As soon as I think about where to go, I will die and go to the extremely hot sentient being hell. Among them, whoever steals the lamp or precious object offered to the Buddha, or steals the lamp or wood of the Sangha, or demolishes the residence of the Sangha, or demolishes the lecture hall, or robs others of their clothes in the cold winter, or the powerful person deprives slaves, maids, or other people of their clothes in the cold wind and pours water on them, if they deprive and rob others of their clothes, then with this unforgivable sin, they will fall into the severe cold sentient being hell. That person is tormented by fever and always thinks of cool and cold places. Because he wants to be cold, as soon as he dies, he is born in that sentient being hell. The sentient being hells of Utpala, Lotus, Kumuda, and Pundarika are also the same. When suffering in the cold sentient being hell, the flesh of the body is shattered like boiling barley, and the head and bones are also shattered into hundreds and thousands of pieces. Any sentient being who is stingy, cuts off the livelihood of others, starves them, and does not give food on time will fall into the realm of hungry ghosts. That person cannot digest food and is attacked by the disease of vomiting. So the attendant or relatives prepare all kinds of food and diligently tell him: This is sweet, this is sour, this is delicious, this is easy to digest. If the patient feels nauseous and thinks, when will I not see these foods again? At the moment of his death, he will fall into the realm of hungry ghosts. Any sentient being who is foolish, ignorant, does not believe in the Three Jewels, and slanders the Noble Ones will be reborn as an animal. Moreover, when he is tormented by illness, he will hunch over and be unable to lie down. Even if he tries to lie down immediately, he cannot, and he does not like to hear good Dharma. The attendant also knows that he is not possessed by ghosts, but that his life is coming to an end. So the attendant persuades: You should listen to the Dharma, and you should also keep the precepts. You should also see the Buddha image and the Sangha, and you should also give alms to them. But he does not believe and does not like it. If he is persuaded again and again, he will angrily say: How good it would be if I became a person who could not hear the name of the Three Jewels and good Dharma! After saying that, he dies.

Immediately, they are reborn into the realm of animals. Among them, if one diligently engages in virtuous deeds that lead to rebirth as gods and humans, they will not be severely afflicted by illness. When their lifespan comes to an end, their mind will not be confused, and their caregivers and spiritual friends, knowing that they are about to die, will encourage them, saying: "Do you wish to hear the sacred Dharma? Do you wish to see an image of the Buddha? Do you wish to listen to sutras or verses from the monks? Do you delight in taking vows? Do you have faith in offering possessions to the Buddha and the Sangha?" If they are encouraged in this way and respond that they have faith in all of these, then furthermore, if they make offerings to an image of the Buddha, they will attain enlightenment. If they worship and offer possessions to the Dharma, then wherever they are reborn, they will possess wisdom and will comprehend and realize the nature of the Dharma. If they give offerings of material goods to the Sangha, then wherever they are reborn, they will be endowed with jewels and great wealth, just as they wish. After speaking to the sick person in this way, the sick person becomes very happy and content, and prays: "May I meet the Three Jewels in all my lives, hear the Dharma, and having heard it, may I also comprehend and realize it." Having prayed in this way, their lifespan comes to an end, and they are reborn as a human. If one extensively cultivates virtuous deeds that lead to rebirth as a god, such as generosity, pure morality, delight in listening to the Dharma, and practicing the ten virtuous actions, then when their lifespan comes to an end, they will lie down peacefully and see images of the Buddha, celestial palaces, and celestial maidens, and hear celestial music. Their complexion will be very radiant, and they will raise their hands. At that time, their lifespan will come to an end, and they will be reborn in the realm of the gods. At the householder's place, the sow's wife was attached to her own body. When her lifespan came to an end, immediately she was reborn as a snake in that woman's body again. When that snake's lifespan comes to an end, she will experience immeasurable suffering as a being in the great hells. That monk then asked the teacher: "Who is the woman who ate my flesh?" The son of Dagal said: "In Shravasti, there was a female lay follower who had a maidservant. That female lay follower offered to a monk who had pure morality. Summer month"
