death, he was born in the great hell of sentient beings, and it is very difficult to be liberated from there." The monk again asked, "Who is it that is running and weeping on a great mountain with swords and weapons?" Daga replied, "It is a very brave minister of the king. He once ran on sharp weapons, swords, spears, and shaktis. Then, after his death, he will experience suffering for a long time in the great hell of sentient beings." That monk again

Request. Whose is that great mountain of bones? Da Gal said: If you want to know, those are the bones of your previous body. When the monk heard this, he was very frightened, his hair stood on end, and he also sweated. He said to the teacher: Before my heart breaks, please tell me the cause and condition of the previous karma. Da Gal said: The cycle of birth and death has no beginning and no end, and good and evil deeds will not disappear or cease to exist. Whatever deeds are done, their consequences will inevitably be experienced. In the past, in this Jambudvipa, there was a king named Dharma Victorious, who loved giving and keeping precepts, was fond of listening to the Dharma, had a very compassionate heart, was not violent by nature, did not kill sentient beings, had the title of king, and ruled the country with the sacred Dharma, and was about twenty years old. Once, he was playing dice with people, and because of a person's serious fault, the ministers reported: If someone commits a serious offense against the law, what should be done? The king, being focused on playing dice, ordered: Do according to the law. So, the ministers sentenced the man to death according to the law, and the man was executed. After the king finished playing dice, he asked the ministers: What punishment was given to the person who committed the crime? The ministers replied: We have executed him according to the law. When the king heard this, he fainted and fell to the ground. The ministers poured water on him to wake him up, and he wept and said: The decorations of the palace, the elephants, the horses, and the seven treasures, etc., all remain here, but only I will go to the hells of sentient beings to experience suffering. Even if I had not become king, there would still be a king ruling the country in this palace. Even if I die soon, there will still be a king ruling the country. Because I killed a person, I am a bad king, where will I go in all my lives? Now I don't want to be king anymore. Then

Using cunning means to guard the mountain, the king lived there. Later, the king passed away and was reborn as a Makara fish in the great ocean, with a huge body measuring seven hundred yojanas in length. Whether king or minister, if they use their power to kill living beings, or do things against their will, or do things that harm living beings, they will almost certainly be reborn as Makara fish after death, and many insects will live in its body. Because its body itches, it rubs and drags itself on the crystal mountain, and many insects are crushed to death, their blood turning the sea red, making it red for a hundred yojanas around. Because of these sinful karmas, they will fall into the great hell of beings after death. When that Makara fish falls asleep, it wakes up only once every hundred years, and it is tormented by hunger and thirst, opens its mouth, and goes to the seashore, just like a huge river flowing into the sea. At that time, about five hundred merchants entered the sea to search for treasures, and as a result, they encountered the Makara fish with its mouth open.
