圆满正等觉佛陀光护与，极其平等，威力平等，事业平等，方便平等获得之后。此子令我欢喜未令不喜，于我之教法中出家，断除一切烦恼，现证阿罗汉果。其父对那佛塔恭敬承侍后，以发愿之业的成熟，无论生于何处，皆生于富裕、财富众多、受用广大之族姓中。仅以此子之缘故，此子令我欢喜未令不喜。 《业百则》，第二十一品，《狐狸》之因缘。 故事之本，住在舍卫城时。那时，舍卫城中有一施主，富裕、财富众多、受用广大，广行摄持，拥有广大的财富，与多闻天子之财宝相等，与多闻天子之财宝相竞争。他因缘具足而娶妻，与她一同嬉戏、欢喜、享受快乐。后来，他的妻子怀孕了，从她的身上散发出粪便的气味，心中也产生了这样的欲望：想吃喝粪便和尿液。然后，她对丈夫说：丈夫啊，我心中产生了这样的欲望。

Later, his wife became pregnant, and from her body emanated the smell of feces, and in her mind, such a desire arose: she thought of eating and drinking feces and urine. Then, as soon as the child was born, the mother's previous desire disappeared. After that, they held a grand celebration of his birth and gave him a name that suited the family. They raised him with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of clarified butter. When he was able to walk, he would take his own feces, some would eat it, some would smear it on their bodies, and those women would stop him. After that, when he grew up, they had him learn to read and write, and sent him to a Khenpo (abbot or tutor). But he would go to places where there was fecal sludge and eat feces. His parents found out about this and were very distressed. They thought, "We have given birth to a son, but he has become bad because of such a defect. What do we need this thing that is so despised by the world for?" So they drove him out of the house. After that, he settled in those unclean fecal sludge, eating and drinking feces and urine. After that, many people saw him eating unclean things. After seeing him, they said to each other, "This child eats and drinks feces and urine like a fox." So, his previous name disappeared, and because he ate and drank feces and urine like a fox, he was named Fox. After that, one day, he was seen by Kaśyapa Pūraṇa, and Kaśyapa Pūraṇa thought, "We are only practicing the deity of eating cow dung, this child is doing something more difficult than us. If this person were to be ordained here with me, then his merit would increase here." So he said to the child, "Child, are you practicing this as a deity, or is it just a habit?" The child said, "I don't even know what it is to practice as a deity, but I really like to eat feces, and I don't like food and drink." Kaśyapa Pūraṇa said, "Child, be ordained here with me and practice it as a deity, and from that basis your merit will increase greatly."
