, and having attained the same method. This one has pleased me, and has not displeased me. Then, as soon as they heard that, the monks felt great sorrow. The Blessed One, realizing that their minds had become sorrowful, taught them the Dharma that was in accordance with that. Therefore, while those monks were sitting on that very seat, they abandoned all afflictions and directly realized the state of an Arhat. The story called 'Body Excellent' is as follows: The foundation was that the Buddha was residing in Shravasti. At that time, in Shravasti, there was a Brahmin of high and noble lineage, wealthy, possessing much wealth and great enjoyment, with vast holdings, endowed with the wealth of Vaishravana (Tibetan: རྣམ་ཐོས་ཀྱི་བུ།), and rivaling the wealth of Vaishravana, named Body Excellent. He took a wife through proper means, and together with her, he engaged in play and enjoyment. Later, his wife became pregnant. After nine or ten months, she gave birth to a boy who was handsome, pleasing to behold, beautiful, with good complexion, golden in color, with a head like an umbrella, long arms, a broad forehead, a high and well-formed nose, and thick eyebrows. They held a grand celebration for his birth and discussed what name to give the boy, deciding to name him in accordance with their lineage. Since this boy was the son of the Brahmin Body Excellent, they said, 'Therefore, this boy's name shall be Superior Excellent.' Then, the boy Superior Excellent was raised and nurtured with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of ghee, growing rapidly like a lotus in a lake. Then, when he grew up, they taught him writing, the customs of Brahmins, conduct, Om (Tibetan: ༀ་, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, meaning: perfection), Bho (Tibetan: བྷོ་, Devanagari: भो, Romanized Sanskrit: bho, meaning: call), cleanliness, rituals, taking ashes, holding pellets, the explanation of the Vedas, the explanation of sacrifices, the explanation of poetry, the explanation of politics, the performance of sacrifices, the instruction in performing sacrifices, giving, receiving, reciting, and the methods of teaching recitation, making him a Brahmin skilled in six professions. Gradually, he became proficient in the eighteen branches of knowledge and was able to debate through scriptures.

Everything was cut off. Then one day, the Brahmin Lushipa thought: I will perform a sacrifice. Then another thought arose: This Shramana Gautama is all-knowing and all-seeing. He knows everything that has happened in the past, will happen in the future, and is happening in the present. There is nothing that he does not know, does not understand, or does not comprehend. It would not be right if my sacrifice were to be deficient in even some aspects. I should go to Shramana Gautama and ask him. So he rode in a chariot drawn by a white mare, holding a golden staff and a golden ball, surrounded by a group of Brahmin youths, and set out from Shravasti (ancient Indian city, now in Uttar Pradesh) to Jetavana. When the chariot reached the place where it could travel, he got off and walked into Jetavana, to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he greeted the Blessed One, exchanged various pleasant and satisfying topics of conversation, and then humbly sat to one side. Having sat to one side, the Brahmin Lushipa reported to the Blessed One, saying: Gautama, I have prepared a large sacrifice here, and in order to perform this large sacrifice, I have tied five hundred bulls to trees, as well as cattle, buffaloes, female buffaloes, beasts of burden, calves, small calves, goats, sheep, and various small animals, all tied to trees. In order to perform the sacrifice, I have also prepared a large amount of food and drink. Householders and Brahmins from various directions and regions have gathered in Shravasti to experience my sacrifice. Blessed One Gautama, please instruct me on how to ensure that my sacrifice is not affected by any deficiencies in any aspect. Then, the Blessed One, starting from his sacrifice itself, taught him the Dharma that corresponded to it. Therefore, the Brahmin Lushipa and the Brahmin youth Shushana, sitting in the same seat, gave rise to twenty kinds of wisdom of the mountain peak of the view of the aggregation of existence.
