Having bestowed, he spoke: Good son, know that all compounded things are impermanent. All dharmas are without self. Nirvana is peace. Make my mind happy, and it may be possible to be separated from the animal realm. Thus he spoke. Then, he became happy in mind towards the Bhagavan. Having died and passed away, in that very place of Shravasti, he took rebirth in the house of a merchant. When he reached nine or ten months, a boy was born, handsome, pleasing to look at, and beautiful. They held a grand birth celebration for him. According to the family tradition, they named him. They raised and nurtured him with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of butter. When he turned seven years old. He gained faith in the teachings of the Bhagavan. He asked his parents for permission to become a renunciate. At the mere age of seven, through diligence, practice, and effort, he abandoned all defilements, and he directly realized the state of an Arhat. Having attained Arhatship, he traveled by means of miraculous powers. From other places, he would put flowers and fruits inside leaves. He would bring them and offer them to the Sangha. Then, the monks saw him and were amazed. Being amazed, they reported to the Bhagavan: Venerable one, this novice is only seven years old, but look at the qualities he has realized. Then, the Bhagavan said to the monks: Did you see me feeding grass to the bull and teaching it three lines of Dharma? They replied: Venerable one, we saw it. He said: He made my mind happy, and having died and passed away, he was born in the house of a merchant here in Shravasti. He became a renunciate in my teachings. At the mere age of seven, he abandoned all defilements and directly realized the state of an Arhat. They reported: Venerable one, what karma did this novice commit that the ripening of that karma caused him to be born as a bull? And what karma did he commit that the ripening of that karma caused him to be born as a human, and he pleased the Bhagavan? He did not displease, and he defeated those who live a hundred years. He abandoned all defilements.

断绝后，亲自现证了阿罗汉果位。世尊开示说：诸比丘，此人造作并积聚了此业。诸比丘，过去世，在此贤劫中，众生寿命二万岁时，圆满正等觉、具足明行足、善逝、世间解、无上士、调御丈夫、天人师、佛、世尊名为光护如来出世。他在其教法中出家，成为负责供水的比丘。他用公用的勺子给僧团分水时，一位阿罗汉比丘不小心碰到了他，他手中的勺子掉落摔碎了。他生气地说：这个人像头蠢牛一样，又大又迟钝。阿罗汉听到他的话后，把他带到一边说：尊者，你知道我是谁，你是谁吗？他说：我知道，你也是出家人，我也是出家人。他说：哦，我们出家虽然一样，但你是被一切束缚所束缚的凡夫，而我是从一切束缚中解脱的人。你说了粗恶语，请忏悔你的过错。你将在轮回中流转，获得不悦意的业果。听到这些话后，那位比丘生起了极大的后悔心，他顶礼那位比丘的脚，请求宽恕，并在一生中行持梵行，临终时发愿：我因对如此殊胜的应供处说了粗恶语，愿此业不要成熟于我。如此，我虽在一生中行持梵行，却未获得任何功德之聚，愿我能令光护如来所授记的婆罗门童子成为正等觉佛的光护如来欢喜，不要令他不欢喜。愿我能在他的教法中

Having abandoned them, he directly realized the state of an Arhat. The Blessed One said: "Monks, this person performed and accumulated that action. Monks, in the past, in this fortunate aeon, when the lifespan of beings was twenty thousand years, the fully enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, the Knower of the World, the Guide of those to be trained, the unsurpassed Teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Blessed One named Light Protector appeared in the world. Having renounced in his teachings, he became a monk responsible for providing water. While he was distributing water to the Sangha with a communal ladle, another Arhat monk inadvertently bumped into him, causing the ladle he was holding to fall from his hand and break. He became angry and said to the Arhat: 'This one is like a stupid ox, so big and insensitive.' When the Arhat heard his words, he took him aside and said: 'Venerable one, do you know who I am and who you are?' He said: 'I know, you are also a renunciate, and I am also a renunciate.' He said: 'Oh, although we are similar in having renounced, you are an ordinary being bound by all bonds, while I am liberated from all bonds. You have spoken harsh words, please confess your fault. You will wander in samsara and obtain undesirable results of karma.' Immediately upon hearing this, the monk felt great remorse. He prostrated at the feet of that monk and asked for forgiveness, and having practiced celibacy for one lifetime, he made a prayer at the time of death: 'May this action of speaking harsh words to such a supreme object of veneration not ripen for me. Thus, although I have practiced celibacy for one lifetime, I have not obtained any accumulation of merit, may I please the Light Protector Buddha, who is the fully enlightened Buddha prophesied by the Light Protector Buddha to the Brahmin boy, and may I not displease him. May I renounce in his teachings.'

He practiced celibacy there for one lifetime and made a prayer at the time of death, saying: May I please the Buddha, the Blessed One, the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector, who prophesied about the Brahmin boy, and may I not displease him. May I be ordained in his teachings, abandon all defilements, and realize the state of Arhat. Therefore, monks, I have attained the same perfect enlightenment as the Buddha Light Protector, the same power, the same deeds, and the same skillful means. This one has pleased me and has not displeased me, and having been ordained in my teachings, he has abandoned all defilements and realized the state of Arhat. The story of "Good Protector" is as follows: While residing in Vaishali, at that time there was a chieftain named Singh in Vaishali. Later, his wife became pregnant, and after nine or ten months, she gave birth to a boy who was handsome, pleasing to the eye, beautiful, and possessed great strength. They held a grand birth celebration and named him Good Protector. After that, the boy Good Protector was raised with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, and the essence of ghee. When he grew up, he was sent to study writing. Kings of royal lineage, who were crowned from the crown of their heads, learned various crafts and professions, such as riding elephants, riding horses, carrying weapons, throwing forward, throwing backward, fighting on the battlefield, holding hooks, holding ropes, shooting large arrows, throwing single-pointed vajras, stabbing single-pointed spears, throwing wheels, cutting, and splitting.
