He took a wife because of circumstances, and together they played and rejoiced, indulging in pleasure. Later, his wife became pregnant. When she became pregnant, she was adorned with all kinds of ornaments, and all the pavilions were hung with umbrellas, banners, and flags. Various flowers were scattered, and fragrant water was sprinkled everywhere. She sat on the bed, surrounded by a group of women. Then, the householder thought: Could it be that my wife has been possessed by some kind of spirit? So he asked fortune-tellers to divine. The fortune-tellers said: This is not spirit possession, but the power of the being in her womb. After nine or ten months had passed, she gave birth to a boy who was handsome, pleasing to look at, beautiful, adorned with all kinds of ornaments, and not stained by the dirt of the womb, vernix, or blood. Those women wanted to bathe him, and when they took off his ornaments, other ornaments appeared. Even if they took them off and threw them away, other ornaments would still appear. The mother said: These ornaments are born from the merit of this child, do not take them off, but bathe him with the ornaments on. After that, those women bathed him with the ornaments on and placed him on the bed. At that moment, the original bed disappeared, and a bed of the gods appeared.
