Having gone to the intermediate state. Knowing the world. Tamer of beings. The unsurpassed teacher of gods and humans. May you become a Buddha, a Bhagavan. Then the Bhagavan spoke to the guardian of Kunga Rawa: "Well done, well done, good sir. In the future, when the world is blind, without a guide, without a teacher, the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, Tamer of beings, the unsurpassed teacher of gods and humans, will become known as the Buddha Bhagavan Padma'i Lama." The second Padma: The basis of the discourse is that he was dwelling in Nyen Yod. At that time, in that very Nyen Yod, there was a guardian of Kunga Rawa. From the lake within it, a lotus was born out of season. He thought, "I shall offer this lotus to King Salgyal. However, it will become the source of my great wealth." So he took it and set out for the king's palace. The Buddha Bhagavan, the guide on the solitary path, possessed of the two kinds of knowledge and wisdom, skilled in the three unmixed mindfulnesses, fearless with the four fearlessnesses, completely liberated from going to the five realms, skilled in the six sense bases, the object of practice for the seven limbs of enlightenment, meditating on the eight liberations, entering into the nine successive abidings, endowed with the ten powers, proclaiming the great roar of the true lion, by nature, three times during the day and three times during the night, thus six times during the day and night, the Buddha's eye gazes upon the world, seeing who is declining, who is rising, who is poor, who is distressed, who is harmed, who is poor and distressed and harmed, who is inclined towards the lower realms, who is falling into the lower realms, who has fallen into the lower realms, who I shall lead out of the lower realms and place in the higher realms and liberation and fruition, who is sinking in the swamp of wrong conduct from whom I shall draw out by the hand, who lacks the seven noble riches from whom the noble

May he be made the master of the seven treasures. May he generate roots of virtue that have not been generated. May he fully ripen the roots of virtue that have already been generated. May he pierce with the sword of wisdom the roots of virtue that have already been fully ripened. May he have the fruit of a world adorned by the appearance of the Buddha, thus entering into the contemplation of wisdom. The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, and the waves of time may pass away. For the sons who are to be tamed, the time of the Buddha will not be missed. Then, the Blessed One thought: 'This guardian of the pleasure garden will generate the irreversible mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.' Having thought thus, in the early morning, he put on his lower garment and Dharma robes, took his bowl, and went to Shravasti for alms. Then, the guardian of the pleasure garden saw the Buddha, the Blessed One, from afar. Having seen him, he became very joyful towards the Blessed One. Having become joyful, he thought: 'I will send King Light and offer to the Blessed One myself.' Then, he threw the lotus into the sky above the Blessed One. Through the power of the Blessed One, the lotus became as large as a chariot wheel, and when the Blessed One walked, it moved along, and when the Blessed One stayed, it stayed. Then, the guardian of the pleasure garden, having seen such a miracle, became even more joyful towards the Blessed One, and made a prayer for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment: 'Alas! By this root of virtue, may I, in a blind world without a guide or teacher, become a Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, knower of the world, tamer of beings, unsurpassed, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Blessed One!' Then, the Blessed One said to the guardian of the pleasure garden: 'Well done! Well done! O virtuous one, in the future, you will, in a blind world without a guide or teacher, become a Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and
