Then, when she realizes that she is pregnant, in order to take care of the child, she is placed on the top floor of the palace, providing warm utensils when it is cold, and cooling utensils when it is hot, as well as the food recommended by the doctor, not eating too bitter food, not eating too sour food, not eating too salty food, not eating too sweet food, not eating too spicy food, not eating too astringent food, but eating food without bitter, sour, salty, sweet, spicy, and astringent tastes, and wearing necklaces and Semosdos (a kind of ornament), the whole body is gorgeously decorated, like a heavenly girl walking in a happy garden, from one throne to another, from small throne to small throne, without touching the ground, and not hearing any unpleasant sounds. Then, when she is nine or ten months pregnant, she gives birth to a son, who is handsome, pleasing to the eye, beautiful, and has a good complexion, like the stamen of a lotus. At that time, people held a grand birth celebration and discussed what name to give the boy. They said, "This boy's complexion is like the stamen of a lotus, so we will name this boy Lotus Color." Later, the Lotus Color boy was raised with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of ghee, and grew vigorously like a lotus in a lake. Later, when he grew up, he learned writing, arithmetic, storytelling, manual calculation, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, identification of clothing, identification of gems, identification of treasures, identification of spices, identification of medicines, identification of elephants, identification of horses, and identification of weapons. He was proficient in writing, good at reading, intelligent and wise.

于事业明晰，心调顺，于八种观察善巧。那位居士的亲属是具寿近裔，童子莲花色依止他，于世尊之教法获得信心。他禀告父母，在具寿近裔处出家并受具足戒。之后，他在未经堪布允许的情况下，因某事离开了那座山间静修地。他逐渐游历各地，最终到达名为劫坏的城市。在劫坏城，他住在驴子精舍。之后，具寿莲花色早晨穿好裙子和法衣，手持钵盂，前往劫坏城乞食。具寿不知该地的风俗习惯，逐渐乞食，走到了一位妓女的家。那位妓女身材姣好，外貌迷人，美丽动人，沉迷于情欲。然后，那位妇女从远处看到了具寿莲花色。看到后，她被强烈的欲望之箭击中，被欲望所控制，毫不犹豫地站起来，走到具寿莲花色所在的地方，走到后说道：圣者，请坐在这铺设好的座位上。然后，具寿莲花色心想：难道这是某位女居士吗？想着便坐在了铺设好的座位上。那位妇女因欲望的驱使而无法忍受，对莲花色说道：尊者，您也相貌堂堂，青春焕发，我也肢体美好，请与我同寝。听到这话后，具寿莲花色立即捂住双耳坐着，说道：我不会做这种罪恶之事，我不敢败坏世尊的教法。那位妇女说道：您为何要遭受如此损害？如果您不想要这些欲望，为何要来到妓女的家？莲花色说道：我刚来，不了解这里的风俗习惯，所以才来到这里，但我不是为了追求欲望而来，这不是我该做的事。

He was clear about his work, had a disciplined mind, and was skilled in the eight kinds of examination. The relative of that householder was the venerable Nearsde, and the boy Lotus Color relied on him and gained faith in the teachings of the Blessed One. He asked his parents and went forth to the venerable Nearsde himself and was fully ordained. Then, one day, without asking the abbot, he left that mountain retreat for some reason. He gradually traveled around and eventually arrived at a city called Ruin. In the city of Ruin, he stayed in the Donkey's Monastery. Then, the venerable Lotus Color, in the morning, put on his skirt and robes, and carrying his bowl, went to the city of Ruin for alms. The venerable one, not knowing the customs of the place, gradually went for alms and came to the house of a prostitute. That prostitute was beautiful, pleasing to look at, beautiful, and addicted to lust. Then, that woman saw the venerable Lotus Color from afar. Having seen him, she was struck by a strong arrow of desire, and being controlled by desire, she stood up without hesitation and went to where the venerable Lotus Color was, and having gone, she said: Noble one, please sit on this prepared seat. Then, the venerable Lotus Color thought: Is this a female lay practitioner? Thinking so, he sat on the prepared seat. That woman, unable to bear the force of desire, said to Lotus Color: Venerable, you are also handsome and full of youth, and I am also beautiful in all my limbs, please sleep with me. As soon as he heard that, the venerable Lotus Color immediately covered his ears and sat down, saying: I will not do such a sinful thing, I dare not destroy the teachings of the Blessed One. That woman said: Why do you suffer such harm? If you do not want these desires, why did you come to the house of a prostitute? Lotus Color said: I have just arrived and do not know the customs of this place, that is why I came here, but I did not come to pursue desires, this is not what I should do.

