Seven great and tall Brahmins, forty friendly women, five hundred Brahmin boys, charioteers, elephant drivers, horsemen, chariot soldiers, weapon-holders, long-shanked ones, vegetable eaters, violent ones, heroes, those who subdue greatly, many great powerful ones, and many princes with disheveled hair and beards, wearing colorful clothes. Solely through pure faith, they went forth from home to homelessness, following the going forth of Khyungjuk (Khྱབ་འཇུག). The Brahmin Khyungjuk gave the prediction of mindfulness to all. They also generated the four dhyanas and five superknowledges through diligence, practice, and effort. Then, the Brahmin great and tall Khyungjuk, whose name had become the Brahmin great and tall Khyungjuk, disappeared and became the Teacher Khyungjuk. Monks, what do you think? That one who at that time became known as the Teacher Khyungjuk, that was myself. That one who at that time became known as King Dust, that was this very King Rupakaya Those hundreds of thousands of beings who at that time were led by King Dust, those were the eighty thousand gods led by King Rupakaya, and the Brahmins of Magadha and many thousands of householders. At that time, I also caused King Dust and many other people of the land, Brahmins, and thousands of householders to go forth, and established them in the four dhyanas and five superknowledges. Therefore, my fame spread throughout the world. Now also, I have satisfied King Rupakaya, the eighty thousand gods, the Brahmins of Magadha, and thousands of householders with the essence of the sacred Dharma, and have established them in ultimate auspiciousness and the peace of Nirvana. The Hundred Deeds, the thirty-seventh chapter, the last. The story entitled "Strife." The basis of the narrative: [The Buddha] was dwelling in Shravasti. At that time in Shravasti, many ordinary people were engaged in fighting, exposing faults, gambling, and arguing.

Homage! The Buddha, the Bhagavan, is the guide of the one and only path, possessing mastery over the two kinds of knowledge and wisdom, skilled in the three unmixed mindfulness placements, fearless with the four fearlessnesses, liberated from going to the five destinies, skilled in the six sense sources, with the seven branches of enlightenment as the field of activity, meditating on the eight liberations, entering into the nine successive abidings, possessing the power of the ten powers, proclaiming the great, true lion's roar, according to their nature, three times during the day and three times during the night, thus six times day and night, with the Buddha's eye, they look upon the world: Who is declining? Who is prospering? Who is impoverished? Who has become miserable? Who is associated with harm? Who is associated with poverty, misery, and harm? Who is inclined towards the lower realms? Who is falling into the lower realms? Who has fallen into the lower realms? Who shall I rescue from the lower realms and place in the heavenly realms, liberation, and fruition? Who shall I pull out by the hand from sinking in the mire of wrong conduct? Who lacks the seven noble riches, shall I make them possess the dominion of the seven noble riches? Who has not generated roots of virtue, shall I cause them to generate? Who has already generated roots of virtue, shall I cause them to fully ripen? Who has fully ripened roots of virtue, shall I pierce them with the sword of wisdom? Who shall have the fruit of the world adorned by the appearance of the Buddha? Thus, they engage in wisdom-seeing. The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, the waves of time may pass, but for the sons to be tamed, the Buddha does not miss the opportunity. Then, the Bhagavan thought: The time has come to tame the many ordinary beings, I shall turn them away from fighting, fault-finding, competing, and coarseness, and place them in the attainment of ultimate peace and the bliss of Nirvana. Thinking thus, in the early morning, he put on his lower garment and Dharma robes, took his bowl, and went to Shravasti for alms, going to where the many ordinary beings were. Those many ordinary beings saw the Buddha, the Bhagavan, from afar. They saw.

From there, they were also amazed, and after preparing a seat for the Blessed One, they requested: "Blessed One, your arrival is excellent, excellent! Please come and reside here, Blessed One." Then, after sitting on the prepared seat, the Blessed One said to the great multitude: "Friends, what are you doing and abiding? If you need to fight with others, do you abide fighting with others?" They requested: "Blessed One, with whom should we fight?" The Blessed One said: "Friends, then abide here! I will explain it to you in detail." Then those great multitudes bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and sat before him to listen to the Dharma. Then the Blessed One said to those great multitudes: "You must fight with the afflictions. Strive to abandon the afflictions!" The Blessed One taught them the Dharma that was in accordance with this. Therefore, their mixture of anger disappeared, and while sitting on those seats, they destroyed the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates with the vajra of wisdom, and realized the fruit of stream-entry. After seeing the truth, they draped their upper robes over one shoulder, and bowed with folded hands towards where the Blessed One was, and requested the Blessed One thus: "Venerable one, if we can go forth into the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya, receive full ordination, and obtain the status of a Bhikshu, we also wish to practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Blessed One." Then the Blessed One ordained them with the words, "Come, Bhikshus!" and bestowed full ordination upon them, and also prophesied to them. They also abandoned all afflictions through diligence, practice, and effort, and realized the state of Arhat. Those Arhats, having become free from the desire of the three realms, possessed minds that were equal to gold and tiles, similar to the sky and the palm of the hand, and had become as cool as if soaked in sandalwood. They had shattered the shell of ignorance with wisdom, obtained knowledge, supernormal powers, and individual perfect knowledge, and had cut off the gains and losses of existence.
