ག་པུས་ཀྱང་མི་སྟོང་ཡང་ཐུབ་ལ། བློན་པོ་ཆེན་པོའི་བུ་ཡིན་ཏེ། ཆོ་རིགས་བཙུན་པས་ཉེས་པ་ཞིག་བྱས་ན་ཡང་བགས་ཀྱིས་བྱ་དགོས་སོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས། མི་གདུང་བའི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་སྟེ། ཅི་རིགས་པར་སྙན་པའི་ཚིག་གིས་སྤྲོ་བ་བསྐྱེད་ནས། ཁོ་བོ་སོང་བའི་འོག་ཏུ་ལས་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ཉོན་མ་མོངས་སམ་ཞེས་གཏམ་དྲིས་ནས། འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་བསྒོའོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སྔ་ཕྱིར་ཁོ་བོ་ལ་ཆུ་གང་གིས་སྙིང་བརྩེ་སྟེ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་དྲིན་ནི་རྟག་ཏུ་དྲན་པས། ད་ནི་ཁྱོད་ལ་གསང་བའི་ཆོས་གཅིག་པུ་ཞིག་ཡོད་པ་སྔོན་ཅད་མ་བསྟན་པ་ཁྱོད་ལ་བསྟན་གྱིས། གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་བྱས་ན་གདོན་མི་ཟ་བར་ཚངས་པའི་ལྷར་སྐྱེའོ། །ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ཁྱེའུ་མི་གདུང་བས་པུས་མོ་ས་ལ་བཙུགས་ཏེ། བསྟན་པར་གསོལ་པ་དང་། མི་གདུང་བ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་བསྒོའོ། །ཁྱོད་ཉིན་ཞག་བདུན་གྱིས་དགེ་བ་བསྲུངས་ཏེ་མི་སྟོང་གི་མགོ་བཅད་ནས་སོར་མོ་རེ་རེ་ཞིང་བླངས་ནས་སོར་མོ་སྟོང་གིས་ལུས་ཀྱི་འཕྲེང་བ་བྱས་ན། དེའི་ཚེ་ཚངས་པའི་ལྷ་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་མཐོང་སྟེ། ཚེ་འཕོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ཚངས་པའི་ལྷར་སྐྱེའོ་ཞེས་ལུང་བསྟན་ཏོ། །ཁྱེའུ་མི་གདུང་བས་སློབ་དཔོན་གྱིས་དེ་སྐད་བསྟན་པ་ཐོས་ནས་ཐེ་ཙོམ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། སློབ་དཔོན་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །སྲོག་བཅད་པས་ཚངས་པའི་ལྷར་སྐྱེ་བ་ནི་རིགས་པ་མ་ལགས་སོ། །སློབ་དཔོན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་ཅི་ན་ཁོ་བོའི་སློབ་མ་ཡིན་ན་ཅི་ཁོ་བོས་བསྟན་པའི་མན་ངག་མི་ཉན་ཏམ། ཅི་སྟེ་ཡིད་མི་ཆེས་ན་ཁྲེལ་ལྟས་ཡོད་པ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ། འདིར་མ་འདུག་པར་གར་དགའ་བར་སོང་ཤིག་ཅེས་བསྒོ་ནས། གསང་སྔགས་ཀྱིས་བཏབ་སྟེ། རལ་གྲི་གཅིག་ ས་ལ་བཙུགས་ཏེ། སྔགས་ཀྱིས་བཏབ་པས། ཁྱེའུ་མི་གདུང་བ་ཁྲོས་པའི་སེམས་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། སློབ་དཔོན་གྱིས་ཁྲོས་པར་རིག་ནས། རལ་གྲི་ལག་ཏུ་བྱིན་ནས་མི་གདུང་བ་རལ་གྲི་ཐོགས་ནས་སྒོར་བརྒྱུགས་ཏེ། མི་ཕྲད་དགུ་བསད་ནས་སོར་མོ་བཅད་དེ། ལུས་ཀྱི་འཕྲེང་བར་བཏགས་པས་ཀུན་གྱིས་སོར་འཕྲེང་ཅན་དུ་བཏགས་སོ། །ཀུན་ཏུ་གསོད་ཅིང་ཞག་བདུན་དུ་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཉིན་པར་སོར་མོ་དགུ་བརྒྱ་དགུ་བཅུ་རྩ་དགུ་ནི་རྙེད་ཀྱི་སོར་མོ་གཅིག་གིས་བསྣན་ན་གསོད་པའི་གྲངས་ཀྱང་སྟོང་དུ་ཚང་བ་ལས། མི་ཐམས་ཅད་བྲོས་ཤིང་གབ་པས་གཅིག་ཀྱང་མི་རྒྱུ་སྟེ། ཀུན་ཏུ་བཙལ་ཀྱང་མ་རྙེད་དེ། ཞག་བདུན་གྱི་བར་དུ་ཁ་ཟས་མ་ཟོས་པས་ཁྱེའུའི་མ་བུ་ལ་སྙིང་བརྩེ་ནས་ཁ་ཟས་སྐྱེལ་དུ་བཏང་ན། ཐམས་ཅད་འཇིགས་པས་གཅིག་ཀྱང་མ་སྤོབས་སོ།

