Monks, if I wish to abide in a mind filled with loving-kindness, without enmity, without hostility, without harm, expansive, vast, without duality, immeasurable, having cultivated it exceedingly well, focusing on one direction, pervading and filling it completely, and abiding thus, and similarly in the second direction, similarly in the third direction, similarly in the fourth direction, above, below, and across, in all ways, in all these worlds, with a mind filled with loving-kindness, without enmity, without hostility, without harm, expansive, vast, without duality, immeasurable, having cultivated it exceedingly well, focusing on one direction, pervading and filling it completely, and abiding thus, monks, I can also abide in such a dwelling for a day, a night, or a day and night, or for two days, three days, or even seven days. Monks, if I want to experience various realms of magical power, I can experience such wisdom and vision: I can become many from one, and become one from many, and appear and also disappear. I can go directly through walls, go directly through fences, and go through mountains without obstruction with my body, just like a bird in the sky. I can also emerge and dive on the ground, just like a bird. I can even grasp and rub these two moons and suns, which are so magically powerful, so mighty, and so glorious, with my hands. I can even control the Brahma world with my body. Monks, if the monk Light Increase also wants to experience various realms of magical power, the monk Light Increase can also experience such wisdom and vision: he can become many from one, and become one from many, and appear and disappear. He can go directly through walls, go directly through fences, and go through mountains without obstruction with his body, just like a bird in the sky. He can also emerge and dive on the ground, just like in water. He can walk on water without sinking, just like walking on solid ground. He can also sit cross-legged in the sky, just like a winged bird. He can even grasp and rub these two moons and suns, which are so magically powerful, so mighty, and so glorious, with his hands. He can even control the Brahma world with his body. Monks, I have a pure divine ear, surpassing human hearing, and can hear the voices of both humans and non-humans.
