Having entered, even if one enters equally between the meditations arising from that highest point, one cannot realize the end of that life. Having died from among the animals, one is born only as an animal, and only knows that one has obtained such sufferings. He thought, "Who else besides the Blessed One can prophesy this karma for me?" He possesses unobstructed wisdom vision and infinite wisdom vision. Thinking thus, he disappeared from the seashore and went to Shravasti. At that time, the Blessed One was sitting in the midst of hundreds of thousands of retinues, teaching the Dharma. Then, the Venerable Maudgalyayana's son thought: "Now is the time for me to report to the Blessed One in order to cause many people to become disgusted." Thinking this, he went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, he bowed to the Blessed One's feet with his head, and then sat to one side. Having sat to one side, the great Venerable Maudgalyayana's son said to the Blessed One: "Venerable, I often, according to my way, at different times, wander in the hells, among the pretas, among the animals, among humans, and in the heavens. Then, I return and tell people about the sufferings of beings in hell, such as cutting, chopping, beating, and cooking. Then, I return and tell about the sufferings of the pretas, such as hunger, thirst, burning, scorching, and cooking, and the sufferings caused by animals eating each other, and the sufferings of humans, such as searching, fighting, and fatigue, and the sufferings of the gods, such as death, falling, scattering, and destruction. Because of this reason, they will feel disgusted, and having felt disgusted in this way, they will also attain higher achievements. Venerable, I prepared to wander among the animals, and disappeared from Shravasti, and arrived at the seashore. Venerable, when I arrived there, I saw a being whose body was two thousand one hundred yojanas.

Having seen such a thing, therefore, the smallest other aquatic creatures came to it. They cut its body into pieces of one yojana, two yojanas, three yojanas, and up to one hundred yojanas, cutting and eating it. Because of this, it will experience intense, unbearable, hot, and unpleasant feelings. Then, exhausted by the illness, it came to the land to seek refuge. When it came to the land, five hundred yakshas born from its karma appeared. They used five hundred axes to cut forty-one ribs for five hundred days. Then, when they had cut all its ribs in that way, it let out a great cry due to unbearable pain and then returned to the great ocean. The blood that flowed out as it returned made the great ocean turbid and mixed, like an ocean of blood. While it was in it, it was eaten by those creatures again. Whether it was on land or in the water, it experienced great suffering. Bhikshu, what kind of karma did that being do? Due to the maturation of that karma, it was born in the animal realm and experienced such suffering. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Maudgalyayana's son: Maudgalyayana's son, that being is one who commits sinful deeds. He has done many sinful deeds. Maudgalyayana's son, in the past, a fully enlightened Buddha named Mountain King, who had transcended the level of hearers and solitary Buddhas, appeared in the world. At that time, a householder gained faith in the teachings of the fully enlightened Buddha Mountain King. He heard the Dharma from him and realized the fruit of non-returner. His wife was beautiful in form, pleasing to look at, and beautiful. The householder said to her: Good woman, I have received the five foundations of pure conduct from the Blessed One. If you stay here, I will give you food and clothing. But if you want another man, I will give you to him. She said: Lord, I do not want any other man.

"I am a servant of Jowo himself," he said. That woman was admired by many people because of her beautiful appearance. There was a man belonging to a certain caste in that place, and he thought, "What can I do to meet that woman?" Later, one day, he took a lot of gold and silver and some witnesses, and went to that layman and said, "Layman, I have to go somewhere for a royal affair, and I can't take these things with me. Until I return from there, I will entrust them to you for a while." That layman was upright by nature, and he accepted those things in front of the witnesses. Then, the man belonging to that caste handed the things to him, went back to his own house, and after a while, went to that layman and said, "Layman, give me back the things I entrusted to you." That layman returned the things to him without any witnesses. After that, he put the things in his own house, and again took the witnesses and went to that layman and said, "Layman, give me back the royal property that I entrusted to you." The layman said, "I have already returned it to you." The man belonging to that caste said, "I didn't take anything from you at all." After saying that, the man belonging to that caste said to those witnesses, "Look at the behavior of this layman! I entrusted the things to him in front of the witnesses, how could he give them only to me?" After saying that, He took the layman to the king's palace, defeated him through debate, then took him back to his own house, whipped him with wet whips, tortured him severely, broke all his ribs, and the layman died because of that. After that, the man belonging to that caste, because that man had no son, collected all his family property. He also took his wife back to his own house and said, "Good woman, I did such a wrong thing for you. Now this house is your home. You are my wife." After saying that. Then, the layman's wife said:
