These two children, through the roots of virtue, the generation of Bodhicitta, and the complete offering of the Dharma of generosity, will not fall into lower realms for thirteen kalpas. For thirteen kalpas, they will be reborn among gods and humans, and after wandering in samsara, in their final existence and final place, they will obtain a human birth and become ordained. Without a teacher or secret instructions, they will realize the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and thus manifest the Bodhi of a Pratyekabuddha. One of them will become a Pratyekabuddha named 'Drum Sound,' and the other will become one named 'Fearless.' This is the Dharma of generosity for both of them. The story called 'Jewel Ocean' is as follows: The foundation was laid when the Buddha was residing in Jeta Grove in Shravasti. At that time, in Shravasti, there lived a wealthy householder, rich in possessions, enjoying great prosperity, with vast and extensive holdings, possessing the wealth of Vaishravana, and rivaling the wealth of Vaishravana. Due to opportune circumstances, he took a wife, and together they played, rejoiced, and indulged in pleasure. Later, his wife became pregnant. When she became pregnant, she was adorned with all kinds of ornaments, and in all the mansions, umbrellas, banners, and streamers were hoisted. Various flowers were scattered, and fragrant water was sprinkled. She sat on a bed, surrounded by a retinue of women. Then, the householder thought, 'Has my wife been possessed by some kind of spirit?' So he consulted fortune-tellers. The fortune-tellers said, 'This is not possession by a spirit, but the power of the sentient being residing in her womb.' Then, after nine or ten months, she gave birth to a boy who was handsome, beautiful to behold, adorned with all kinds of ornaments, and unstained by the impurities of the womb, the impurities of flesh, and the impurities of blood. Those women wanted to bathe him, and when they tried to remove his ornaments, other ornaments appeared. Even if they removed and discarded them, others would appear. Then the mother said, 'These ornaments are born from his merit, do not remove them, but bathe him with the ornaments.' Then,

Those women, adorned and washed, placed him on the bed. That person's bed disappeared, and a divine bed appeared. In that very building, a divine palace was also erected, with parasols, victory banners, and streamers raised, various flowers scattered, and sprinkled with fragrant water. The pillow of the bed inside the palace also became a divine offering pillar made of gold and adorned with various jewels. From beside that pillar, four large treasures filled with various jewels appeared, and even if a hundred or a thousand were taken from them, they would not appear to diminish or increase. Then, as soon as the parents saw it, they became very happy. Then, they celebrated his birth extensively and began to name the boy, saying, "When this boy was born, this house became filled with various jewels like an ocean. Therefore, let this boy's name be called Yik Tso (དབྱིག་མཚོ།, Treasure Ocean)." Then, the boy Yik Tso was entrusted to eight nurses: two to hold him, two to nurse him, two to clean his dirt, and two to play with him. These eight nurses nurtured him with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, the essence of butter, and women's clothes as beautiful as peacock feathers, carefully, and he grew vigorously like a lotus in a lake. Wherever he went, non-humans would spread unused, long, fine cotton cloths on the ground for him. Various flowers were also scattered on the ground. Then, when he grew up, they taught him writing, arithmetic, storytelling, manual calculation, divination, hiding, displaying, examining clothes, examining gems, examining jewels, examining incense, examining medicine, examining elephants, examining horses, and examining weapons. He became proficient in writing, skilled in reading, intelligent, clear in affairs, broad-minded, and proficient in eight types of examination. Then, his father built houses for residing in winter, spring, and summer, as well as gardens, and those were also divine objects.

it became. Umbrellas and victory banners were raised, and banners were hung. Various flowers were scattered, and sprinklings of scented water were applied. Then, when he was able to enjoy desires, goddesses appeared. They sat on top of the palace and made music only with women. They played and rejoiced, enjoying the fruits of their own merit. Then, one day, he became very happy with the Buddha, very happy with the Dharma, and very happy with the Sangha. He thought: I have completely enjoyed the enjoyments of gods and humans. Now I should go forth into the well-spoken Vinaya. In order to completely cross over the rivers and completely escape from bondage, I must strive, practice, and persevere. Thinking this, he also gave alms and made merit. He made many poor people rich, and then he went forth into the teachings of the Blessed One. After he went forth, whichever direction he vowed to dwell in, a bed of the gods would appear in that direction. Wherever he went, non-humans would spread long, unused linen cloths on the ground. Various flowers would also be scattered on the ground, and he became ashamed of this. The Blessed One said: From the depths of your heart, generate a mind that does not look at it, and everything will disappear. Then, as soon as he heard this, he immediately generated a mind that did not look at everything, and everything disappeared. Then, through effort, practice, and perseverance, he abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of an Arhat. He became an Arhat, free from the desire of the three realms, equal to gold and dung, possessing a mind like the sky and the palm of his hand, cool like sandalwood soaked in water, destroying the eggshell with wisdom, obtaining wisdom, supernormal powers, and individual self-awareness, turning his back on the gains, attachments, and respect of existence, and becoming an object of offering, remembrance, and reverence by the gods with power and attendants. Then, the monk.
