Entering into the samadhi of the nine successive absorptions, possessing the power of the ten strengths, proclaiming the great sound of the true lion's roar, by the nature of reality, three times during the day and three times during the night, that is, six times day and night, with the Buddha's eye, he observes the world, who is declining? Who is prospering? Who is poor? Who has become miserable? Who is endowed with harm? Who is poor, miserable, and endowed with harm? Who is inclined towards the evil realms? Who is falling into the evil realms? Who has fallen into the evil realms? Who shall I rescue from the evil realms and place in the heavens, liberation, and fruition? Who shall I pull up by the hand from sinking in the swamp of misconduct? Who, from lacking the seven noble riches, shall I make possess the power of the seven noble riches? Who, from not having generated roots of virtue, shall I cause to generate? Who, from having already generated roots of virtue, shall I cause to fully ripen? Who, from having fully ripened roots of virtue, shall I pierce with the sword of wisdom? For whom shall the world adorned by the appearance of the Buddha have fruit? Thus, the vision of wisdom arises. The ocean is the abode of makaras and other creatures, the waves of time may pass, but for the sons to be tamed, the Buddha does not miss the opportunity. Then, the Blessed One thought: This guardian of the Joyful Grove will generate the mind of non-regression from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Having thought thus, in the early morning, wearing the lower garment and Dharma robes, carrying the alms bowl, he went to Shravasti for alms. Then, the guardian of the Joyful Grove saw the Buddha, the Blessed One, from afar. Having seen him, he became extremely joyful towards the Blessed One. Having become joyful, he thought: I will send the messenger King Prasenajit, and I myself will make offerings to the Blessed One. Having thought thus, he threw that lotus into the sky above the Blessed One, and due to the power of the Blessed One, that lotus became as large as a chariot wheel, and if the Blessed One went, it would follow, and if the Blessed One stayed, it would remain. Then, the guardian of the Joyful Grove, having seen such a miracle, became even more extremely joyful towards the Blessed One.

Having made aspirations for the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, Alas, by this root of virtue, may I, in a blind world without guides or teachers, become the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, knower of the world, tamer of beings, unsurpassed, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan. Thus he spoke. Then, the Bhagavan spoke to the guardian of the Kundga Garden: "Well done, well done! In the future, you will, in a blind world without guides or teachers, become the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, knower of the world, tamer of beings, unsurpassed, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan, known as Lama." Thus he spoke. The method of contemplation: The basis of the discourse is that he resided in Jeta Grove in Shravasti. At that time, in Shravasti, there lived a householder who was rich, wealthy, and had great possessions, possessing vast and extensive holdings, whose wealth was equal to that of Vaishravana, competing with the wealth of Vaishravana. This householder was of a loving nature, compassionate, amiable to all sentient beings, generous in giving, sharing the same views as all wondrous things, and equanimous in his mind towards generosity. He would perform great sacrifices from time to time and practice the teachings of the scriptures. He observed that everyone praised him and disparaged others, so those people did not like the householder. Later, the householder heard the praises of the Bhagavan and thought to himself: Since he has realized all dharmas, I am certain that the Bhagavan is omniscient. As soon as he heard the praises, he had this thought: Alas, how wonderful it would be if the Bhagavan could come to this place of my sacrifice! Then, the Bhagavan thought: I must generate the roots of virtue of that householder, and relying on him, many who need to be tamed can be led. Then, the princeརྒྱ
