It was done. Then the king said, "I am but the property of the dead, the living are the masters of the people. That son of lineage is still alive, and the hermits may return and even reside in their homes." Having said this, the king took nothing from his house. Then one day, he heard that his wife had arrived in the king's capital with five hundred black elephants. Having heard this, he invited them and their entourage to his house and gave them food. Then his wife thought, "Is this someone who has completed the task? Or is he just an ordinary person? If he is just an ordinary person, then I must find a way to test him." So, when he was eating, she dropped a copper basin from the roof in front of him. He was startled by the sound. Once, when he was eating, she even scraped the copper basin with a knife. When he saw this, he thought, "This is not an Arhat, this is just an ordinary person, I can test him." So, she prostrated at his feet and said, "Since the master is not here, our wealth has become devalued. Therefore, could the master please come to our house tomorrow with one hundred and fifty people for a meal?" Then, the black elephant dweller agreed without saying anything to his wife. The next day, she gave food to him and one hundred and fifty people, and again the next day she invited one hundred people for a meal. In this way, the woman gradually reduced the number of people she invited, and on the last day she invited only him for a meal. She gave him food, and in order to test him, she spoke words of poverty, saying, "Since the master is not here, even the servants despise me." She had previously instructed a slave boy, "When I am listening to the Dharma, you must call me three times, and then come to me. After you come, grab me by the hair and throw me in front of the master." This is how she arranged it. Then, the slave boy did exactly as he was told. The woman said, "Master, look now! Even in your presence, I am treated like this."

Having heard about this. Then, as soon as he heard about it, Naka Elephant's residence arose with great anger. As he was angry, his wife took the sword that had been placed on the bed earlier, drew it from its sheath, and ran towards the child. His wife paid homage to his feet and said, 'Lord, please do not be impulsive for a moment, but first offer the basis of learning, and then it will not be too late to punish him.' Then, Naka Elephant's residence offered the basis of learning in front of his wife, took off his colored robes, and sat wearing the clothes of a householder. Then his wife said, 'I did this in order to guide the Lord on the right path, please do not hold a grudge against this. The Lord's family's wealth is very abundant, from now on the Lord can enjoy whatever he desires, and also give alms and accumulate merit.' Then, King Form-bodied Heart heard that Naka Elephant's residence had offered the basis of learning and had broken his vows, so the king sent for him and restored him to his former position. Then, those many monks put on their skirts and robes in the morning, took their bowls, and went to Rajagriha to beg for alms. As those many monks were begging for alms in Rajagriha, they heard that Naka Elephant's residence had offered the basis of learning and had broken his vows. Having heard this, they returned from begging for alms in Rajagriha, ate their meal, gave up the after-meal snacks, put down their bowls and robes, washed their feet, and went to where the Blessed One was staying. Having arrived, they bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and then sat on one side. Having sat on one side, the many monks said these words to the Blessed One: 'Venerable One, we, these many monks, put on our skirts and robes in the morning, took our bowls, and went to Rajagriha to beg for alms. Venerable One, we, these many monks, while begging for alms in Rajagriha, heard that Naka Elephant's residence had offered the basis of learning and had broken his vows.' The Blessed One said to the monks

Thus he spoke: "Monks, this son of good family will not remain in the household for long. He will renounce in my teaching, abandon all defilements, and directly realize the state of an Arhat." Then, the Blessed One, seeing that the time had come to subdue Naka Elephant-Dweller, put on his lower garment and robes in the early morning, took his alms bowl, and went to Rajagriha for alms. Gradually, after taking alms in Rajagriha, he went to the house where Naka Elephant-Dweller lived and stood at the door of the house. To guide him, the Blessed One emitted rays of light, which made his entire house appear like the color of molten gold. Then, Naka Elephant-Dweller thought: "Whose light is this? It must be the Blessed One's. Where is the Blessed One? He must be there, thinking of me." At that moment, a messenger came and told Naka Elephant-Dweller: "The Blessed One is at the door." Then, with reverence, he went to where the Blessed One was, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, and with his palms joined together respectfully, said to the Blessed One: "What does the Blessed One command?" The Blessed One said: "Abandon the house where you live and come here. Renounce here in my presence." Thus, the Blessed One, in life after life, had never broken the word of anyone who was like a lama or in the position of a lama, so no one could break the word of the Blessed One. Then he said: "I will do as the Blessed One commands." Having said this, he followed behind the Blessed One. The Blessed One led him to the Light Garden, ordained him, gave him the full ordination, and also prophesied for him. Through diligence, practice, and effort, he abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of an Arhat. Then, the monks asked the Buddha, the Blessed One: "Venerable One, what deeds did Naka Elephant-Dweller do, that the ripening of that deed, Blessed One,"
