Here, they carried begging bowls and water vessels. Here it is said that the Tathagata taught with the word "Come." They shaved their heads and wore robes. The Buddha bestowed clothes with his intention, and among the people, the senses were greatly pacified. Then, the Bhagavan prophesied to them. They also, through diligence, practice, and effort, abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of Arhat. These Arhats, having become free from the desire of the three realms, were equal to gold and cow dung, possessed an equal mind like the sky and the palm of the hand, and became cool like sandalwood soaked in water. They shattered the shell of ignorance with wisdom, attained wisdom, supernormal powers, and individual perfect knowledge, and turned their backs on worldly gain, attachment, and reverence. They became a place of worship, remembrance, and respect for the gods and their retinues. After attaining the state of Arhat, they thought: "Are there any others we can tame?" They saw that their relatives could be tamed. Having seen this, they went to them, taught the Dharma, and established them in perfect faith, guided them to take refuge and uphold the precepts, and made them correctly practice giving and the distribution of gifts. Among these people, there was one cowherd girl who did not believe, and because she could not go to see the Bhagavan, the cowherds forcibly seized her and brought her before the Bhagavan. That cowherd girl saw from afar the Buddha Bhagavan, whose body was well adorned and radiant with the thirty-two major marks of a great being, like a body of fire, like flames fueled by butter, like a lamp placed in a golden vessel, like a stupa adorned with various precious jewels. She saw the Buddha Bhagavan, who was bright with wisdom, immaculate, and pure. Having seen this, great joy arose. Just like the feeling of a sentient being born from the cause of accumulating virtuous roots when first seeing the Buddha, even the feeling of practicing the mind of tranquility for twelve years was not

Therefore, such happiness will not arise. Having seen this, joy arose, and looking at each other, if we were to make offerings to the Bhagavan, I thought, 'Where shall I get flowers?' Thinking this, not far from him, he saw some Koshataka flowers, and he took those flowers, went to the presence of the Bhagavan, and offered the Koshataka flowers to the Bhagavan. He bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan, and sat before the Bhagavan to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Bhagavan thought, 'This girl is short-lived and will die before long.' Having understood this in his heart, the Bhagavan taught her the Dharma that was appropriate for her. Then, she also realized that the Bhagavan's teachings were finished, and she left from the presence of the Bhagavan. Not long after she left, the great elements became imbalanced, and she died with joy in her heart towards the Bhagavan, and having passed away, she was born in the heavenly realm. As soon as a son or daughter of the gods is born, by nature, three thoughts arise: 'From where did I die, where was I born, and by what karma was I born?' Then, he saw someone offering Koshataka flowers to the Bhagavan and being delighted by it, and he thought, 'It is not my way to go to see and serve the Bhagavan only after a long time. I will go to see and serve the Bhagavan without waiting too long.' Then, adorned with swaying earrings and bracelets, the body decorated with necklaces and belts, wearing a crown adorned with various jewels, the body anointed with saffron, Tamala leaves, and Dgaka, etc., that person of noble appearance, that very night, filled a vessel with heavenly flowers, Utpala flowers, lotuses, water lilies, white lotuses, and Mandarava flowers, went to where the Bhagavan was, and having arrived, offered the heavenly flowers, Utpala flowers, lotuses, water lilies, white lotuses, and Mandarava flowers to the Bhagavan, bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan, and sat before the Bhagavan to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Bhagavan understood his thoughts, habits, and eleme