即使是哑巴也能战胜一千人，而且他是大臣的儿子，即使是高贵的种姓犯了罪，也应该谨慎处理。这样说完后，他走到不悲者的面前，用各种悦耳的言辞使他高兴，问道：我走后，你的事业是否顺利，没有烦恼？然后这样吩咐道：你过去一直非常爱我，我总是记得你的恩情。现在我将向你展示一个秘密的法门，以前从未展示过。如果你这样做，肯定会转生为梵天。这样说道。不悲少年双膝跪地，请求传授。不悲者这样吩咐道：你用七天的时间守护善行，砍掉一千个人的头，取下每一根手指，用一千根手指做成身体的念珠。那时，你将亲眼见到梵天，死后立即转生为梵天。这样预言道。不悲少年听到上师这样教导后，产生了怀疑，向上师这样禀告道：杀生而转生为梵天是不合道理的。上师说道：你既然是我的学生，为什么不听我教导的诀窍呢？如果你不相信，那就太可耻了，不要待在这里，去你喜欢的地方吧。这样吩咐后，用秘密咒语加持，将一把剑插在地上，用咒语加持。不悲少年生起了愤怒之心，上师知道他生气了，就把剑递给他。不悲者拿着剑跑到门外，杀了九百九十九个人，砍下手指，做成身体的念珠，因此大家都称他为索朗坚（指鬘）。他到处杀人，到了第七天，已经找到了九百九十九根手指，只要再加一根手指，杀人的数量就满一千了。但是所有人都逃跑躲藏起来，一个也找不到。到处寻找也没有找到。七天没有吃饭，少年的母亲和妻子可怜他，想给他送食物，但是所有人都害怕，没有一个人敢去。

Even a mute can defeat a thousand people, and he is the son of a great minister. Even if a noble lineage commits a crime, it should be handled with caution. Having said this, he went to the presence of the Sorrowless One, and pleased him with various pleasant words, asking, 'Since I left, has your work been going well, and are you free from afflictions?' Then he instructed him thus: 'You have always cherished me with great affection, and I always remember your kindness. Now I will reveal to you a secret Dharma, which I have never shown before. If you do as I say, you will undoubtedly be reborn as Brahma.' So he said. The Sorrowless youth knelt on the ground and requested the teaching. The Sorrowless One instructed him thus: 'For seven days, maintain virtue, cut off the heads of a thousand people, take each finger, and make a garland of the body with a thousand fingers. At that time, you will directly see Brahma, and immediately after death, you will be reborn as Brahma.' Thus he prophesied. When the Sorrowless youth heard his teacher's instruction, he became doubtful and said to his teacher, 'It is not reasonable to be reborn as Brahma by killing living beings.' The teacher said, 'If you are my student, why do you not listen to the instructions I give? If you do not believe, then it is shameful. Do not stay here, go wherever you please.' After instructing him thus, he consecrated a sword with secret mantras and stuck it into the ground. He consecrated it with mantras. The Sorrowless youth became angry. The teacher, knowing that he was angry, handed him the sword. The Sorrowless One took the sword and ran out the door, killing nine hundred and ninety-nine people, cutting off their fingers, and making a garland of the body. Therefore, everyone called him Angulimala (Finger Garland). He killed everywhere, and on the seventh day, he had found nine hundred and ninety-nine fingers. If he added one more finger, the number of killings would be complete at a thousand. But everyone had fled and hidden, and no one could be found. He searched everywhere but could not find anyone. Having not eaten for seven days, the youth's mother and wife felt sorry for him and wanted to bring him food, but everyone was afraid and no one dared to go.

