At the time when I honored him with great respect, he became the teacher of all the beings in the land. Now, when I honor him and place him in a position as great and vast as myself, he becomes the teacher of the entire world. The Hundred Karmas, Volume Twenty-Three. 'Ananda' refers to when the venerable Ananda diligently practiced and mastered the eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, the Blessed One also taught that he was the best among those who uphold what they have heard and those who accumulate what they have heard. The venerable Mahakashyapa, the Blessed One also showed him to be as great and vast as himself, and at that time, the two of them became the teachers of the world, including the gods. Then, the Blessed One thought: 'This monk will be able to accomplish the affairs of the teachings after I have passed into complete nirvana, one will be able to protect the treasury of what has been heard, and one will be able to accomplish the affairs of the teachings.' Thinking this, the Blessed One set out for the city of Kushinagar. Then, when the Blessed One was about to pass into complete nirvana, he thought: 'If I entrust the teachings only to humans and not to non-humans, then the teachings will not last long. If I entrust them only to non-humans and not to humans, then the teachings will not last long. Rather, if I entrust the teachings to the gods and humans, and to those two monks, then the gods and humans will completely receive them, and the two monks will also completely receive them, and thus the teachings will last long.' Thinking this, the Blessed One said to the venerable Mahakashyapa: 'Kashyapa, after I have passed into complete nirvana, you should accomplish the affairs of the teachings, properly and truly compile the three baskets, and do not pass into complete nirvana until the monk Ananda has abandoned all defilements and has not yet directly realized the state of an Arhat.' Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Ananda: 'Ananda, do not pass into nirvana until you have seen the sunrise of the Righteous One.' Regarding this, you

之后,具寿大迦叶离开后不久,世尊生起了世俗的想法,说道:“唉,天界之主帝释天啊!”, "english_translation": "Say these words: 'King of Nagas, subdue Hulu Ru, Establish a place in Kashmir (Khache), and cause the Dharma to abide there, make it widespread, and likewise, ordain the householder Somaka.
