ཏོ། །བཙུན་པ་པད་མའི་མདོག་གིས་ལས་ཅི་ཞིག་བགྱིས་ན་ལས་དེའི་རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པས་ཕྱུག་ཅིང་ནོར་མང་ལ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ཆེ་བའི་རིགས་སུ་སྐྱེས་ལ། གཟུགས་བཟང་ཞིང་བལྟ་ན་སྡུག་ལ་མཛེས་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ་པད་མའི་སྙིང་པོའི་མདོག་འདྲ་བར་གྱུར་ལགས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། སྨོན་ལམ་གྱི་དབང་ལས་གྱུར་ཏོ། །བཙུན་པ་འདིས་གང་དུ་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་ལགས། དགེ་སློང་དག་སྔོན་བྱུང་བ་འདས་པའི་དུས་ན་རི་ཁྲོད་ཅིག་ན་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བའི་སྲུངས་མ་ཞིག་གནས་པ་དེའི་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་མེ་ཏོག་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། བསིལ་གྲིབ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། རྫིང་བུ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཏེ། རྫིང་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་མེ་ཏོག་ཨུད་པ་ལ་དང་པད་མ་དང་ཀུ་མུ་ད་དང་། པད་མ་དཀར་པོས་གང་བ་དང་ངང་པ་དང་ངུར་པ་དང་ཟལ་མོ་རྣམས་སྐད་འབྱིན་པ་དང་ལྡན་པར་འདུག་གོ །སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མི་བཞུགས་པའི་ཚེ། རང་སངས་རྒྱས་སྡུག་ཅིང་ཕོངས་པ་རྣམས་ལ་སྙིང་བརྩེ་བ། བས་མཐའི་གནས་མལ་གྱིས་འཚོ་བ། བསེ་རུ་ལྟ་བུའི་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཡོན་གནས་གཅིག་པུ་རྣམས་འཇིག་རྟེན་དུ་འབྱུང་སྟེ། རང་སངས་རྒྱས་གཅིག་གིས་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་དེར་གནས་བཅས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བའི་སྲུངས་མ་དེ་ནང་པར་སྔར་ལངས་ཏེ་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་དེར་སོང་བ་ལས། ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བའི་སྲུངས་མ་དེས་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་དེ་ ཀླུའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལུས་བསྐྱིལ་ཏེ་དེ་གཉིད་ཀྱིས་ལོག་པ་བཞིན་དུ་སྐྱིལ་མོ་ཀྲུང་བཅས་ཏེ་འདུག་པ་མཐོང་ངོ་། །མཐོང་ནས་ཀྱང་མཆོག་ཏུ་དགའ་བ་སྐྱེས་སོ། །དགའ་བ་སྐྱེས་ནས་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་དེ་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་དེ་ཉིད་དུ་བཤོས་གསོལ་ནས་ན་བཟའ་ཡང་ཕུལ་ཏེ། མེ་ཏོག་ཨུད་པ་ལ་དང་པད་མ་དང་ཀུ་མུ་ད་དང་པད་མ་དཀར་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་གཏོར་ནས་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པ། ཀྱེ་མ་དགེ་བའི་རྩ་བ་འདིས་བདག་གང་དང་གང་དུ་སྐྱེ་བ་དེ་དང་དེར་ཕྱུག་ཅིང་ནོར་མང་ལ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ཆེ་བའི་རིགས་སུ་སྐྱེ་བར་ཤོག་ཅིག །གཟུགས་བཟང་ཞིང་བལྟ་ན་སྡུག་ལ་མཛེས་པར་ཡང་གྱུར་ཅིག །བདག་གི་ལུས་མདོག་པད་མའི་སྙིང་པོའི་ཁ་དོག་ལྟ་བུར་གྱུར་ཅིག །འདི་བས་ཀྱང་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་འཕགས་པའི་སྟོན་པ་མཉེས་པར་བྱེད་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག །མི་མཉེས་པར་བྱེད་པར་མ་གྱུར་ཅིག །ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་དག་ཀྱང་ཐོབ་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག་ཅེས་བྱས་སོ། །དགེ་སློང་དག་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། དེའི་ཚེ་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བའི་སྲུངས་མར་གྱུར་པ་དེ་ནི་པད་མའི་མདོག་འདི་ཉིད་ཡིན་ཏེ། དེས་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་དེ་ལ་བ

