The householder said: If you two also wish to go forth, you two go forth first, and after that I will go forth, and after saying that, the householder took the two wives to the nunnery and entrusted them to the nuns. The nuns also ordained the two and gave them full ordination. After the two had gone forth, the householder also gave various gifts and performed various virtuous deeds, and then went forth into the teachings of the Blessed One Kashyapa Buddha. After he went forth, he studied the three pitakas and became a preacher of the Dharma with wisdom and confidence in liberation, and he obtained robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies. The two nuns, after going forth, became quarrelsome and spoke evil words. One of the two said to the nuns the word called "inferior woman." One said the word called "prostitute." Then the monk stopped the two from quarreling and put them in charge of giving and distributing alms. Later, the monk offered a meal to the Sangha of monks, headed by the Buddha, and also paid homage to the stupas of hair and nails, and made the aspiration: Alas! By this root of virtue, wherever I am born, may I be born into a wealthy and rich family with great enjoyment! May I also be of good form, pleasing to look at, and beautiful! May I please the Buddha, the Blessed One, the Brahmin boy who was prophesied by the perfectly complete Buddha Kashyapa! May I not displease him! The one who became a monk at that time is this very lotus-colored one. The two who became nuns at that time are these two nuns. That monk offered food to the Buddha and the seven virtuous monks, and having paid homage to the stupas of hair and nails, due to the ripening of that karma of making prayers, he was born into a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family. Monks, I have attained the same perfect enlightenment as the Buddha Kashyapa, with the same power, the same deeds, and the same skillful means. This one has pleased me and has not displeased me, and having been ordained in my own teaching, he has abandoned all defilements and realized the state of an Arhat. Those two nuns made a prayer there: "May we two, relying on this one, be able to please the Buddha Bhagavan, and may we not displease him. May we be ordained in that very teaching, abandon all defilements, and realize the state of an Arhat." Therefore, these two, relying on this one, have now pleased me and have not displeased me, and having been ordained in my own teaching, they have abandoned all defilements and realized the state of an Arhat. Those two had said to many nuns, one saying the word "low-born woman," and the other saying the word "prostitute," due to the ripening of that karma, one was born into a low-born family, and one became a prostitute.
