What was said was that the fruits of virtue were obtained, and only encouraging virtuous deeds leads to experiencing such suffering." Having heard those words, the king was very pleased and said, "If others can obtain the fruits of virtue, even experiencing suffering is worthwhile, there is no regret." Having heard this, the king of demons immediately made them disappear. Then, the king went to all places, proclaiming the path of the ten virtuous actions, and all the people desired virtue through body, speech, and mind. Everyone praised the king's virtues. At that time, he possessed a golden wheel and the seven precious jewels, and went to all four continents, diligently establishing virtuous deeds. At that time, that great king was my father, Śuddhodana (ཟས་གཙང་མ།). At that time, the mother of that prince was my mother, the beautiful goddess (ལྷ་མཛེས་མ།). The chief queen also gave birth to a boy after her months were full, but the child she gave birth to was ugly in appearance, like a piece of wood. The king and queen were unhappy and named the child 'Wood Chunk'. After that, he was raised and grew up, and all the brothers got married, but only Prince Wood Chunk did not marry. That prince's grandfather was a Chakravartin king, who had repelled many people, and they raised the Chakravartin king's bow high and offered it to the prince. The prince took the bow and drew it, and the sound of the bowstring being released was like thunder, reaching a distance of forty yojanas.
