དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ལ་ནི་ཟས་དང་སྐོམ་ངན་པ་སྟོབས་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་ཕྱིས་དགེ་སློང་དེ་དག་གིས་ཞལ་ཏ་བྱེད་པ་དེ་ལ་བཤད་དེ། བཙུན་པ་བདག་ཅག་ཟས་དང་སྐོམ་ངན་པ་འདི་ལྟ་བུས་འཚོ་མི་ནུས་སོ། །དེས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་གི་མཐུ་ནི་དེ་ཁོ་ནར་ཟད་དེ། དེ་ལས་མི་ནུས་ཀྱིས་གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱེད་དེས་འཚོ་མི་ནུས་ན་ཁྱེད་བདག་ཅག་གིས་སྦྱིན་བདག་དག་ལ་བསྐུལ་ལ་འཚོ་བར་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་དེ་ཐོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་དགེ་སློང་དེ་དག་གིས་ཚོང་པ་དེ་དག་ལ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་དགེ་སློང་བདུན་ཁྲི་བདུན་སྟོང་གི་ཟས་དང་སྐོམ་སྦྱར་བར་ནུས་སམ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། ཚོང་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། བཙུན་པ་དག་བདག་ཅག་གིས་འཕགས་པ་ཞལ་ཏ་བགྱིད་པ་ལ་གསེར་དངུལ་མང་པོ་ཕུལ་ཏེ། གལ་ཏེ་འདི་ཙམ་གྱིས་འཚལ་ན་ཡང་ལེགས། གལ་ཏེ་མ་འཚལ་ན་ཡང་གསེར་དངུལ་གཞན་དབུལ་བར་འཚལ་ལོ་ཞེས་བགྱིས་ནས། ཅིའི་སླད་དུ་དེས་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཟས་དང་སྐོམ་ངན་པ་གསོལ་ཅེས་བྱས་ནས། ཚོང་པ་དེ་དག་སྡེ་སྣོད་གསུམ་པའི་ཐད་དུ་དོང་ནས་སྨྲས་པ། བཙུན་པ་བདག་ཅག་གིས་གལ་ཏེ་གསེར་དངུལ་འདི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འཚལ་ན་ནི་ལེགས། གལ་ཏེ་མ་འཚལ་ན་ཡང་གསེར་དངུལ་གཞན་དབུལ་ལོ་ཞེས་མ་བགྱིས་སམ། དེ་ཅིའི་སླད་དུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ལ་ཟས་དང་སྐོམ་ངན་པ་གསོལ་ཞེས་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་དེ་ཐོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ཞལ་ཏ་བྱེད་པ་དེ་སྐྱེངས་ནས་ཁྲོས་ཏེ་ཕྱིན་ཅད་དགེ་སློང་དེ་དག་གི་ཞལ་ཏ་བྱེད་དུ་མ་བཏུབ་བོ། །དེ་ནས་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། བཙུན་པ་བདག་ཅག་ཁྱོད་ལ་བརྟེན་ཏེ་དབྱར་གནས་པར་དམ་བཅས་ན་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཁྱོད་ཅང་མི་བྱེད་པར་འདུག །ཕྱིན་ཅད་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཡོ་བྱད་སྦྱར་བར་མ་དད་དམ་ཞེས་བྱས་པ་དང་དེ་ཁྲོས་ནས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ང་ཁོ་ནའི་དད་པས་བྱིན་པ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ལ་ང་ཉིད་དམའ་འབེབས་པར་བྱེད་པས་ནི་ཁྱེད་ཕྱི་སའི་འདམ་དུ་བྱིང་སྟེ་བཤང་གཅི་ཟ་བར་གྱུར་ཀྱང་སླའོ་ཞེས་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བསམས་པ། ཉོན་མོངས་པ་འདི་དམས་ཤིང་ཉམས་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། འདི་ལྟར་སློབ་པ་དང་མི་སློབ་པ་བདུན་ཁྲི་བདུན་སྟོང་ལ་ཚིག་རྩུབ་པོས་སྨྲས་ཀྱིས་མེད་ན་ད་ཡང་དེ་བས་ཆེས་དམས་ཤིང་ཉམས་པར་འགྱུར་ན་མ་ལེགས་ཀྱིས་ད་ནི་བདག་ཅག་གིས་འདི་ལ་ཅི་ཡང་སྨྲ་བར་མི་བྱའོ་སྙམ་ནས་ཅང་མི་ཟེར་བར་འདུག་གོ །དེ་ནས་ཕྱི་ཞིག་སྡེ་སྣོད་གསུམ་པ་དེ་འགྱོད་པ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ་དེས་དགེ་སློང་དེ་དག་ལ་བཟོད་པ་གསོལ་ནས། དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་ཅག་གིས་ནི་བཟོད་ན་ཁྱོད

