The Dharma that was in accordance with that. Therefore, the Brahmin boy Gelpo, while sitting on that very seat, realized the truth and manifested the fruit of non-return. Having seen the truth, he rose from the seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, and with his palms joined together, bowed to where the Blessed One was, and said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable one, may I be able to go forth and receive full ordination in the well-spoken Dharma and discipline, and obtain the status of a monk? I also wish to practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Blessed One." Then, the Blessed One ordained him with the words, "Come, monk," and conferred full ordination upon him, and also prophesied for him. He also, through diligence, practice, and effort, abandoned all defilements and manifested the state of an Arhat. That Arhat, having become free from the desire of the three realms, was equal to gold and dung, possessed a mind like the sky and the palm of the hand, became cool like sandalwood soaked in water, shattered the shell of ignorance with wisdom, obtained wisdom, supernormal powers, and individual perfect knowledge, did not look to the gains, attachments, and honors of existence, and became an object of worship, reverence, and respect by the gods, including those with power and attendants.
