The person who strained the dregs from the butter was Prince Stump. His wife was the wife of Stump himself. At that time, he spoke evil words to the Pratyekabuddha, saying, "Like a stump," and because he was angry, he did not give the dregs of the butter, which caused him to be extremely ugly in all his lives. Later, he repented and offered good butter, so in all his lives he became good and beautiful. Because he offered butter, in all his lives he possessed power and strength, and became invincible in all ways. By his merit, he became a Chakravartin king, ruling over the four continents and enjoying the five desires as he wished. The ripening of virtuous and non-virtuous actions will never cease. Therefore, we should diligently guard the actions of body, speech, and mind. The Blessed One spoke thus. King Embodied Heart and other kings, ministers, the four kinds of retinues, gods, nagas, and others heard this. Some attained the fruit of stream-entry, some attained the fruit of once-returner, non-returner, and Arhat. Some planted the roots of virtue of a Pratyekabuddha, and some generated the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi and remained on the irreversible ground. All the retinues were pleased with what the Blessed One had said and were overjoyed. The Thirteenth Chapter, Taming the Six Teachers (ends). Fourteenth, the chapter on giving the body by all the beasts. Fourth fascicle. Thus I have heard, at one time, the Blessed One was dwelling on Vulture Peak Mountain in Rajagriha. At that time, the Blessed One's body was afflicted with a cold disease, and the physician Jivaka mixed thirty-two kinds of medicines with butter, and each day he took thirty-two ounces of medicine. The wicked Devadatta generated a jealous mind and proclaimed himself equal to the Buddha. Hearing that the Blessed One was taking medicine, he desired medicine, and in order to become like the Buddha, he ordered the physician Jivaka to also prepare and give me the medicine that the Blessed One was taking. Then, Jivaka prepared the medicine and gave it to Devadatta, who took thirty-two ounces of medicine each day.

He ordered, "Give four and four ounces." Devadatta asked, "How many ounces does the Blessed One eat each day now?" Jivaka said, "The Blessed One now eats thirty-two and thirty-two ounces each day." Devadatta ordered, "Give me also thirty-two and thirty-two ounces each day." Jivaka said, "You are not the same as the body of the Tathagata. If you eat too much, you will not be able to digest it, and instead of nourishing your body, it will turn into illness." Devadatta said, "I have the heat to digest whatever I eat. What is the difference between me and the Buddha?" Having said that, he took thirty-two and thirty-two ounces of medicine in one day like the Buddha, but the medicine did not digest. It stuck in all the veins, and he became weak, uttering extremely painful cries. Then, the Blessed One, thinking with compassion, stretched out his hand from afar and stroked Devadatta's head, and immediately all the medicine digested, and he was freed from the suffering of the disease. Devadatta knew that it was the hand of the Blessed One, and then he said, "Prince Gautama also learned medicine in the skill of knowledge, like a skilled doctor, I do not like it." At that time, Ananda heard him say that and was very unhappy. He knelt on the ground and said to the Blessed One, "Devadatta is ungrateful. The Blessed One compassionately removed his illness, but he spoke unkind words with an unwholesome mind and always opposes the Blessed One." The Blessed One told Ananda, "Not only does Devadatta now generate an unwholesome mind towards me and think of harming me, but in the past he also generated evil thoughts towards me and tried to kill me." Ananda requested the Blessed One, "Please show how Devadatta acted in the past." The Blessed One said, "In the past, countless immeasurable kalpas ago, in this Jambudvipa, there was a place called "ཌ", and there was a king named Brahma-datta, who was wrathful, cruel, and without compassion, and desired pleasure.

He was very greedy and hateful, tormented by sinful deeds, and fond of killing. At that time, the king dreamed of a wild animal whose body hair was like gold. The tip of the hair emitted a golden light, and the wild animal appeared golden on both sides. He woke up immediately and thought: "What I saw in my dream must exist." He thought, "Let the hunters go and look for its skin!" Then he gathered the hunters and commanded them, saying: "In my dream, I dreamed of a golden wild animal whose hair emitted a golden light at the tip. Such a thing must exist in this place. You must search everywhere and skin it and offer it to me, and I will make your descendants happy and comfortable for seven generations. If you do not search diligently or are lazy and do not find it, I will exterminate you and your descendants!" Thus he commanded. Then the hunters were very unhappy and all gathered in a secluded place and discussed, saying: "The wild animal that the king dreamed of has never been seen before. If we do not find it, the king's strict orders will kill us." After discussing this, they became even more unhappy and said: "There are many poisonous snakes and ferocious beasts in these tree holes. It is impossible to travel a long distance and accomplish this task without regard for life, even if we risk our lives. Let us send one capable person from among us to search. If that person sees it, it would be good to tell us!" Saying this, they said to one person: "You risk your life and go and search everywhere! If you find it, we will all take out money and give it generously. If you do not return, we will also give it to your children and wife." After saying this, that person also thought: "It is worth it for me to lose my body and life for so many people!" Thinking this, he prepared his equipment and went to search everywhere in the dangerous mountains and forests. After a long time, he became very tired, and in the hot summer, the sand
