Then, by the power of Sudhana's merit, those Utpala flowers emerged upwards from that water pot. Then Sudhana saw those flowers and said to that girl: Give me five hundred gold coins, and give me these Utpala flowers. That girl said: At that time you did not marry me, do you want Utpala flowers now? I am not poor. After saying this, she again said to the Brahmin boy Sudhana: What will you do with these? Sudhana said: I will use them to make offerings to the Blessed One Buddha.