不应该那样做。她说道：即使你不愿意，我也会用咒力强迫你与我同眠。听到这话，具寿莲花色惊恐地从座位上站起来，走出房门，没有去乞食，直接去了寺庙。因为他离开后，那个妓女被强烈的欲望之火所焚烧，于是找来一个有咒术的下贱女人，把事情的经过详细地告诉了她，并说道：你如果能让我和那个比丘相见，我就会给你很多黄金。然后，那个下贱女人答应说：我会照办的。于是，那个下贱女人让那个妓女穿上所有的装饰品，把房子装饰得像神殿一样，然后用牛粪涂抹地面，摆设好香、花和祭品，点燃火，用咒语加持芥子，投入火中。具寿也被咒语的力量牵引，回到了妓女的家中。然后，那个下贱女人看到具寿莲花色来到了那个房子里。看到后说道：尊者，你来这个房子里，只有两件事可做，要么和这个妓女一起睡觉，要么跳进这火里。听到这话，具寿莲花色心想：如来在世间极其难得，就像优昙婆罗花一样，获得人身和生于中土也很难，所以跳进火里是更好的选择，与她相处是不对的。于是脱下衣服，交给那个下贱女人，说道：喂，把这些衣服带到寺庙里，供养给我的梵行道友们。下贱女人说道：尊者，你要做什么？莲花色说道：我决定跳进火里。听到他的话，那个下贱女人很不高兴，心想：唉，我因为贫穷，竟然对这样的供养处做坏事，我不应该让这样的清净众生不高兴。于是，她停止了仪式。

It should not be done that way. She said, "Even if you don't want to, I will use magic to force you to sleep with me." Hearing this, the venerable Padmavarna was frightened and stood up from his seat, went out of the room, and went straight to the temple without begging for alms. Because after he left, that prostitute was burned by the intense fire of desire, so she found a lowly woman with magic power, told her the whole story in detail, and said, "If you can let me meet that bhikkhu, I will give you a lot of gold." Then, that lowly woman promised, "I will do it." So, that lowly woman had that prostitute put on all her ornaments, decorated the house like a temple, then smeared the ground with cow dung, arranged incense, flowers, and offerings, lit a fire, blessed mustard seeds with mantras, and threw them into the fire. The venerable one was also drawn by the power of the mantra and returned to the prostitute's house. Then, that lowly woman saw the venerable Padmavarna come to that house. Seeing him, she said, "Venerable, there are only two things to do when you come to this house, either sleep with this prostitute, or jump into this fire." Hearing this, the venerable Padmavarna thought, "The Tathagata is extremely rare in the world, like the udumbara flower, and it is also difficult to obtain a human body and be born in the central land, so jumping into the fire is a better choice, and it is not right to be with her." So he took off his clothes, gave them to that lowly woman, and said, "Hey, take these clothes to the temple and offer them to my fellow practitioners of pure conduct." The lowly woman said, "Venerable, what are you going to do?" Padmavarna said, "I have decided to jump into the fire." Hearing his words, that lowly woman was very unhappy, thinking, "Alas, because of my poverty, I am actually doing bad things to such objects of offering, I should not make such pure beings unhappy." So, she stopped the ritual.
