འི་ཕྱོགས་གང་ན་ཝ་འདུག་པའི་ཕྱོགས་དེའི་སྟེང་གི་བར་སྣང་ལ་ལྷའི་གཞལ་མེད་ཁང་དང་བཅས་པར་འཁོད་དེ། མཉན་དུ་ཡོད་པ་ཐོག་ཐག་སྣང་བ་ཆེན་པོས་ཁྱབ་པར་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ཝས་ལྷ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་པོ་དེ་དག་མཐོང་ངོ་། །མཐོང་ནས་ཀྱང་ཁྱེད་སུ་དག་ཅི་བྱེད་ཅེས་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་ཅག་ནི་སྔོན་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་གྲོགས་པོ་དེ་དག་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཁྱེའུས་སྨྲས་པ། སྔོན་ནི་ངས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ཚུལ་དེ་ལྟ་མ་ ཡིན་པར་མཐོང་ལ། ད་ནི་ཚུལ་དེ་ལྟ་མ་ཡིན་པར་མཐོང་ངོ་ཞེས་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་ཅག་ནི་གནས་འདི་ནས་ཤི་འཕོས་ཏེ་ལྷའི་ནང་དུ་སྐྱེས་སོ། །ཝས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱེད་བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་ཡི་དམ་དུ་བླངས་པ་དེ་ཁོ་ནས་ལྷའི་ནང་དུ་སྐྱེས་སམ། དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་ཡི་དམ་དུ་བླངས་པ་དེས་སྐྱེས་པ་མ་ཡིན་གྱི་སྔོན་ངས་མི་དགེ་བའི་ལས་ཀྱིས་ཡི་དགས་སུ་སྐྱེས་པ་ལས། ངེད་ཀྱིས་འཕགས་པ་ཤཱ་རིའི་བུ་ལས་བརྟེན་ནས་ཡི་དགས་ཀྱི་སྐྱེ་གནས་དང་བྲལ་ཏེ་ལྷའི་སྐྱེ་གནས་ཐོབ་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱང་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་སྐྱབས་སུ་སོང་ཤིག་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱང་སྡུག་བསྔལ་འདི་ལས་ཐར་བར་འགྱུར་ཡང་སྲིད་དོ་ཞེས་བྱས་ནས་ལྷ་དེ་དག་དེ་ཉིད་དུ་མི་སྣང་བར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །འོད་སྲུང་རྫོགས་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་ལྷ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་པོ་དེ་དག་ཝའི་ཐད་དུ་སོང་བ་མཐོང་ནས་གཞན་དག་ལ་བསྙད་དེ། འདི་ལྟར་འདི་ལ་ལྷ་རྣམས་ཀྱང་ལུས་སྟོན་པར་བྱེད་ཅིང་འོང་བ་ལས་ན། བདག་ཉིད་ཆེན་པོ་འདིས་ནི་བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་གྲུབ་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། ། དེ་ནས་དེ་ཐོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་སེམས་ཅན་མང་པོ་དག་གིས་ཕྱི་ས་བཟའ་བར་ཡི་དམ་བླངས་སོ། །ཁྱེའུ་ཝས་ནི་ལྷ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཚིག་ཐོས་ནས་བསམས་པ། བདག་སོང་ལ་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱའོ། །འོན་ཀྱང་བདག་གི་ལུས་འདི་ཁོ་ན་ལྟར་ཕྱི་སས་ཡོག་བཞིན་དུ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་ལྟར་འགྲོ་བ་ནི་མི་ཕོད་དོ་སྙམ་སྟེ། ཆུ་ཀླུང་ཁང་ལྡན་གྱི་འགྲམ་དུ་སོང་ནས་ལུས་ཐམས་ཅད་སས་དྲུད་དེ་ཁྲུས་བྱས་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་སོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་ཁྱེའུ་ཝས་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་སྐུ་སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོའི་མཚན་སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་ལེགས་པར་བརྒྱན་ཅིང་སྤ་བར་བྱས་པ། མེ་ལུས་ཀྱི་དབྱིབས་སུ་འདུག་པ་ལྟ་བུ། མེ་ལྕེ་མར་གྱིས་བཏབ་པ་ལྟ་བུ། མར་མེ་གསེར་གྱི་སྣོད་དུ་བཞག་པ་ལྟ་བུ་མཆོད་སྡོང་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་སྣ་ཚོགས་ཀྱིས་སྤྲས་པ་ལྟ་བུ་བློ་གསལ་ཞིང་དྲི་མ་མེད་ལ། རྣམ་པར་དག་པ་དང་ལྡན་པའི་སང

In the direction where Va was, in the sky, resided a celestial palace, and those listening were enveloped in great light. Then Va saw those five hundred gods. Having seen them, he asked, 'Who are you? What are you doing?' They said, 'We are your former friends.' Va said, 'Before, I saw you were not like this, and now I see you are not like this.' They said, 'We died from here and were reborn in the heavens.' Va said, 'Did you only get reborn in the heavens because you took vows of asceticism?' They said, 'It is not because