A person without a penis was born. When he grew up, he developed faith in the teachings of the Fully Awakened Buddha Kashyapa, so he asked his parents to allow him to become a monk, but because he appeared outside, it became a fault. The Blessed One Kashyapa granted him ordination through a messenger. When he was ordained through a messenger, that nun who had been ordained through a messenger went to him and said, "So-and-so by name, you have been ordained, be careful and diligent." Then, at that time, he abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of an Arhat. Having attained the state of an Arhat, he displayed miracles of burning, shining, raining, and lightning. After completely passing into the realm of Nirvana without remainder, the preceptress made offerings to his relics, built a stupa for the relics, and honored them with incense, powders, spices, and flowers. Having practiced celibacy for one lifetime, he made a prayer at the time of death: "Like this, I have practiced celibacy for one lifetime in the teachings of the Fully Awakened Buddha Kashyapa, but I have not attained any qualities. May I please the Brahmin boy prophesied by the Fully Awakened Buddha Kashyapa, and may I not displease him. Just as my disciple relied on the Fully Awakened Buddha Kashyapa to grant ordination through a messenger, may I also be granted ordination through a messenger by Shakyamuni, the supreme king of the Shakyas, and having become a monk in his teachings, may I abandon all defilements and directly realize the state of an Arhat." Monks, what do you think? The one who became a nun at that time was none other than the nun Dharma-given. There, she practiced celibacy for one lifetime and made a prayer at the time of death, may I become the Brahmin boy prophesied by the Fully Awakened Buddha Kashyapa.

May the earth-grown Bhagavan please me! May he not displease me! Having renounced in that very doctrine, abandoning all defilements, may I realize the state of an Arhat! Just as the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Light Protector, through reliance on my disciple, granted full ordination through an emissary, so too may Shakyamuni, the supreme among the kings of the Shakya clan, grant full ordination through an emissary, relying on me. Therefore, monks, having attained a state where I am completely equal to the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Light Protector, equal in power, equal in deeds, and equal in methods, this one has pleased me and has not displeased me, and having renounced in my own doctrine, abandoning all defilements, and realizing the state of an Arhat, relying on this one, I will grant full ordination to the nuns through an emissary. Then, the monks requested the Buddha Bhagavan: Venerable one, please look upon how this Dharma-giving nun, praised by many, has guarded the place of celibacy with great effort. The Bhagavan replied: Not only now, but also in the past, she was praised by many, listen to how she guarded the place of celibacy with great effort. Monks, in the past, in a bygone era, in the city of Varanasi (ancient Indian city, present-day Benares, dating back to the 6th century BCE), there reigned a king named Brahma-datta. At that time, a householder lived in Varanasi, who, due to circumstances, took a wife, and soon after, his wife became pregnant and, after nine or ten months, gave birth to a son. The boy was handsome, pleasing to the eye, and beautiful, and they held a grand birth celebration for him, naming him according to family tradition. He was raised and nurtured with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of ghee. When he grew up, he was taught writing, arithmetic, storytelling, playfulness, manual calculation, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, discernment of clothing, discernment of jewels, discernment of precious stones, discernment of incense, discernment of medicine, discernment of elephants, discernment of horses, and discernment of weapons. He became skilled in writing.

He abandoned his goods and shop and stayed only with her. Then, that householder thought: If he continues to be so infatuated, all the wealth and food will be exhausted, and he must be separated from this woman. So he said: Son, why do you need this woman? If you continue to stay like this and do not work, you will become poor when you are old. Son, as long as the four great elements of your body have strength, strive to accumulate wealth. Later, you will suffer because of your wife. Having said this, the householder prepared goods for business and sent the young man to another place. The young man also loaded goods on mules and donkeys, traveled through villages, cities, forest villages, and large places, and went to a distant place. He withered like cut green grass for his wife, and he thought: What way is there for me to meet her quickly? He kept thinking about this. At that time, in that mountain village, there was a carpenter who was skilled in making wooden crafts, and he knew a wooden craft that could fly into the sky, that could fly in the sky. When the young man heard about this, he immediately thought: I have found a way to go there. So he went to that craftsman and said: Hey, give me this wooden craft that can fly into the sky, and I will give you five hundred Karshapanas. That person said: I cannot give it to you permanently, you take it from me every day, go to make money, and then bring it back and return it to me. The young man said: I will do as you please. That person repaired the flying machine, taught him how to take off and return, and then gave it to him. Then, he rode on that flying machine, returned to his home, and enjoyed happiness with his wife.
