He was named "Born." The children said, "That householder has a dog named 'Born,' who brought this person from the main road and gave him to him, so this person's name was also named 'Born.'" Then that woman thought, "This is my son!" She went to that boy and told him all those words, saying, "Therefore, child, you are my son, and I am your mother!" Then, as soon as that boy heard those words, he redeemed his mother from the prostitute with money, and then took her home and placed her in the house. That boy's father also completed his voyage on the sea, returned to his own home, embraced his parents, and after placing the goods inside. He went to his own place, but his wife was not visible, so he asked his parents. That girl's father's name is "Steam," and he referred to his wife by that name, saying, "Father, Mother, Steam's daughter is not here, where has she gone?" The two of them said, "That girl did not prepare water for you, she made a mistake, so we drove her out of the house." Then that boy said, "The child in her belly is my child, you were wrong to drive her away." Having said that, he went mad from being separated from her, and wandered around shouting, "Where has Steam's daughter gone?" He asked everyone, saying, "Have you seen Steam's daughter?" No matter what methods his parents used, they could not calm him down. He came out naked and wandered around, going to the place where his wife and child were. Then, he came out naked and wandered around, arriving at the door of that boy's house. The boy saw him and told his mother, saying, "Mother, there is a man who is mad, wandering around shouting, 'Where has Steam's daughter gone?'" As soon as that woman heard those words, she became suspicious, thinking, "Could that person be my husband?" She went to that person, and as soon as she saw him, she recognized that person, and then took him back to her own house, saying, "Husband, I am that Steam's daughter!" As soon as he heard those words, that man regained his memory. Then that woman said to that man, "Husband, I am yourུན་མོ་ལགས། This is your son coming back. Come to our house. Having said that, the woman had the man bathe, trim his beard, put on clothes, and finally took him to her own house. Monks, what do you think? The one who became a woman at that time was this Dharma-giving mother. At that time, she was also praised by many people and painstakingly guarded the place of pure conduct. Even now, she is praised by many people and painstakingly guards the place of pure conduct. The Hundred Deeds, Volume Twelve, Two Kinds of Cutting. The first kind of cutting is: The story takes place while residing in Shravasti. The venerable Maudgalyayana's son regularly wanders in the hells of sentient beings, wanders among the pretas, wanders among the animals, wanders among humans, and wanders among the gods. Then he comes back and tells people about the suffering of cutting, chopping, beating, and cooking, etc., of the hells of sentient beings. After coming back, he tells of the hunger, thirst, burning, scorching, and cooking, etc., of the pretas, and the suffering of animals caused by eating each other, the suffering of human quarrels and fights, and the suffering of the gods' death, fall, scattering, and destruction. When they hear it, they will become weary, and having become weary, they will also attain higher distinction. Then one day, the venerable great Maudgalyayana's son prepared to wander among the animals and disappeared from Shravasti. He stood on the seashore, where the great sea had three levels of depth. The first level of water had a depth of twenty-eight thousand yojanas, and inside it lived creatures called crocodile fish, whose bodies were seven hundred yojanas. When they are hungry, they rise up from the first level of water, open their mouths, and inside there are creatures much smaller than them.

Those waters also flow into their mouths along with it. Then, when their bellies are full, those waters are filtered out and discharged. The creatures dwelling in the bellies then engage in the activity of feeding. The second body of water has a range of twenty-five thousand yojanas. In it dwell creatures called crocodile-fish-swallow, whose bodies are four thousand yojanas. When they are hungry, they emerge from the first and second bodies of water and engage in the activity of feeding. The third body of water also has a range of twenty-five thousand yojanas. In it dwell creatures called crocodile-fish-swallow-swallow, whose bodies are two thousand one hundred yojanas. When they are hungry, they emerge from between the first, second, and third bodies of water and engage in the activity of feeding. At that time, a creature called crocodile-fish-swallow is born in the great ocean, and other crocodiles smaller than it gather around it, cutting off pieces from its body, some one yojana long, some two yojanas long, some three yojanas long, and some even a hundred yojanas long, cutting and eating them. Therefore, it experiences intense, unbearable, hot, and unpleasant feelings. Exhausted by suffering, it comes to land seeking refuge. When it comes to land, five hundred yakshas born from its karma appear, and with five hundred axes, they cut off forty-one of its ribs over five hundred days. Then, when they have cut off all of its ribs in this way, it utters a great cry of unbearable pain, and then crawls back into the great ocean. The blood flowing out as it crawls makes the great ocean turbid, mixed together, and it appears like a sea of blood. After it enters into it, it is again eaten by those creatures. Whether it is on land or in the water, it experiences great suffering. Then, the venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana thought, "What karma did this being commit, that it experiences such great suffering as a result of the ripening of that karma?"