we took vows of asceticism that we were reborn, but because I was previously born as a hungry ghost due to unwholesome deeds. We relied on the venerable Shariputra and were separated from the place of birth as a hungry ghost, and obtained the place of birth as a god. You should also take refuge in the Buddha Bhagavan, and you may also be liberated from this suffering.' Having said this, those gods disappeared immediately. Light Protector Accomplished also saw those five hundred gods going to Va, and said to others, 'Like this, the gods also manifest their bodies and come, this great being has achieved asceticism.' Then, as soon as they heard this, many beings immediately vowed to eat excrement. Va, having heard the words of the gods, thought, 'I should go and attend to the Buddha Bhagavan.' However, thinking, 'Like this, with my body covered in excrement, it is not appropriate to go to the Bhagavan,' he went to the bank of the Ganges River, washed his whole body with earth, and then went to where the Bhagavan was. Then, Va saw the body of the Buddha Bhagavan, well adorned and radiant with the thirty-two marks of a great being, like a body of fire, like a flame of fire fueled by ghee, like a butter lamp placed in a golden vessel, like a stupa adorned with various precious jewels, with clear wisdom and without defilement, possessing purity.

I saw the Bhagavan on the earth. Having seen him, I felt great joy. What is the feeling of a sentient being who arises from the cause of accumulating virtuous roots when he first sees the Buddha? Even if one practices calming the mind for twelve years, such a feeling will not arise. Having seen him in that way, I went to where the Bhagavan was, and having gone there, I bowed to the feet of the Bhagavan with my head, and sat down in front of him to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Bhagavan understood his thoughts, habits, faculties, nature, and wisdom, and then taught the Dharma that was in accordance with him. Then, while the boy Va was sitting on that seat, he destroyed the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates with the vajra of wisdom, and realized the fruit of entering the stream. Having seen the truth, he rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, and with his palms joined together towards where the Bhagavan was, he said to the Bhagavan: Venerable, if I can go forth in the well-spoken Dharma-vinaya, receive the full ordination of a bhikshu, and obtain the status of a bhikshu, then I also wish to practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Bhagavan. Then, the Bhagavan ordained him with the words, "Bhikshu, come," and gave him the full ordination, and also gave him instructions. He also, through diligence, practice, and effort, abandoned all defilements, and realized the state of an Arhat. He, the Arhat, became one who was free from desire for the three realms, possessing a mind that was equal to gold and ashes, with no difference between the sky and the palm of his hand, as cool as if soaked in sandalwood, having destroyed the shell of the egg with wisdom, having obtained wisdom and supernormal powers and individual perfect knowledge, not looking to the gains and attachments and respect of existence, becoming an object of offering and remembrance and respectful praise by the gods with power and near power.
