So. Then, after hearing the Blessed One's request for a prophecy, the lord of the gods, Indra, praised the Blessed One's teachings and rejoiced. He then made a further request to the Blessed One: "Venerable one, how many forms does a monk who has entered the path of cessation of elaboration have?" The Blessed One replied, "There are two forms." The Blessed One taught: "Kauśika, for a monk who has entered the path of cessation of elaboration, there are three forms of the body, but I say there are two. These are the body of pleasure, the body of displeasure, and the body of equanimity. Kauśika, I say that even the body of pleasure has two aspects: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Among these, cultivating the body of pleasure, knowing what is not suitable to abide in, that should be completely abandoned, I say. Among these, cultivating the body of pleasure, knowing what is suitable to abide in, then, the Tathagata, knowing the time for that prophecy, should cultivate it with mindfulness and awareness, I say. Kauśika, I say that the body of displeasure and the body of equanimity also have two aspects: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Cultivating the body of displeasure and the body of equanimity, knowing what is not suitable to abide in, that should be completely abandoned, I say. Among these, cultivating the body of displeasure and the body of equanimity, knowing what is suitable to abide in, then, the Tathagata, knowing the time for that prophecy, should cultivate it with mindfulness and awareness, I say. The lord of the gods, Indra, reported: "Venerable one, it is indeed so. It is indeed so, venerable one. You say that a monk who has entered the path of cessation of elaboration has three forms of the body, but you say there are two, namely the body of pleasure, the body of displeasure, and the body of equanimity. Venerable one, you say that even the body of pleasure has two aspects: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated."

, for this, having established a comfortable body, for those who know that it is not appropriate to abide, you say that it is to be manifestly and definitely abandoned. For this, having established a comfortable body, for those who know that it is appropriate to abide, you say that at that time, the Thus-gone One, knowing the time of the prophecy, should practice with mindfulness and awareness. Uncomfortable bodies and neutral bodies also have two kinds of situations: those that should be practiced and those that should not be practiced, you say. For this, having established an uncomfortable body and a neutral body, for those who know that it is not appropriate to abide, you say that it is to be manifestly and definitely abandoned. For this, having established an uncomfortable body and a neutral body, for those who know that it is appropriate to abide, you say that at that time, the Thus-gone One, knowing the time of the prophecy, should practice with mindfulness and awareness. The meaning of what the Blessed One said, I have understood. If one practices what kind of comfortable body, it will cause unwholesome dharmas to increase and wholesome dharmas to decline, such a comfortable body should not be practiced, you say. If one practices what kind of comfortable body, it will cause unwholesome dharmas to decline and wholesome dharmas to increase, such a comfortable body should be practiced, you say. Having understood the meaning of diligence, I have transcended hesitation and am free from doubt. Karma Shatam, Volume Thirty-Four. Then, having heard the prediction of the request from the Blessed One by the Lord of the Gods, Indra, praising and rejoicing in the Blessed One's teachings, he made a further request to the Blessed One: "Venerable One, are all sentient beings the same in desire? Are they the same in intention? Are they the same in faith? Are they the same in thought?" The Blessed One replied, "Kauśika, all sentient beings are not the same in desire, nor the same in intention, nor the same in faith, nor the same in thought. Kauśika, these worlds are of different realms, not of the same realm. They strongly hold that whatever realm they hold is the most supreme, and clinging to it, they follow it, thinking, 'This is true, and the others are foolish.'" "Kauśika, if these worlds are of different realms and of many realms, then if these sentient beings do not think that the realm they hold is the most supreme, do not cling to it, do not follow it, and do not think, 'This is true, and the others are foolish,' then why are these worlds of different realms and of many realms? Therefore, these sentient beings strongly hold that whatever realm they hold is the most supreme, and clinging to it, they follow it, thinking, 'This is true, and the others are foolish.'" The Lord of the Gods, Indra, replied, "Venerable One, it is so, it is so. All sentient beings are not the same in desire, nor the same in intention, nor the same in faith, nor the same in thought.
