Having realized the fruit of entering the stream, the householder, having seen the truth, rose from his seat, bared one shoulder of his upper garment, and, with his palms joined, bowed to where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, relying on the Blessed One, I have been freed from hell, animals, and hungry ghosts. Please allow me to walk among gods and humans. The oceans of blood and tears have been dried up. The mountains of bones have been moved. The gates of evil destinies have been closed, and the gates of heaven and liberation have been opened. The afflictions that have been habitual for a long time have been exhausted, and have become peaceful, abandoned, and relinquished. Blessed One, please allow me to receive from me robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies for as long as I live, together with the Sangha of monks." The Buddha instructed, "For the benefit of other householders, it is also necessary to do, let you go." The Blessed One returned. After the Blessed One returned, the householder's son thought: "I should give up the household life and become ordained," and so he informed his parents. He went to where the Blessed One was, and upon arriving, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, bared one shoulder of his upper garment, and, with his palms joined, bowed to where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One: "Venerable One, if I can be ordained and receive full ordination in the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya, and obtain the status of a monk, I would also like to practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Blessed One." Then, the Blessed One ordained him with the words, "Come, monk," and conferred full ordination, and also gave instructions to him. He also, through diligence, practice, and effort, abandoned all afflictions, and realized the state of an Arhat, that Arhat having become free from the desire of the three realms, possessing a mind that is equal to gold and dung, similar to the sky and the palm of the hand, having become as cool as sandalwood soaked in water, having destroyed the shell of the egg with wisdom, having obtained wisdom, supernormal powers, and individual perfect knowledge, and being free from the gains and attachments of existence.

不顾及尊敬，有权势和近侍的诸神都供养、忆念和恭敬赞叹他。然后，众比丘向释迦牟尼佛禀告说：尊者世尊，这位施主有六个儿子，各自持有不同的见解，彼此争论不休，只有最小的弟弟能使他们的见解达成一致。请您看看，他们也都已在世尊的教法下出家，断除了一切烦恼，亲自证得了阿罗汉果位。世尊开示说：不仅是现在如此，过去世时，这六兄弟也是彼此不和，只有这个最小的弟弟能使他们达成一致。而且，他也使他们都在仙人处出家，生起了四禅和五神通，你们听着。比丘们，过去世时，中部地区的七个国王各自在自己的国家为王，他们彼此不和，时常导致许多百姓丧生。后来，迦尸国的国王梵授生起一个念头：我该用什么方法来调解这些太阳下的国王呢？当时，迦尸国的国王梵授的领地里，在一个苦行之处，住着一位具有五神通的仙人，他具有强大的神通力和威力。于是，国王梵授心想：如果我委托那位仙人，他一定能调解他们。于是，他前往仙人居住的地方，顶礼仙人的双足，说道：这六位太阳下的国王彼此不和，时常导致许多百姓丧生。因此，您应该调解他们。然后，那位仙人没有对迦尸国的国王梵授说什么，表示默许。于是，迦尸国的国王梵授知道仙人默许了，便顶礼仙人的双足，然后离开了。后来，六位国王集结了四种军队，来到了波罗奈国，所有的城市……

Please look, they have all renounced in the Buddha's teachings, abandoned all defilements, and personally attained the Arhat state." The Buddha said: "Not only now, but also in the past, these six brothers were also discordant with each other, only this youngest brother could bring them into agreement. Moreover, he also made them all renounce at the hermit, generated the four dhyanas and five superknowledges, listen to that. Monks, in the past, in a past time, seven kings of the central region were kings in their respective countries, they were discordant with each other, often causing many people to die. Later, the king Brahma-given of the Kashi country had a thought: What method should I use to reconcile all these kings under the sun? At that time, in the territory of the king Brahma-given of the Kashi country, in a place of asceticism, there lived a hermit with five superknowledges, who had great magical powers and power. Then, King Brahma-given thought: If I entrust that hermit, he will surely be able to reconcile them. So, he went to the place where the hermit lived, prostrated at the hermit's feet, and said: These six kings under the sun are all discordant with each other, often causing many people to die. Therefore, you should reconcile them all." Then, that hermit did not say anything to King Brahma-given of Kashi, indicating his consent. Then, King Brahma-given of Kashi knew that the hermit had acquiesced without saying anything, so he prostrated at the hermit's feet and left. Later, the six kings gathered an army of four divisions and arrived in the country of Varanasi, all the cities...

军队的队伍装备四种军队后环绕着安坐。之后，释迦国王梵天赐予将那位仙人召唤来，听到之后，仙人立即从那个地方腾空而起，前往那六位国王所在之处。之后，刚一见到他，那六位刹帝利种姓的国王都对那位仙人非常欢喜。欢喜之后，前往仙人所在之处，抵达后，礼拜双足，为了听闻佛法而在面前安坐。之后，那位仙人为他们开示佛法，让他们全部和解。他们和解之后，在那位仙人面前生起了想要出家的心。之后，他们互相商议，前往各自的国土，让各自的儿子继承王位，布施财物，行持善业，在那位仙人面前出家。他们在那里出家后，生起了四禅和五神通。诸位比丘，你们怎么想？那时成为仙人，安住于菩萨行持的，就是我本人。那时互相不和的六位国王，就是现在这六位互相争论不休的兄弟。 那时成为梵天赐予国王的那位，就是这个最小的弟弟。那时也是那位仙人调解了那些不和之人，让他们也出家了，生起了四禅和五神通。现在，他也使这六位兄弟互相之间持有不同见解的人们，见解达成一致。他们也出家后，断除了所有烦恼，现证了阿罗汉果。之后，众比丘向世尊请教：世尊，这位拥有儿子和仆从的施主做了什么业，以那样的业成熟，出生于富裕、财富众多、受用丰厚的种姓，而且世尊您也被这些人取悦，没有使您不悦，七个儿子也出家后，断除了所有烦恼，现证了阿罗汉果。

Then, as soon as they saw him, those six kings of the Kshatriya caste were very pleased with that hermit. Being pleased, they went to where the hermit was. Having arrived, they prostrated at his feet and sat before him to listen to the Dharma. Then, that hermit taught them the Dharma and made them all reconcile. After they reconciled, they developed the desire to become monks in the presence of that hermit. Then, they consulted each other and went to their respective countries. After installing their respective sons as kings, giving alms, and performing virtuous deeds, they became monks in the presence of that hermit. After they became monks there, they developed the four concentrations and the five supernormal powers. Monks, what do you think? At that time, the one who became a hermit, abiding in the conduct of a Bodhisattva, was none other than myself. At that time, those six kings who were in discord with each other were none other than these six brothers who are now speaking discordantly with each other. At that time, the one who became known as King Brahma-given was none other than this youngest brother. At that time, that hermit also reconciled those who were in discord with each other, and they also became monks, developing the four concentrations and the five supernormal powers. Now, he has also made these six brothers, who speak with differing views, agree on one view. After they also became monks, they abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of Arhat. Then, the monks asked the Buddha, the Bhagavan: Venerable one, what deeds did this householder with sons and servants perform, that by the ripening of that deed, he was born into a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family, and that the Bhagavan was also pleased by these people and not displeased, and that his seven sons also became monks, abandoning all defilements and directly realizing the state of Arhat?