对于比丘们，他施舍恶劣的食物和饮料。之后，那些比丘们对侍者说道：‘尊者，我们无法靠这种恶劣的食物和饮料为生。’ 他说：‘我的能力仅限于此，除此之外我无能为力。如果你们无法靠此为生，那么你们就去劝说施主们，靠他们为生吧。’ 听到这话后，比丘们立刻对那些商人说：‘你们能为七万七千名比丘准备食物和饮料吗？’ 商人们说：‘尊者们，我们向侍奉者圣者供奉了许多金银。如果这些足够，那就好。如果不够，我们还会供奉其他的金银。’ 他们接着问：‘他为什么给你们提供恶劣的食物和饮料呢？’ 那些商人走到三藏持有者面前，说道：‘尊者，我们不是说过，如果这些金银足够，那就好。如果不够，我们还会供奉其他的金银吗？ 那你为什么给比丘们提供恶劣的食物和饮料呢？’ 听到这话后，侍者感到羞愧和愤怒，从此不再敢为那些比丘们做侍奉了。 之后，比丘们对他说： ‘尊者，我们依靠你而发誓安居，为什么你却什么都不做呢？ 难道你不再相信为比丘们准备资具了吗？’ 他愤怒地说：‘你们享用我仅凭信心布施之物，却贬低我，还不如你们沉入粪便的泥潭里，吃屎尿去！’ 之后，比丘们心想：‘这个烦恼已经低劣和衰败了，如果不对这七万七千名有学和无学之人说粗暴的话，现在还会变得更加低劣和衰败，那就不好了，现在我们什么都不要对他说。’ 于是他们什么也没说，沉默不语。 之后有一天，三藏持有者生起了后悔之心，向那些比丘们请求宽恕。 那些比丘们说：‘我们宽恕你’

To the monks, he would give bad food and drink. Then later, those monks said to the attendant, 'Venerable one, we cannot live on such bad food and drink.' He said, 'My power is limited to that. I cannot do more than that. If you cannot live on that, then you should urge the patrons to live on it.' Then, as soon as they heard that, the monks said to those merchants, 'Can you provide food and drink for seventy-seven thousand monks?' The merchants said, 'Venerable ones, we have offered much gold and silver to the noble attendant. If this is enough, that is good. If it is not enough, we will offer other gold and silver.' Then they asked, 'Why does he give you bad food and drink?' Those merchants went to the holder of the three baskets and said, 'Venerable one, did we not say that if these gold and silver are enough, that is good. If it is not enough, we will offer other gold and silver? Why do you give the monks bad food and drink?' Then, as soon as he heard that, the attendant was ashamed and angry, and from then on he dared not attend to those monks. Then the monks said to him, 'Venerable one, we have vowed to stay in retreat relying on you, why are you doing nothing? Do you no longer believe in providing the monks with necessities?' He said angrily, 'You enjoy what is given by my faith alone, but you degrade me, it would be better for you to sink into the mud of excrement and eat shit and piss!' Then the monks thought, 'This affliction has become degraded and decayed. If we do not speak harsh words to these seventy-seven thousand learners and non-learners, it will become even more degraded and decayed, which would not be good. Now we should not say anything to him.' So they said nothing and remained silent. Then one day, the holder of the three baskets felt remorse and asked those monks for forgiveness. Those monks said, 'We forgive you.'
