Then, Galava folded his palms in reverence and knelt on his right knee. He said, "I prostrate to the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Samyak-sambuddha." After saying this, Indra, the lord of the gods, disappeared from that very spot. Then, the monks asked the Buddha, the Bhagavan, "Venerable one, what deeds did Indra, the lord of the gods, perform, that as a result of those deeds, he has great miraculous powers and great strength? How did he please the Bhagavan, and not displease the Bhagavan? Venerable one, what deeds did these eighty thousand gods perform, that as a result of those deeds, they rely solely on this Indra, and how did they please the Bhagavan, and not displease the Bhagavan?" The Bhagavan replied, "It is due to the power of aspiration." Where did these supplicants make their aspirations? He replied: "Monks, in the past, in a bygone era, in this very fortunate eon, when the lifespan of beings was forty thousand years, there appeared in the world a Samyak-sambuddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, a knower of the world, a tamer of beings, unsurpassed, a teacher of gods and humans, a Buddha, the Bhagavan, named Khorwa Jik (Destroyer of Samsara). When he attained unsurpassed wisdom and went to the beautiful city of the king's palace, for the sake of the Samyak-sambuddha Khorwa Jik, King Misepa built five hundred monasteries, made six thousand dwellings, and offered them to the Samyak-sambuddha Khorwa Jik and his monastic community of Shravakas. He furnished all the necessities in those monasteries, and together with eighty thousand attendants, diligently made offerings to the Samyak-sambuddha Khorwa Jik and his monastic community of Shravakas. Then, when the Samyak-sambuddha Khorwa Jik had completed all the deeds of a Buddha and passed into the realm of Nirvana without remainder, King Misepa made offerings to his relics and built a stupa for the relics.

Having completely finished, they made great offerings to that stupa and made aspirations, saying: Alas! With this root of virtue, wherever I may be born, if I am born in the realm of the gods, may I become a great god, the lord of all the gods. If I am born in the realm of humans, may I become a great person, the lord of royal power among all people. After saying this, when the king was making aspirations, the attendants saw him and asked: What aspirations did the god make? Then, the king explained it to them in detail. As soon as they heard it, they also immediately paid homage to that stupa and made aspirations, saying: Alas! With this root of virtue, wherever we may be born, may we be born into a wealthy family with much wealth and great enjoyment, and relying on this king alone, may we please such a teacher, and may we not displease him. Monks, what do you think? That handsome king at that time was none other than this Indra, the lord of the gods. There, he served and revered the perfectly enlightened Buddha World Destroyer and the monastic community of the Shravakas, and as a result of the maturation of that karma of making aspirations, sometimes when he was born in the realm of the gods, he became a great god and became the lord of all the gods. Sometimes when he was born in the realm of humans, he became a great person and became the lord of royal power in the human realm. Monks, I and the perfectly enlightened Buddha World Destroyer have attained extreme similarity, equal power, equal deeds, and equal methods, and therefore he has pleased me and has not displeased me. The eighty thousand attendants at that time were none other than these eighty thousand gods. They also served and revered the perfectly enlightened Buddha World Destroyer and the monastic community of the Shravakas, and as a result of the maturation of that karma of making aspirations, wherever they were born, they were born into wealthy families with much wealth and great enjoyment, and relying on this Indra alone, these people have pleased me and have not displeased me.

So! The so-called king is, the origin of the story is that he lived in Shravasti. At that time, in Shravasti, there lived a Brahmin who, due to circumstances, took a wife and played and rejoiced with her, very happy. Later, his wife became pregnant, and after nine or ten months, she gave birth to a son. When this child grew up, he learned the letters, the practices of the Brahmins, manners, and the word "Om" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om), and the word "Bho" (Tibetan: བྷོ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भो, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bho, literal Chinese meaning: Bho), as well as cleanliness, rituals, taking ashes, holding pills, the explanation of the Vedas, the sacrifices of the Vedas, the poetry of the Vedas, the politics of the Vedas, the act of sacrifice, having others perform sacrifices, giving, receiving, reciting, and teaching others how to recite. He became proficient in six affairs and became a Brahmin. Eventually, he became proficient in eighteen fields of knowledge. After that, his parents passed away. After his parents passed away, the young man thought: According to the rules of the Brahmins, one must practice celibacy for forty-eight years before taking a wife. I will also practice celibacy for forty-eight years. So, he practiced celibacy for forty-eight years and then took a wife. His wife was beautiful, pleasing to the eye, and lustful, desiring men. She lived with her old husband and felt dissatisfied, so she looked for other men. Later, she had an idea: As long as this husband is here, I will have no chance to sleep with other men. I should send him somewhere else. So, she said to the Brahmin: Since you have nothing in your house, what are you doing marrying me? I want to go back to my parents' house. However, I can easily find food. The Brahmin said: Good girl, don't be unhappy. We Brahmins can live by begging. I will go to another place to seek wealth and then come back. After saying this, he gave his wife food and left. After he left, he arrived at...