།དེ་ནས་ཁྱེའུའི་མ་ཉིད་ཁ་ཟས་ཐོགས་ཏེ། བུའི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་བ་ལས་རྒྱང་མ་ནས་མ་འོངས་པ་མཐོང་བ་དང་། མའི་ཐོག་ཏུ་བརྒྱུགས་ཏེ། གསད་པར་གཟས་པ་ལས། དེ་ལ་མས་སྲི་ཞུ་མེད་པར་ཁྱོད་ཅི་ལོག་པས་བསམས་ཏེ། མཚམས་མེད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་ཅིང་། མ་གསོད་དམ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། ཕྱིར་མ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །བདག་ནི་སློབ་དཔོན་གྱིས་བསྟན་པ་བཞིན་དུ་ཉིན་ཞག་བདུན་གྱིས་སོར་མོ་སྟོང་ཁམ་སྐོངས་ཏེ། སོར་མོ་སྟོང་དུ་ཚང་ན་ཚངས་པའི་ལྷར་སྐྱེ་བས་སོར་མོ་གྲངས་མ་ཚང་སྟེ། མི་བྱར་མི་རུང་བས་ད་གསད་དགོས་སོ་ཞེས་བྱས་པ་དང་། དེ་ལ་ཁྱེའུའི་མས་འདི་ལྟར་གྱུར་ན། ཁོ་མོ་མི་གསད་པར་སོར་མོ་གཅོད་དུ་མི་རུང་ངམ་ཞེས་བསྒོ་བའི་ཚེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་རྒྱང་མ་ནས་འདུལ་བའི་དུས་ལ་བབ་པར་གཟིགས་ཤིང་མཁྱེན་ནས། དགེ་སློང་ཞིག་ཏུ་སྤྲུལ་ཏེ། དེའི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་གཤེགས་སོ། །སོར་འཕྲེང་ཅན་གྱིས་དགེ་སློང་མཐོང་བ་དང་མ་གསོད་པར་བྱ་བ་བཏང་ནས། དགེ་སློང་གི་ཐོག་ཏུ་མཆོངས་ཏེ། གསད་པར་གཟས་སོ། །སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལྟར་འོངས་པར་གཟིགས་ནས། ཞབས་ཀྱིས་དལ་གྱིས་གཤེགས་ཀྱང་སོར་འཕྲེང་ཅན་མཐུ་སྟོབས་གཏུགས་ཏེ། བརྒྱུགས་ཀྱང་མ་སླེབས་ ནས། རྒྱང་མ་ནས་དགེ་སློང་ཁྱོད་ཅུང་ཟད་ཅིག་སྡོད་ཅིག་ཅེས་བོས་སོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་རྒྱང་མ་ནས། ང་ནི་རྟག་ཏུ་སྡོད་ན་ཁྱོད་མི་སྡོད་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ་དང་། སོར་འཕྲེང་ཅན་གྱིས་ཇི་ལྟར་ཁྱོད་ནི་སྡོད་ལ་ཁོ་བོ་ནི་མི་སྡོད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། ། ངའི་དབང་པོ་རྣམས་ནི་རྟག་ཏུ་ཞི་ཞིང་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་གྱི་དབང་ཐོབ་པས་སྡོད་དོ། །ཁྱོད་ནི་སློབ་དཔོན་གྱིས་ལོག་པར་བསྟན་ཏེ། སྡིག་པ་ལ་ཡང་ཡིད་ཆེས་པས། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སེམས་ཀྱང་བསླུས་ཏེ་མི་སྡོད་པས། ཉིན་མཚན་དུ་གསོད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་དེ། སྡིག་པ་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་དོ། །སོར་འཕྲེང་ཅན་གྱིས་ཐོས་པ་ཙམ་གྱིས་སེམས་ཀྱིས་རྟོགས་ཤིང་ཆུད་དོ། །རལ་གྲི་ས་ལ་བོར་ཏེ་རྒྱང་མ་ནས་སྐྱབས་སུ་གསོལ་ལོ་ཞེས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱང་དེར་གཤེགས་ཏེ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུར་སྤྲུལ་ནས། འོད་ཟེར་ལྷང་ངེ་ལྷན་ནེར་མཚན་སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་གསལ་བར་བརྒྱན་པར་བསྟན་ཏོ། །སོར་འཕྲེང་ཅན་གྱིས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་འོད་ཟེར་དང་མཚན་དུ་ལྡན་པ་མཐོང་ནས། ལུས་ས་ལ་བརྡབས་ནས་ཉེས་པ་མཐོལ་ཞིང་འགྱོད་དེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་བསྟན་པས་ཆོས་ལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་མིག

