Those who have fallen into evil destinies, I will rescue them from evil destinies and place them in the heavens, liberation, and fruition. Those who are drowning in the mire of misdeeds, I will pull them out by the hand. Those who do not have the seven noble riches, I will place them in the dominion of the seven noble riches. Those who have not generated roots of virtue, I will cause them to generate. Those who have already generated roots of virtue, I will cause them to fully mature. Those who have already fully matured roots of virtue, I will pierce them with the sword of wisdom. For them, I will make them possess a world adorned with the appearance of the Buddha and its fruits, thus the eye of wisdom will operate. The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, even if the tides may sometimes recede, but for those disciples who need to be tamed, the appearance of the Buddha is never late. Then, the Blessed One, considering that the time had come to tame that householder's son, the Blessed One emanated another garden near that garden, and in that garden began to teach the Dharma to many people with the voice of Brahma. Then, that householder's son heard the sound of the Blessed One's voice from that garden. Having heard it, he thought, 'I have never heard such a pleasant human voice before,' and was amazed. He thought, 'I should go there and see who it is that possesses such a beautiful voice.' Then, he went in the direction from which the sound was coming, into the other garden. That householder's son and his retinue saw the Buddha, the Blessed One, whose body was well adorned and decorated with the thirty-two marks of a great being, like a burning flame, like a flame nourished by ghee, like a butter lamp placed in a golden vessel, like a stupa adorned with various precious jewels. He saw the Buddha, the Blessed One, who was intelligent, immaculate, and possessed of purity. Having seen him, he felt great joy. For a sentient being arising from the cause of accumulating roots of virtue, what is the joy of seeing the Buddha for the first time, even one who has practiced calming the mind for twelve years would not generate such joy.

also transformed. Having seen that, that householder's son developed great joy in the Bhagavan. Having developed joy, he went to where the Bhagavan was, and having gone, he bowed to the feet of the Bhagavan with his head and sat to one side. Then, the Bhagavan understood the thoughts and habits of that householder's son, as well as his faculties, wisdom, and nature, and taught him the Dharma that was in accordance with them, and having heard that, that householder's son, while sitting on that very seat, destroyed the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the collection of destructibles with the Vajra of Wisdom, and directly realized the fruit of stream-entry. Having seen the truth, he rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, and with his palms joined together in reverence in the direction of the Bhagavan, he spoke thus to the Bhagavan: Venerable one, if I am able to go forth and receive full ordination in the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya, and obtain the status of a Bhikshu, I would also like to practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan said: Young man, have you informed your parents? Venerable one, I have not. The Bhagavan said: Young man, the Buddhas and the Shravakas of the Buddhas do not cause anyone to go forth without the permission of their parents, go and inform your parents and come back, and afterwards it will be easy for you. Then, that householder's son said: As you command. Then, that householder's son went to his parents and said: Father and mother, please allow me to go forth in the teachings of the Bhagavan. Then, the two parents thought, we cannot prevent this, and said: Son, we allow it, whenever you gain some special distinction, come and see us. Then, he said: I will do so. Then, that boy went to where the Bhagavan was, and having gone, he bowed to the feet of the Bhagavan with his head, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, and with his palms joined together in reverence in the direction of the Bhagavan, he spoke thus to the Bhagavan: Venerable one, I have received permission from my parents, to go forth in the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya.
