The place was granted. Then, King Clear Victory praised the words spoken by the Bhagavan, and subsequently rejoiced. He bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan and then departed from the presence of the Bhagavan. Then, the Bhagavan disappeared from the grove of Prince Victory Banner and went to the boundary between the northern region of Panchala and the southern region of Panchala, and remained there. The Bhagavan blessed them so that they would have the thought of fighting. Then, the king of the northern Panchala and the king of the southern Panchala, each leading an army of four divisions, prepared for battle. As they began to fight, by the power of the Buddha, neither of them could defeat the other, but each thought that the other could defeat him. So, each of them rode in a chariot and went to where the Bhagavan was, bowed their heads at the feet of the Bhagavan, and sat down on one side. The Bhagavan also blessed them so that they could not see each other. The Bhagavan thought, 'Of these two, one will go forth into my teaching, abandon all defilements, and realize the state of an Arhat; the other will generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, never to turn back.' So, the Bhagavan spoke to one of them about the four noble truths, and to the other, he spoke about that which would make him rejoice in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then, the king of the southern Panchala rose from his seat, bared one shoulder, and, with his palms joined together, bowed towards the Bhagavan and said to the Bhagavan, 'Venerable one, if I am able to go forth in this well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya, receive full ordination, and obtain the state of a Bhikshu, then I would also like to practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Bhagavan.' Then, the Bhagavan ordained him with the words, 'Come, Bhikshu' (藏文:དགེ་སློང་ཚུར་ཤོག,梵文天城体:एह भिक्षो,梵文罗马拟音:ehi bhikṣo,汉语字面意思:来,比丘), and gave him full ordination, and also gave him a prophecy. He also exerted effort, practiced, and strived.

Having abandoned all defilements, he directly realized the state of an Arhat. The king of Panza-la in the north also rose from his seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, and, with palms joined, bowed in the direction of the Blessed One. He then addressed the Blessed One, saying: "Blessed One, I wish to offer robes, food, bedding, seats, medicines, and medical supplies to the Blessed One and the Sangha of monks for three months. May the Blessed One grant me this." Then, the Blessed One remained silent, thus granting his consent to the king of Panza-la in the north. Then, the king of Panza-la in the north, knowing that the Blessed One had granted his consent by remaining silent, invited the Buddha and the Sangha of monks to his own country. For three months, he provided the Buddha and the Sangha of monks with all necessities, attending to them with all kinds of provisions. On the final day, he offered the Buddha and the Sangha of monks food with a hundred flavors, and presented the Blessed One with robes worth a million. He also offered each of the other monks a pair of cloths, and made a prayer to attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, saying: "Alas, by this root of virtue, may I, in a blind world without guide or teacher, become a Tathagata, an Arhat, a perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, a knower of the world, a tamer of beings, an unsurpassed one, a teacher of gods and humans, a Buddha, a Blessed One." Then, the Blessed One spoke to the king of Panza-la: "Great King, well done! Well done! In the future, Great King, you will, in a blind world without guide or teacher, become a Tathagata, an Arhat, a perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, a knower of the world, a tamer of beings, an unsurpassed one, a teacher of gods and humans, a Buddha, a Blessed One, named Victorious." This concludes the eighth chapter of verses from the Hundred Karmas.
