Therefore, he himself, in other past lifetimes, has accumulated resources and possessed the necessary conditions. Like a flood, those actions that are bound to happen and will undoubtedly come to pass, because they have been done and accumulated, who else will experience those actions that he himself has done and accumulated? Monks, actions that have been done and accumulated will not mature in the external realm of earth, nor will they mature in the realms of water, fire, and wind. Virtuous and non-virtuous actions that have been done and accumulated will mature only in the aggregates, realms, and sources that have been taken. The actions of sentient beings, Even in hundreds of eons will not be lost. Once gathered, when the time is ripe, They will mature into fruit. Monks, in the past, in a bygone era, in a secluded village, there lived a wealthy householder, rich in possessions, enjoying great abundance, possessing vast and extensive holdings, endowed with the wealth of Vaishravana (梵文:Vaiśravaṇa), comparable to the wealth of Vaishravana. He took a wife when the circumstances were right, and together they played, rejoiced, and enjoyed themselves. Later, his wife became pregnant, and after nine or ten months, she gave birth to a boy. They held a grand birth celebration for him and named him according to family tradition, raising him with milk, yogurt, butter, clarified butter, and the essence of clarified butter. Then, when he grew up, he was taught writing, arithmetic, storytelling, laughter, manual calculation, addition, subtraction, multiplication, cloth appraisal, gem appraisal, jewel appraisal, spice appraisal, medicine appraisal, elephant appraisal, horse appraisal, and weapon appraisal. He became proficient in writing, skilled in reading, intelligent, capable in his actions, upright in mind, and well-versed in the eight types of appraisal. That householder was fond of giving, and in his house, he gave to ascetics, Brahmins, practitioners, wanderers, the poor, and beggars, performing virtuous deeds and accumulating merit. Later, that householder died, and after his death, his wife continued to manage the household, not interrupting the tradition of giving as before. Then, the son said: Mother