然后，那个孩子的母亲拿着食物，到儿子那里去，（儿子）从远处看到母亲要来了，就朝母亲跑去，想要杀死她。母亲没有理睬，心想：“你为什么疯了？”（儿子）正在做着无间之业，（母亲）说道：“你要杀我吗？”儿子回答母亲说：“我按照老师的指示，七天之内要用一千根手指做成鬘，凑齐一千根手指就能转生为梵天之神，现在手指的数量不够，不做不行了，所以现在要杀了你。”听到这些，孩子的母亲心想：“如果这样的话，不杀我，砍我的手指不行吗？”当她劝说的时候，世尊也从远处看到调伏的时机已经成熟，并且了知此事，于是化现为一个比丘，朝那个方向走去。指鬘看到比丘，就放弃了杀母亲的行为，朝比丘跳去，想要杀死他。佛陀看到他这样过来，就慢慢地走着，但是指鬘用尽全力追赶也赶不上。于是从远处喊道：“比丘，你稍微停一下！”世尊也从远处回答说：“我一直都在停，而你没有停。”指鬘问道：“怎么说你停了而我没有停呢？”世尊这样回答说：“我的诸根一直寂静，并且获得了禅定的力量，所以是停的。你被老师错误地教导，并且相信罪恶，你的心也被迷惑，所以没有停。日日夜夜做着杀戮的事情，做着无边罪恶的事情。”指鬘仅仅是听到这些话，心里就明白了。他把剑扔在地上，从远处祈求救护，并且顶礼。然后世尊也走到那里，化现为佛陀的身相，光明闪耀，以三十二相庄严地显现出来。指鬘看到佛陀的身体具有光明和妙相，就把身体扑倒在地，坦白罪过并且忏悔。世尊为他宣说了佛法，因此他对佛法生起了法眼。

Then, the child's mother took food and went to her son. Seeing her coming from afar, he ran towards his mother, intending to kill her. His mother, paying no attention, thought, "Why are you crazy?" He was engaged in the deeds of uninterrupted karma, and she said, "Are you going to kill me?" The son replied to his mother, "As instructed by my teacher, I must complete a thousand fingers within seven days. If I gather a thousand fingers, I will be reborn as a Brahma god. Now the number of fingers is not enough, and it must be done, so I must kill you now." Hearing this, the child's mother thought, "If that's the case, instead of killing me, can't you just cut off my fingers?" As she was pleading, the Blessed One also saw from afar that the time for taming had come, and knowing this, he manifested as a monk and went in that direction. Angulimala saw the monk and abandoned his intention to kill his mother. He jumped towards the monk, intending to kill him. Seeing him coming in this way, the Buddha walked slowly, but Angulimala, exerting all his strength, could not catch up. So he shouted from afar, "Monk, stop for a moment!" The Blessed One also replied from afar, "I am always stopping, but you are not stopping." Angulimala asked, "How is it that you are stopping and I am not stopping?" The Blessed One replied, "My senses are always peaceful, and I have attained the power of samadhi, so I am stopping. You have been wrongly taught by your teacher, and you believe in evil. Your mind is also deluded, so you are not stopping. Day and night you are engaged in killing, doing endless evil deeds." Angulimala, merely hearing these words, understood in his heart. He threw his sword on the ground, sought refuge from afar, and prostrated. Then the Blessed One also went there, manifested as the body of the Buddha, shining brightly, adorned with the thirty-two marks of excellence. Seeing the Buddha's body endowed with light and marks, Angulimala threw himself on the ground, confessed his sins, and repented. The Blessed One taught him the Dharma, and thus he developed the eye of Dharma towards the Dharma.
