Cows and buffaloes, female buffaloes and draught animals, calves and smaller calves, goats and sheep, and even small animals were tied to the trees. In order to perform the sacrifice, many foods and drinks were also prepared. Ascetics and Brahmins from various directions and regions arrived in Shravasti to experience my sacrifice. I request the Blessed One Gautama to teach in such a way that my sacrifice is not diminished in any way, even in the slightest aspect. Then, the Blessed One, based on that very sacrifice of his, taught the Dharma that was in accordance with it. Therefore, the Brahmin Luyapaka and the Brahmin's son Lakapaka, while sitting on the same seat, destroyed the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates with the Vajra of Wisdom, and manifested the fruit of stream-entry. Then Lakapaka said, "From now on, how should we Brahmins offer feasts?" The Brahmin Luyapaka said, "Lakapaka, do not say that. One should offer food to the Sangha of monks, including the Buddha, and after making the offering, the remainder should also be given to the Brahmins." Then Lakapaka said, "Teacher, I will do as you please." Then the Brahmin Luyapaka rose from his seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, and with his palms joined together, bowed towards the direction where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, would you grant permission to partake of food tomorrow at my sacrifice site, together with the Sangha of monks?" Then the Blessed One remained silent, thus granting permission to the Brahmin Luyapaka. The Brahmin Luyapaka, knowing that the Blessed One's silence was permission, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, and then departed from the Blessed One. Then, he went to the sacrifice site and released all the herds. Cows and buffaloes, female buffaloes and draught animals, calves and smaller calves, goats and sheep, and various small animals were released, and he said, "May the cool wind blow from the four directions, go forth, from now on"

He urged the Blessed One with a message: "Venerable one, the time has come, please partake of the meal." The Blessed One, knowing that the time had come, urged them to go. Then, the Blessed One, in the early morning, put on his lower garment and Dharma robes, carried his bowl, and was surrounded by a gathering of monks. The monastic community of monks led the way. He went to the place where the Brahmin Body-Light was, and having arrived, sat on the seat that had been prepared in the midst of the monastic community of monks. Then, the Brahmin Body-Light and the Brahmin boy Superior-Light, knowing that the Buddha and the monastic community of monks were sitting comfortably, satisfied them with many pure and excellent foods from their own hands, and gave them whatever they desired. With their own hands, they satisfied them with many pure and excellent foods of various kinds, giving them whatever they desired, and presented each of them with a pair of cloths. Having heard this, the Brahmin Body-Light immediately went to those Brahmins and said: "What harm has the ascetic Gautama done to you? I will give to you the offerings that I have prepared."