尊者莲花色做了什么业，以至于那个业的异熟，让他出生于富裕、财富众多、受用丰厚的种姓中，并且相貌端庄、悦意、美丽，变得像莲花心（莲花的中心部分）的颜色一样呢？ 世尊说：是由于发愿的力量所致。 尊者在哪里发愿的呢？ 比丘们，过去世的时候，在一个寂静的地方，有一个园林守护神居住，他的园林具备花朵圆满、果实圆满、凉荫圆满、水池圆满。那些水池里也充满了乌巴拉花、莲花、姑母达花和白莲花，并且有天鹅、鸿雁和赤麻鸭发出鸣叫声。 在没有佛陀世尊住世的时候，对于贫穷困苦的人们心怀慈悲，以边地的住所为生计，像犀牛角一样是世间唯一的应供处的人们会出现在世间。一位独觉佛就住在那个园林里。 之后，那个园林守护神第二天早上早早起来，去了那个园林。园林守护神看到那位独觉佛像龙王一样盘绕着身体，像睡眠一样盘腿而坐。 看到后，生起了极大的欢喜。生起欢喜后，就在那个园林里供养了那位独觉佛食物，也供养了衣服，并且用乌巴拉花、莲花、姑母达花和白莲花等花朵撒向他，并发愿说：哎呀，愿我凭借这个善根，无论在何处转生，都能出生于富裕、财富众多、受用丰厚的种姓中！愿我相貌端庄、悦意、美丽！愿我的身体颜色像莲花心的颜色一样！愿我比这更加殊胜地令导师欢喜！不要令导师不欢喜！愿我也能获得像这样的功德之聚！ 比丘们，你们怎么想？当时的那个园林守护神就是现在的莲花色，他曾对那位独觉佛

O venerable one, what deed did Padma'i Dog (Lotus Color) perform that, as a result of that deed, he was born into a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family, and became handsome, pleasing to behold, beautiful, and like the color of the heart of a lotus? The Blessed One said: It is due to the power of aspiration. Where did this venerable one make aspirations? Monks, in the past, in a solitary place, there lived a guardian of a pleasure garden. That pleasure garden was endowed with abundant flowers, abundant fruits, abundant cool shade, and abundant ponds. Those ponds were filled with Utpala flowers, lotuses, Kumuda flowers, and white lotuses, and were filled with swans, geese, and ruddy shelducks making sounds. When the Buddha, the Blessed One, was not dwelling there, self-enlightened Buddhas, compassionate to the poor and destitute, living in remote places, like rhinoceros horns, the sole objects of veneration in the world, would appear in the world. One self-enlightened Buddha took up residence in that pleasure garden. Then, the guardian of the pleasure garden arose early the next morning and went to that pleasure garden. The guardian of the pleasure garden saw that self-enlightened Buddha sitting cross-legged, like the king of nagas coiling his body, as if he were asleep. Having seen him, he felt exceedingly joyful. Having felt joyful, he offered food to that self-enlightened Buddha in that very pleasure garden, and also offered clothing. He scattered Utpala flowers, lotuses, Kumuda flowers, and white lotuses, and made the aspiration: Alas, may I, by this root of virtue, be born in whatever place I am born, into a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family! May I also become handsome, pleasing to behold, and beautiful! May the color of my body become like the color of the heart of a lotus! May I please the teacher even more excellently than this! May I not displease the teacher! May I also obtain such a collection of qualities! Monks, what do you think? The guardian of the pleasure garden at that time was none other than this Padma'i Dog (Lotus Color). He had
