Having disappeared from the garden of Lava, he entered the place of offering of that householder. Then, that householder saw the Buddha, the Bhagavan, from afar. Having seen him, he felt joy. Having felt joy, he went to where the Bhagavan was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan, and said to the Bhagavan: Oh, Bhagavan, please go to my place of offering and enjoy it. Then, the Bhagavan did not say anything to that householder and granted it. Then, that householder, knowing that the Sangha of monks, including the Buddha, were seated comfortably, satisfied them with many clean and excellent foods and drinks from his own hands, and after they had taken whatever they wished, he sat before them to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Bhagavan aroused joy in the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. That householder developed a desire for the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then, he invited the Buddha and the Sangha of monks for three months, prepared all the necessary items in the garden of Prince Jeta, and served the Buddha and the Sangha of monks with all the necessary items. On the final day, he offered the Buddha and the Sangha of monks food with a hundred flavors, and offered the Bhagavan a robe worth a million. He also offered each of the other monks a pair of cloths, and then made a prayer for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, saying: Oh, by this root of virtue, may I, in a blind world without a guide or teacher, become a Tathagata, an Arhat, a perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, a knower of the world, a tamer of beings, an unsurpassed one, a teacher of gods and humans, a Buddha, a Bhagavan. Then, the Bhagavan said to that householder: Householder, well done! Well done! In the future, you will, in a blind world without a guide or teacher, become a Tathagata, an Arhat, a perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata.

pa. Knowing the world, taming men, unsurpassed tamer, teacher of gods and humans, the Tathagata Bhagavan is called "Well-Seeing," so it is said. The Hundred Thousand Deeds, Volume Thirty-One, called "Precious." The origin of the story is that the Buddha was staying in Shravasti. At that time, a caravan leader from Shravasti took goods and prepared to enter the great ocean. That caravan leader also placed great importance on divination. He loaded the goods onto mules and donkeys, etc., and came out of the great gate of Shravasti, and went on the great road, and he generated such a thought: If I can return safely from the great ocean, and successfully complete the voyage, and return, I will hold a gate festival at this gate, and I will also hold a road festival on this great road. Thinking this way, he went to the great ocean. Then he endeavored to travel to the Isle of Jewels. After coming to the shore from the great ocean, he thought: I entered the great ocean by great ship, therefore I have acquired great wealth. I should honor the gods of the ocean and the gods dwelling on the ship on this very shore of the ocean. So, he made great offerings to the gods on that very shore of the ocean, and then set out for Shravasti. Then, gradually traveling and going, he finally arrived at Shravasti. After placing the goods in Shravasti, he made great offerings to the great gate of the city and the gods of that great road, and engaged in giving and doing good deeds. He piled up a great heap of jewels, and began to give to monks, Brahmins, practitioners, wanderers, the poor, the destitute, and the hungry. The Tathagata Bhagavan is the teacher of the one and only path, possessing mastery over the two kinds of knowledge and wisdom, skilled in the three unmixed mindfulnesses, fearless with the four fearlessnesses, liberated from going to the five destinies, skilled in the six sense bases, having the seven branches of enlightenment as his field of activity, completely
