The earth spoke: It is not only now, but also in the past, this person, because of not keeping the precepts and being promiscuous, was killed by many people. I saved him, and how he was established in the four dhyanas and five superknowledges, listen to me. Monks, long ago in the past, in a secluded village, there lived a villager who was not good at speaking and was promiscuous. Many people were looking for his faults, and they seized the handle of his affair with another man's wife, handed him over to the king, and the king ordered him to be executed. The executioners押着 him towards the execution ground, not far from that secluded village, there was a ascetic's dwelling, and a ascetic lived there. The ascetic went out to beg for alms, and that person saw him. As soon as he saw him, he prostrated at his feet and said: Ascetic, please do something difficult for me, please grant me the gift of life! Then, the ascetic let him go to see the king, took him to the ascetic's dwelling, and let him ordain. There, he generated the four dhyanas and five superknowledges. Monks, what do you think? At that time, the one who was the ascetic, dwelling in the bodhisattva conduct, was me! At that time, that person was this kind-hearted young man. At that time, he was also killed by many people, and I saved him, and let him dwell in the four dhyanas and five superknowledges. Now, also because he does not keep the precepts, he is killed by the people of Vaisali, and I save him, so that he is liberated from that, and dwells in the perfect Yungdrung (Swastika, a symbol, also refers to eternity) and the peaceful Nirvana. In addition, in the teachings of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector, this person, after ordaining, practiced pure conduct there for a lifetime, and made a vow at the time of death: May I be able to please the Brahmin boy prophesied by the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector, and may I not displease him. May I only ordain in the teachings of that Buddha, abandon all defilements, and manifest the state of Arhat. Monks, what do you think? At that time, the one who became a monk

That is none other than this excellent compassion. Because of it, he practiced pure conduct in one lifetime, and at the time of death, he made the aspiration: 'May I please the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha Light Treasury Buddha, the one whom Light Treasury Buddha prophesied for the Brahmin boy. May I not displease him. May I go forth only in his doctrine, abandon all defilements, and realize the state of Arhat.' Therefore, monks, I have attained the same as the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha Light Treasury Buddha, the same power, the same deeds, and the same means. This one has pleased me and has not displeased me, and having gone forth in my doctrine, he has abandoned all defilements and realized the state of Arhat. The story called Gelpo is as follows: The Teacher was residing in Shravasti. At that time, there lived in Shravasti a Brahmin who had no son, and desiring a son, he prayed to all the deities. Later, his wife conceived. After nine or ten months, she gave birth to a boy who was handsome, pleasing to look at, beautiful, plump, and full of skin, flesh, and blood. They held a grand birth celebration and discussed what name to give the boy. Because this boy was plump and full of skin, flesh, and blood, they said, 'Let this boy be called Gelpo.' Then, the boy Gelpo was raised with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of ghee. When he grew up, he learned letters, the conduct of Brahmins, behavior, and (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) ༀ་ (ॐ, oṃ, 唵), བྷོ་ (bho, bhō, 勃), cleanliness, rituals, taking ashes, holding pills, the Vedas of explanation, the Vedas of sacrifice, the Vedas of poetry, the Vedas of protecting the state, the act of sacrifice, having others perform sacrifices, giving, receiving, reciting, and the methods of teaching others to recite, and he became a Brahmin skilled in six kinds of work. Eventually, he became proficient in eighteen fields of knowledge.
